Zhuo Shi heard Anping's rejection loud and clear, and he was furious about it. He couldn't believe that Anping refused him without even explaining the benefits of the Star Battle Network.
But he was powerless to do anything. He knew he was no match for either of the two people in front of him, and the current location didn't allow him to act rashly.
Yun Ming and Yali knew Zhuo Shi well, and they could tell that he was seething with anger. But from their perspective, they were now senior members of the City of Miracles, and Anping had done nothing wrong.
They knew that there was no open conflict, but people who knew the inside story also knew that the Tang Sect, Shrek Academy, and the City of Miracles were in opposing camps. There was nothing wrong with Anping not wanting to talk to Zhuo Shi.

He left Zhuo Shi with his questions unanswered and took Yali back to the banquet hall. But instead of dancing or mingling, they wondered why Anping had refused.
They knew that the Star Battle Network, even in its testing stage, could be useful to the City of Miracles. It could be a valuable source of research, even if they didn't use it for combat.
The fairy herbs, on the other hand, was a rare but consumable item. Once it was used, it was gone. The Star Battle Network had much more potential and importance than the fairy grass.
But Anping had rejected the offer without any hesitation. They couldn't understand how Anping could ignore the future of the Star Battle Network.
Yali had a sudden thought and said, "Brother Yun, do you think Anping already has a plan or a project in this area, and that's why he turned down Shrek Academy?"
That seemed like the most plausible explanation to Yali. Yun Ming said, "That's possible, but I haven't heard Ling Hongchen mention anything about Anping's plans. Have you?"

Yun Ming asked, "You're closer to Gu Yuena. Has she told you anything about Anping's activities?"
Yun Ming was right about that. Yali had become good friends with Gu Yuena and Xu Xiaoyan since she joined the City of Miracles. They often went shopping together and had fun. Yali liked them a lot.
But she didn't have an answer to Yun Ming's question. She had asked Gu Yuena about Anping's work, but Gu Yuena didn't know either.
Yali shook her head and said, "I have no idea. Nana said she asked Anping what he was studying, but he only said she would find out later. I don't know if he's afraid of failing or if he wants to surprise us."
Yun Ming said, "I hope it's the latter, but I wonder if it has anything to do with virtual combat."
Yali agreed with Yun Ming. She had grown to admire Anping over time.
