Chapter 30: Physique ability
After closing his eyes, he attempted to communicate with his physical self and understand more about his strength.
As he focused on sensing any connection, a change occurred around his body.
Li Yuemei was startled and moved away from him.
'That powerful energy, this is a different aura than before...'
Then she noticed that the snowflake on his forehead shone with a bluish light as ice, with a greater chill than all the ice arrows he had used before, began to form on the ground around him.
This ice was slightly light blue, almost transparent, and extremely pure, without any impurities.
As the ice began to form, the atmosphere in the cave instantly became freezing, and if it continued, the entire cave would become completely uninhabitable for the weaker ones.
Li Yuemei couldn't endure that cold and ran as far as possible from that ice.
"HEY, WAKE UP!! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?!?!" Li Yuemei shouted when she realized that the lightly bluish ice was approaching, and she couldn't withstand the cold even with her Qi protecting her.
He, entirely focused on trying to understand his physical self, heard her voice suddenly. Then all the ice spreading around him quickly returned inside his body.
Then his eyes opened, and his pupils were slightly white, but they quickly returned to their bluish color.
Li Yuemei sighed in relief, seeing that he had stopped releasing the power of his physical self.
As he opened his eyes, he felt that the air in the cavern was extremely cold, much colder than when he used the cold aura before.
Then he remembered the ice he released just now, and the ice he used to kill the dark serpent and for everything until now.
"They are not the same," he said suddenly.
"What?" Li Yuemei asked after approaching him with her body trembling from the cold.
He looked at her and said, "I thought all the ice that obeyed my thoughts were the same, but no, I never used the power of my physical self really all this time."
While saying this, two ice arrows formed in each of his hands. He was trying to create those arrows with the utmost of his abilities.
In both hands, arrows of ice with terrifying coldness were created; they looked extremely frightening.
One he used the Qi of the ice in the environment to create; this ice was blue, and despite being extremely cold and quite pure compared to what other people could use, it was still just common ice.
But in the other hand, this ice was created using only his physical; the ice was slightly bluish, almost transparent, as if it had absolutely no impurities.
The chilling air emanating from this arrow was at least three times greater than the one made by the ambient Qi, and its strength couldn't be compared.
After seeing the two ice arrows, Li Yuemei was extremely terrified by the power they emitted.
'This must be at the peak saint level of strength, no, it has already surpassed that, so this power... wait!' Li Yuemei remembered something, and then a book suddenly appeared in her hand.
"THAT'S IT!!" She exclaimed loudly, reading information from her book.
He saw that she had discovered something, and then the ice arrows disappeared. The ice Qi from one spread throughout the environment again, while the other returned to his body.
"The power you've been using all along, from killing the serpent to everything else, I finally figured out what it is, and it's as obvious as I didn't think of it before?"
"Am I stupid?" She exclaimed irritably with herself.
'No, maybe I just couldn't think that someone who understood this could live in this world,' she sighed in her mind.
He saw her expression changing constantly and found it strange.
"Just tell me what you know," he said with the same expression as always.
"You're using the power of the Ice Law, something only people in the transcendent realm can achieve, which is why even without Qi, you can be so strong."
"Those who comprehend a Law can use the ambient Qi of that Law for their power, as if it were their own, but they can only use a small part of the ambient Qi. You can use almost all the ice Qi around you, so I didn't think it was the Law, but some different power."
"But your understanding of the Ice Law may be greater than the knowledge we have here."
"After all, when someone ascends to transcendent, they usually leave the planet quickly, as the planet no longer accepts them and rejects them."
"That's why we don't fully understand how the Law works or its strength. The only thing I can say is that probably your understanding of the Ice Law is far ahead of everyone else, probably because of your physical self, and that's why you can use so much power from the environment."
'Uncle Wei and Elder Xu must have realized that what he was using was the power of a Law and that's why they didn't try to save me,' she thought after understanding where this guy's strength came from.
He listened to what she said and then understood. That power wasn't his own, but he only used the ambient Qi for himself. He thought about what he would do in a place where there was absolutely no ice Qi in the environment.
Then he thought about the other type of ice he created, and he realized.
"This is my power; this ice belongs to my physique. I feel that its strength, purity, and coldness are much superior. That's where I should focus," he said after understanding more about his strength.
"Yes, that's your unique power, just like all celestial physiques have. Although yours is certainly in a classification that is not known to us, now that you understand the power of your physique, you should be able to comprehend more or less the totality of your strength. The power of the physique is not limitless; it needs to be cultivated."
'Yes, I feel the limit of my strength now.'
He felt a connection with the snowflake on his forehead like never before.
'I feel that if I fully unleash the power of my physique, I could... recreate that frozen abyss mountain again,' he thought in his mind, but with no intention of telling Li Yuemei.
