Chapter 38: Extinction

Well, only a handful of people in the whole school decided to transfer to another. Most still had faith in Dumbledore or were just too far away from any other school.

The fact that the Sorting Hat went missing didn´t go unnoticed by the students either. Dumbledore had only managed to create a similar looking hat that was able to use legilimency to sort the students in houses. It was a very crude attempt to copy the artifact the founders had created but it did its job.

The school board and Reta Skeeter also didn´t miss this opportunity to criticize and question the headmaster.

I just ignored everything and continued with my own things, in fact I was even considering dropping out. I had already more knowledge about magic than anyone to ever live and my initial excitement to attend Hogwarts has disappeared. I had replaced myself with my mirror clone for most of my time here and just didn´t see the point of continuing.

After almost a month of thinking, I decided to just leave. Needless to say, the professors were not happy when they heard that someone wanted to drop out of their school. It was one thing to transfer to another school but completely stopping education was something they couldn´t agree to but what could they do.

I just cleaned my room and left.

I spend the next few years inside my adopted parents house. I would occasionally read the newspaper to know what was happening and where I might be able to cause some havoc but other than that, I was completely focused on creating my home.

Dropping out was the right choice, ever since then I have progressed way faster then when I had to constantly put on an act or pay attention to what was happening. During the last three years I was able to finish several rooms, including my bedroom, the brewing room, the garden, the ranch and the library. The library was the physical manifestation of all the knowledge that was stored in my grimoires library.

I was in fact so busy that I only visited Leo once a year, on his birthday to be precise. That obviously didn´t sit well with any of the four and their opinion of me has to worsen a lot, not that I cared.

My collection of plants of this world has also been completed a long time ago and I was currently on my way back to Hogwarts. I had two reasons for doing so. First, I was going to secretly transfer Voldemort's soul fragments from the Ravenclaw diadem and the gaunt ring to an ordinary rock and throw it into the ocean, this way I could add them to my collection and confuse the hell out of him. Second, I was going to secretly give him a box containing a bottle. This bottle was going to release a disease that would kill anything non-magical on the planet. It was basically the solution to both Riddle´s and Grindelwald's war.

Long story short, muggles are extinct.

Longer story, I put Voldemort´s soul fragments from the diadem, locket, cup and ring into stones and randomly scattered them around the planet, some even in space. With even Tom not knowing where his horcruxes were and how they looked, there was just no chance that Harry and his group would find any of them.

After Voldemort conquered Magical Britain he tried to do the same to the rest of the world only to realize that he had no supporter outside and he was largely outnumbered. Not wanting to give up and having already made too many enemies, he opened my bottle and poured it into the ocean.

In less than a month, all muggles around the world died. When wizards noticed what was happening they even went as far as to break the secrecy law to help them but were unsuccessful. Without muggles there were barely 2 million humans left alive and they were not happy. They obviously turned all their anger to Voldemort who clearly didn´t think this through.

With the whole world out for them, it didn´t take long for him and all his supporter to either be killed or captured.

I just watched all this happening with a glass of wine in my hand. I didn´t care for any of their life and only saw their struggle for survival amusing. It was really funny to watch them get angry over deaths that would have happened sooner or later anyways and for human nature to show it true face.

It´s been over ten years since I dropped out and I was now mostly done with all important rooms in my home and I could always make more.

My only problem was Leo. He has developed a hatred against me that almost made me proud. I still remember the day he charged at me with murderous intention like it was yesterday. Well, yesterday was one of the many days he did it but not the first.

I decided to put him into a chrono sleep while I study space for the next few centuries or even millenniums. I was planning to wake him up when I arrived at a reality where he could have some fun on his own.

A/N- This chapter was a very fast one because although I already said I was going to speed run, I realized that even then it would take 5-10 chapter to get done.
