Chapter 60: C Chapter 57 Harry’s Nightmare

The next lesson unfolded as Harry's impending nightmare.

Snape, like a cold bat, divided the class into pairs, instructing them to concoct a potion to treat boils. The professor circled Harry, seemingly on a mission to find fault.

However, a surprising turn of events brought Harry some comfort. Almost everyone faced Snape's criticism, except for Darren, whose potion earned a perfect rating.

Snape, utterly shocked, couldn't help but commend Darren's brilliance. "Perfect, simply genius idea, Slytherin gains 20 points!"

Harry couldn't suppress a triumphant smile, reveling in the fact that Snape had to give his younger brother, Darren, extra points.

Darren, seemingly unfazed, hadn't expected Snape's reaction. His mind had been filled with peculiar thoughts during the potion-making process, and even Cassandra didn't intervene.

With a few modifications, Darren's potion surpassed the textbook's perfection.

Hiss! Darren marveled at the innovative prowess of potion-making

...

Darren couldn't help but sigh. He looked up at Snape, who was staring at his potion in a daze, suspecting that the professor was missing his Lily mother.

It is said that Lily's original potion-making talent was also very high. But he was eager to tell Snape that his potion innovation was absolutely unmatched by Lily.

At the very least, it is not comparable at this stage. This talent for innovation did not appear at all until it acquired Snape's bloodline.

Apparently, this is most likely a Prince's tradition. His Lily mother didn't.

But he thought about it or didn't dare to say, not to mention whether he should know about it now. If everyone acquiesces that he knows these things, he dares to say it, and it may be Snape's drill heart. So he looked at Snape with a "simple" look and smiled deftly.

"Thank you for your compliment," Darren responded, maintaining an air of simplicity as Snape urged the class to continue working.

"Well, keep reading..." Snape whispered. His fingers clenched tightly. Lily! Your child, he is really too good, how good would it be if he were your child? It was a regret of his life.

...

Snape, lost in his own thoughts, clenched his fingers tightly, a silent lament for Lily's child who exhibited unparalleled talent. He turned to the other students, urging them to focus on their potions, breaking the spell of Darren's exceptional moment.

Darren shook his head, amused by Snape's demeanor. As he reached for his Potions Book, he noticed something amiss with Neville.

[Ding, found that the host has a scene of the Holy Father system playing around, now release a temporary task, rush to Neville's side, pick up the accident crucible, and run to the door.] ]

[Ding, after the mission is completed, get Neville's herbal talent, will the host receive the task?] ]

Darren, sighing at Neville's recurring troubles, accepted the task and released a green smoke in the underground classroom. Neville, in a mishap involving Seamus's crucible, found Harry and Darren at his side.

"Brother, get out of the way!" Darren shouted, swiftly picking up the deformed crucible and heading towards the door.

"Be careful!" Snape's angry cry echoed as Darren left the classroom. Snape, with a wave of his wand, redirected the crucible Darren carried.

"Are you crazy? Put me back in your seat!" Snape angrily scolded Darren. He then turned to Neville, berating him for his mishap with the porcupine thorn.

Darren, maintaining a composed facade, thanked Snape for the compliment. Snape, still lost in his thoughts, whispered for Darren to continue reading, his fingers clenching tightly.

The class resumed, and Snape directed his ire towards Harry and Ron. "Potter, why don't you remind him when he puts the porcupine thorns? Because of your recklessness, Gryffindor deducts twenty points!"

Harry felt the injustice, but Ron warned against challenging Snape. The class continued, with Snape even deducting points from Gryffindor for Neville's mishap.

An hour later, as Harry and Ron exited Potions class, Darren comforted them. The trio discussed Snape's peculiar behavior, with Harry expressing frustration at the seemingly unjust targeting.

"I lost thirty points in the first week of school, and oh my God, I don't know how to face my Gryffindor classmates!" Harry sighed, wearied by Snape's relentless actions.
