Chapter 15: 15
As a token of her sincerity and social standing, Kunou offered to be their exclusive tour guide for the duration of their time in Kyoto. Rias and the others saw no problem with that.
Over the next two days, Kunou showed them several places that they've yet to explore. Explaining the history behind certain shrines and temples. They also visited some restaurants that Kunou suggested.
Speaking of Kunou, she found herself really getting along with everyone. From time to time, she glanced at Rias a bit longer than necessary. Reminding herself that she was 20 years old while Rias is only 15. Though considering the relationship between Rias and her peerage members. It's clear age is irrelevant to them.
At this rate, she feels that it's almost inevitable that she'll end up developing a crush on the Crimson Chaos Creator.
They had all just left a restaurant to have lunch, currently they're walking across a bridge.
"Ara~ I have heard certain rumors saying that you shouldn't look back while crossing the Togetsu-kyo bridge." Shuri commented as they were walking.
"Hm? Why is that?" Kuroka wondered.
"Because when you look back, all of the knowledge you possess will be lost. It'll spell your doom. Another thing is that supposedly, couples will break up as well." Shuri answered while chuckling.
"How horrible." Gabriel gasped.
Shirone scoffed. "Sounds like nonsense."
"Everyone be on guard, we have company." Rias informed the group, her Seer Skill showed her the Hero Faction finally making their move against them.
It also helps that she's been having Ciel track their energy and heat signatures since this morning.
Everyone immediately got ready for the enemy, soon the purple mist of Dimension Lost was seen blocking their path. Also the surroundings all became gray and dull, meaning they were transported into an artificial dimension. The purple mist seemed to cover the whole city.
"Nya~ were in a different dimension. Everyone else besides us has vanished, a pretty terrifying ability to have." Kuroka commented.
"This mist…when my mother was kidnapped, I was told a similar mist appeared." Kunou said.
"Which means…these guys…" Shirone trailed off.
Seven shadow-like figures can be seen through the mist. The person in the middle aimed a spear-like weapon towards them.
A second later, a powerful blue-colored energy blast fired from the tip of the spear.
Holding her left hand up, Rias effortlessly tanked the attack with her hand.
All that was left was a bunch of smoke, she admits that there was some real weight behind that attack.
It makes sense how Cao Cao's attack easily broke through all of Azazel's defense barriers easily in the canon universe. Granted, Azazel did not form his strongest barriers.
The enemy walked forward and revealed themselves. Cao Cao, being the leader, spoke up first.
"Pleased to meet you, Crimson Chaos Creator. My name is Cao Cao. Yes, that famous Cao Cao from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Just so you know." Cao Cao introduced himself.
"So you were the ones who kidnapped my mother? What do you plan to do with her?!" Kunou demanded.
Cao Cao smirked at Kunou. "She shall be the subject of our dainty little experiment."
The young Kyuubi princess' eyes went wide hearing his words. "Experiment, you say?"
"But before that, I want to greet the famed Chaos Creator." Cao Cao declared.
"Well isn't this surprising? Not many have the actual guts to want to face me in battle. Though I would appreciate it if you returned to us the leader of Kyoto first if it isn't too much to ask?" Rias figured it wouldn't hurt to entertain Cao Cao.
Deep down inside she's screaming excitedly since this is her main character moment. This means she should expect to start having actual enemies.
She looks forward to instilling fear into them all.
"Feel free to take her back by force then." Cao Cao smirked.
