Chapter 26: Ancestors
"Well, this is just the restaurant menu. It's written what we can order to eat," Li Yuemei said, taking the menu from him.
She then called the person who was outside the room and ordered several dishes.
"Understood, miss, young master. Your meal will be ready in a few minutes," the person said before leaving the room.
'Hmm, it seems I have to learn to read. It will be useful in the future,' he thought as he looked at Li Yuemei, having an idea.
'She is intelligent and knows the world better than I do. Bringing her was indeed a good choice.'
"It's decided. Hey, you will teach me to read from now on, and anything else I don't know," he said seriously.
"Alright, and don't call me 'hey.' I have a name, Li Yuemei, and you need to find a name for yourself," she said, not minding teaching him.

It was a new sensory discovery in his life, and he realized why everyone had a happy expression when eating. So, he quickly devoured the meat on his plate.
Li Yuemei laughed at how he ate and the happy expression on his face. Then, she taught him how to use the utensils, and the two of them ate and drank happily.

A man entered a completely dark and hidden place from the world.

After entering the location, he walked slowly until he surpassed an illusory barrier.
Then, nine simple cabins appeared in his view.
The man bowed to the houses and said:
"I came to see the ancestors."
After a few moments, an old voice sounded.

"Yes, ancestors, I made a mistake and didn't have enough strength to protect our most promising disciple."
"It's my fault she was kidnapped. I ask the ancestors to punish me and help me rescue her."
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!?!" An extremely powerful and angry voice sounded from one of the cabins.
Immense pressure fell on the man, who let himself be pressed to the ground to try to calm the ancestor.
'Damn, those close to the transcendental realm are truly terrifying,' he thought.
"Old Li, calm down and listen to what he has to say. The most important thing is to understand the situation," the previous ancestor said, trying to calm him.
"Calm down? It's because the one who was kidnapped is not from your branch. Wei Ming, if something bad happens to Li Yuemei, I swear you'll pay!" The ancestor said completely furious.
Of all the ancient leaders of the sacred land, there was only one from the Li branch, and that was himself. Now that another with potential had been born, there was no way he wouldn't be furious, especially the Li branch, known for protecting its members above all and going completely crazy when something happens to someone from their branch.
