Chapter 3: The Beginning Part 3
(How in the hell are we supposed to Defeat that monster?!)
'I got too cocky because I received a buff. I thought I could defeat them all. This was supposed to be a C-Rank Dungeon but Mid-Demons of higher tiers are gathering.' Grey said.
"Calm down Walker. We gotta think this through. We've lost so many already. You're leading the raid so don't lose composure." Adelbert said.
"Right, I'm sorry."
Grey stands up and gets in a stance. The Demonic Beast slowly turns around and stares at them with a smirk on its face.
"Skill, Sword Master."
Grey charges in for the Demonic Beast at full speed. The Demonic Beast swings at it but Grey quickly evades it and bounces around the cave.
He appears next to it and swings at it but the Demonic Beast connects an uppercut and sends Grey flying.
Elias surrounds the Demonic Beast with booby traps.
"You got sloppy."
Adelbert jumps for the Demonic Beast and thrusts his sword his sword but the Demonic Beast blocks it. Elias triggers the booby traps and causes explosions.
Grey sneaks up before it and cuts it in half.
"**Huff** It took time but we managed to defeat it."
Adelbert walks up to Ava.
"How is he doing?"
"I healed his other injuries but because of my lack of skills, I can't restore his lost arm. But he's going to be okay." Ava said.
(They managed to kill that Demonic Beast. It could have killed me at any moment yet it just looked at me, why?)

{Level Complete. Advancing to the Next Level}
"What?"
"Next Level? What's going on?"
A large light appears and it transports them to the next stage.
"That wasn't the Dungeon Boss?!" Davis asked.
(I knew it, it's just like a Video game. You clear stages so you can get to the boss. But--)
They all look around and they see the Next Level is an abandoned city with pipe leaks and toxic waste.
{Level 2: Defeat 100 Enemies}
"This time it's an abandoned city." Adelbert said.
"So we'll have to clear stages to get to the Boss. Now we have to defeat 100. It's just like the first gate outbreak, this dungeon is a high-tier dungeon." Grey said.
"I'll scout the area to spot the enemy." Elias said.
Elias casts a spell which allows him to fly.
"While Elias scouts the area, we'll need to prepare for our next target. If that Demon had a ranking, I'm sure it would be an S Rank tier, Maybe Wolf Level S Rank." Grey said.
"Damn it, Leo, Why were you not the one who got injured instead."
(She's been cold towards me lately. She used to be sweet, same with my little sister.)
As Elias keeps scouting the area, a Demonic Beast appears before him and throws a hook sending him flying through buildings and next to the Hunters.
"Up in the sky!" Adelbert shouted.
They all look up at the sky and they see Demonic Beasts flying in the sky.
"Demonic Beasts capable of flight? If I knew I would've brought Archers with me." Grey said.
"These Demonic Beasts are long-range battle types. It won't be easy bringing them down." Adelbert said.
"None of our mages are capable of spatial Manipulation. We'll have to find a way." Grey said.
"We have to defeat a hundred of these troublesome Demonic Beasts?" Elias said.
"Why don't we send Leo as bait." Ava said.
"This is no time for jokes, Ava." Grey said.
"She's right, I can draw the Enemy's attention towards me." Leo said.
"But Howard --"
"I want to be useful for a change."
"But you could get yourself killed."
"Which is why I want to take the risk. Hunters take risks after all."
"Fine, if you wish to do it."
'I hope the Demonic Beasts eat him.' Ava said in her thoughts.
Leo walks towards the middle of the city and just stands still.
(If I happen to die, I hope there will be someone willing to take care of Sherry. Sherry and I have never been on good terms but she's still my little sister.)
The Demonic Beasts come flying for Leo and all land before him.
(Shit! I really am going to die.)
The Demonic Beasts just look down on Leo.
'They're not attacking Leo?' Ava asked herself.
"Now's our chance!"
Grey and the Hunters charge in for the Demonic Beasts. They all start taking out one by one.
(They didn't kill me, Why?)
'If we were fighting them in the sky it would've been hard but now we have a chance.' Grey said.
A Projectile is fired at Elias and it stabs his side.
"Elias...?"
A Demonic Beast appears behind Grey and swings at him sending him flying.
"Walker! Elias!"
Grey gets on a knee and says,
'These Demonic Beasts got us surprise. So in every level, there's a boss.'
"Ava, tend to Elias's wound."
"Right."
{Enemies Defeated:83/100}
"Only Seventeen Demonic Beasts remaining." Grey said.
"You make it sound easy." Adelbert said.
'I don't have enough Mana for skills but I'll have to go for it.' "Skill, Sword Master."
Grey charges in for the Demonic Beasts at full speed and decapitates one by one. Adelbert drops his sword and cloaks his fists in mana.
"I have to at least get close to them."
Adelbert leaps for one and throws a hook at it. One of the Demonic Beasts flies to the sky and builds up its speed, and flies straight for Adelbert.
Adelbert connects a left hook, sending it flying through buildings. The Other Demonic Beast rams him through buildings.
Grey catches Adelbert and throws him to the sky and slashes the Demonic Beast in half.
"Woah, Mr. Grey and Mr. Adelbert are amazing." Davis said.
(Yeah, they're both able to hold off this many Mid-Demons despite being low-ranked.)
{Enemies Defeated: 99/100}
"That leaves just you, Mr. Archer." Grey said.
The Demonic Beast smirks and starts shooting at Grey and Adelbert. Adelbert and Grey dodge the projectiles and charge in for the Demonic Beast.
The Demonic Beast shoots straight for Grey and Grey tries to block with his sword but his arm is shot off.
"Grr."
The Demonic Beast appears between the both of them, and Adelbert tries to throw a hook but the Demonic Beast doesn't budge and it kicks both of them away.
It Shoots a projectile at Adelbert but it misses and hits Adelbert's side. Adelbert smirks and the Demonic Beast kicks him straight to the ground.
'My right arm has been shot off.' "Ava, How is Elias?" Grey asked.
"I'm ready to go." Elias said.
"Can you cast an illusion spell?"
"No Problem."
Elias casts a spell and the Demonic Beast is left in confusion. Grey jumps for the Demonic Beast and the Beast shoots at him but it is an illusion.
The Real Grey appears before the Demonic Beast and stabs it in the throat and drags the sword down, cutting it in half.
"They did it!" Davis shouted.
(They actually managed to do it by themselves.)
