Chapter 11: Trust
Aurora's POV
I woke up with a smile on my face, I can't believe I just did that with someone I just met, last night was a dream come true. It was amazing.
"Am I the reason behind your smile?." He asks making me smile more.
"No! Just some old memories." I say and he hummed.
How can someone look so sexy in the morning?
"Breakfast." He asks.
This is not how one night stand goes.
"I wouldn't let you on an empty stomach."
I guess breakfast won't hurt. I seat on the bed, I smiled when I looked at him the memories of what we did last night can rushing back. Fuck I definitely didn't regret doing this with him.
He showed me how to turn on the shower, I checked my phone while I was in the bathroom, there a text from Claire.
"You better come back with good news." The message read making me laugh. I quickly texted her back saying I will be back soon and there is good news. I kept my phone so I will be able to take a shower.
After my shower, I got out of the bathroom. He was in the room, there was something in his hand.
"I got you this, I know the dress won't be a comfortable ware."
Fuck he is so considerate, how can someone I just met care so much about my comfort. I don't trust him.
Something I learnt from my father's business is that no one was nice for any reason, everyone had an ulterior motive, he already slept with it so what does he wants.
I knew I couldn't trust him, he is too nice for someone I have known for just twenty four hours if it's even up to that.
He got me clothes, it's like he knew a way to my heart. I knew I can't trust him but everything he did made me smile. No one has thought about me the way he has.
I need to think.
I changed into the cloth he got me, I made sure to check the cloth if there was anything attached to it before wearing it. It was a sundress, it was my size and a pair of slippers.
Don't over think Aurora, he probably figured it because of your shoes and dress my subconscious says.
I check my purse to find my gun, I let out a sigh of relief, I held on to my purse when I got downstairs, the aroma of the food welcomed me.
There was a woman in the kitchen cooking.
"Good morning."
"Good morning ma'am I'm sorry for the delay, I will soon serve breakfast."
"It's okay, is there anything I can help you with." She looked shocked when I asked her that, she turned to see if I was talking to somebody else.
"Don't worry about it." She smiled.
"Okay."
I went to the dining room waiting for Lorenzo, I learnt to always help the servants they were also humans unlike Tess that commands them like she brought them into this world. Which I found annoying and disrespectful.
"Missed me." He came behind me.
"Why should I?." I teased making his smile drop.
"I will get you back." He smiles.
The breakfast was my favorite, is this a coincidence or not, fuck I really needed to think, this man is doing everything I want and it's weird, I'm missing something and I will find out.
Did father send him to do this.
Father wouldn't, he would rather drag me back with my hair to New York or have me kidnapped from the club, it's something he would do.
After breakfast, I had to leave. He did get my number and offered to drop me home but I didn't want him to know where I lived, believe me I like him and probably a lot. Anytime I see his face or think about him I smile but I don't trust him not even one bit.
First I need to find out if he has anything to do with father or any of my family members.
He ordered a cab for me which I took, I promised to see him again.
"There comes the non-virgin." Claire sang as I entered the house.
Does she have to be this dramatic all the fucking time.
"Tell me everything."
"Give me some space to breath." I say and she drags my hand taking me to the couch.
"How about I tell you everything after I wake up."
"You wouldn't do that to me, I can't wait any longer, I thought you loved me." She huffed dramatically.
"I'm teaching you patience, you will need it in future."
"I don't give a fuck about that, tell me what I want to hear." She yells.
"Don't wake up the neighbors."
"It's ten in the morning it's their fucking business." She says and I laugh.
"Fine fine fine."
"Wait where did you get this cloth?."
"He got me this." I reply. "He is actually sweet."
"Tell me everything before I kill you." She threatens.
I made sure to skip the part where I made a grown man unconscious and told her how we met and we went to his home, when I got to the sex part she let out a scream.
Fucking hell she wants to hurt my earlobe.
"I'm fucking leaving if you don't stop."
"Fine I'm sorry." She says. "What happened next?."
I told her how I wanted to leave after the sex but he stopped me and then this morning, breakfast and the new dress.
"He totally likes you."
"I don't know."
"Are you kidding me? It's all green flags, he wants to be with you dumbass." She says.
"But why, he doesn't even know me."
"Does it matter, he likes what he sees, you are smart and beautiful g anyone would be happy to have you."
I hummed. Claire was hell bent on me meeting him again, she says I won't find some one else like him, I didn't want to hear any more of that, I needed to think and not about how sexy and good looking he is.
"Can we talk about this after I sleep."
"You are allowed to sleep but we are definitely going to talk about it."
I stood up when something dropped on the floor.
My gun.
