Chapter 7: INTENSE

Mitsuki was hiding under a rock, trying to take a breather. Several Sulphur Cerebus were heading his way, picking up his scent. He looked at his left arm, which had received a good burn as he was evading the Cerebus.

"My goodness, I haven't even fought any, I'm just running away and it doesn't seem like this bastard Aqua is coming."

Suddenly he sensed large amounts of magic coming his way and even before he could fully react, he felt an impact on the rock, which was now turning red hot and melting.

"Damn!"

He quickly dashed to the left, heading towards one Cerebus.

"I have to fight back or else I will see that Grim bastard again. Let us see the things my abilities can do," he thought as he jumped upwards, evading an attack from behind.

So far, Mitsuki had realized that the eyes of god attribute was much more effective than he had imagined. His sensory sensitivity was so high that he could quickly analyze a skill that was going to be used before it could even be launched at him. His speed and stamina were also high, although the thing helping him outmaneuver the even faster Cerebus was his eyes.

"Damn, I need to check my skills, but I do not have an opportunity to escape and hide.."

[Orgaol left behind a skill and an ultimate skill that are unaffected by the drain skill since they do not use mana or any sort of energy.]

[Skill: Quantum. It enables you to temporarily stop time and your system and thought processing are buffed up., but you cannot move from your position, therefore cannot be used to inflict damage or to attack. You also cannot heal or regain energy while the skill is active.]

[Ultimate Skill: Divine conscious. It enables the user to evade any consecutive attacks done by a group larger than two, no matter the size and range of the skill. It also enables the user to execute several skills consecutively by analyzing the enemy and showing the skills that are effective against the attacking party. This ultimate skill can only be used when you are fighting more than two enemies consecutively.]

[These abilities can be activated at the same time.]

As Mitsuki ran around, bleeding, he smiled, looking at the skills. He stopped and turned towards the more than dozen Cerebus that were already behind him, ready to strike with their claws. His eyes glowed gold as the shadows from the surrounding Cerebus covered him.

"Activate both."

Everything froze in place. As said, he could not move at all due to the first skill. The system display appeared in front of him, although it was slightly different.

{Analysis complete. Skills and attributes that can be used include the following.}

{System Supremacy: Enables the system to get in sync with all your attributes.}

{Time manipulation: Enables you to either speed up or slow down time in a particular place or region. Stopping time is possible, but cannot be done due to your low power.}

{Singularity: This ultimate skill enables you to control all available energies in you efficiently. Some effects have been sealed away by the ring.}

{Edit: Enables you to alter the fundamental laws of reality.}

{Storm of chaos: This large scale skill summons lightning from the skies in intense amounts.}

"So these are the most effective skills I can use." Mitsuki smiled as he was getting excited.

"Let's do it your way, Aqua!"

{Skill Quantum has been deactivated.}

As time unfroze, the Cerebus' attacks proceeded. It was as if he now was untouchable as he countered all of the attacks, evading some and pushing others away using their own momentum. He did not know how to use magic, but he focused all his mana using the Skill Singularity onto his fists, getting into a violent exchange with the Cerebus.

"Edit: Change spatial location"

The image of Mitsuki distorted and he suddenly appeared above in the air.

"You can block spatial abilities but I can still use this like one,"

A large crest appeared in the sky, letting out a purple glow. If anyone saw the scene, It would shake them to their souls. The only distinct things were the large crest and intensely glowing golden eyes. Many Cerebus formed a group, combining their fire to form a wide stream of fire, shooting it upwards towards Mitsuki.

" Storm Of Chaos!!"

A bright light blinded Mitsuki and the next thing he saw was red lightning striking the whole area. Rocks got torn apart and several Cerebus got vaporized. As if the land was resonating with the attack, Lava erupted out everywhere, causing the temperatures to skyrocket and the ground got an orange glow. Mitsuki sped around, evading attacks from the surviving Cerebus. Suddenly, a humanoid like monster appeared in front of him with a blue spear and swung the spear violently at such speeds that Mitsuki was unable to evade it. He tried blocking it with his hand, which snapped on immediate contact and he was thrown back, breaking several ribs.

"Crap.. Crap!! That bastard Aqua also blocked healing! So, that is the boss of this monsters! Such power!"

{Humanoid Cerebus, Kozard.}

{Level: 100}

{ Weapon: Blue Diamond Cursed spear.}

{Level: 66}

Mitsuki winced in pain, looking at the slowly approaching Humanoid.

"I am unarmed. I need to get close to him to do close range combat.. But now, my left arm is useless.. What the hell should I do??!"

One of his eyes was now glowing red, causing Kozard to stop, although Mitsuki did not know this. He grit his teeth and dashed towards Kozard, taking the chance to solidly punch it in the guts, sending it flying away. He did not take a break as he followed him, jumping in the air and spinning violently to gain momentum and drop kicked Kozard, sending it down at fast speeds inside a crater of lava.

"That won't be enough to kill it! Let us hope this works!!"

He tried controlling the lightning that was still surging all round, focusing it on a single point above him. The ground rumbled as a surge of energy fell into the crater, pulverizing everything in a large radius. Mitsuki felt drained. He felt like he would collapse if he did not focus. Suddenly, he saw a blue glow from the crater and a spear came towards him at high speeds. He managed to evade it slightly, as the spear cut his face. He turned and held the spear with all his might and with a loud shout, he planted his feet on the ground as the force pushed him backwards.

"Edit: Invert spatial movement!"

With that, he hurled the spear back with all his might towards the crater, where the energy beam was pulverizing relentlessly. He suddenly cancelled the beam, startling Kozard who was blocking the beam from doing too much damage using its mana. The spear pierced its chest and the shockwave of the impact blew its chest away and blew the entire crater, causing an earthquake. Lava was now spilling out uncontrollably, killing the remaining Cerebus with the intense heat. Mitsuki dropped on the ground, weak and heavily injured.

"The mana I was using as a protection layer around myself is fading out.. I need to move away..."

He dragged himself to a high place as he looked at the after damage of the fight he had. The entire landscape had changed and lava was now flowing everywhere. He looked up and saw his magic crest break down like glass as his consciousness faded.

"How did you like that.. A..qua.."

[A Divine Pact skill has been unlocked: Absolute greed: You will gain the abilities of the souls harvested after you defeat a monster, a god, demon or human or any other divine entity.]

[Skill: Soul Judgement shall be used to harvest all the souls that you have defeated.]

A red smoke like energy from all over the area seemed to accumulate above Mitsuki. A distinct mass of energy, which was darker than the rest, also accumulated above him, yet Mitsuki had no idea of what was happening as he was already unconscious.

LUGUNICA

The summoned were all in an arena, all in armor and armed with weapons of their liking.

"Greetings, summoned ones, my name is Marcus Azrael, Commander of the Army of Lugunica. I shall be in charge of your training before the School of Lugunica is opened. I shall teach you all about the monsters, demons, divine beings and battle strategy." A man in a white armor said. The breastplate had the insignia of the kingdom and he had a great sword on his back. The summoned were all sweating, since they could clearly see the level of the man in front of them.

[Marcus Azrael]

"As you have probably seen by now, I am capable enough of training you and protecting you during the training. I know this is sudden, but the training you shall all do is the practical field type. This is a dangerous way because you all lack combat training, but it will be more effective for people of your caliber. You all have the ability to heal minor injuries quicker and in case of serious wounds, there are two healers who are accompanying us." Marcus said. They were all excited about training and using their abilities after being chosen by the Celestior.

"I shall now ask, who is in charge of you?" Marcus asked. Before Virginia spoke up, Mark raised his hand.

"I am, it's only natural since I am the most powerful here," He said. Murmurs spread among the summoned as some were okay with it and others were not.

"You cannot decide that for yourself Mark," Virginia said. "I was your class representative before, I am more fit for the leadership role."

"Oh? You?? You are just lowly filth. Level 20? You are tenth ranked here girl," Liz said, standing beside Mark. "Even I who is ranked third, is a better candidate than you."

"So now everything now is all about power??" Emilia asked, looking at Mark. "Is that why you threw Mitsuki back then?"

Mark smirked, revealing his aura.

"Oh? Mitsuki? I didn't do anything to him, I mean, do you have proof or anything? Stop accusing me falsely, Emilia. Besides, you are level forty, you should watch your mouth while speaking to me." Mark said. Emilia clenched her fists, trying to control herself.

"Well, It looks like your leader has been decided. We shall go out of the kingdom and we shall explore the plains and several dungeons, every day. We have a spatial mage that shall be returning you all to the kingdom in to rest everyday. Without further a do, Let us head out!"

"Yes sir!"

Virginia walked towards Emilia as the whole group followed Marcus.

"Sorry about that," Virginia said.

"No issue.. I shall very soon be ahead of this Mark bastard." Emilia said, her eyes glowing green. She looked at the system display in front of her.

[You have used ultimate skill Stealth of the gods to hide your ultimate skills.]

[Your attribute, Eyes of Time, will always be active]

[You have a faster growth as a privilege from being chosen by two gods.]

After Emilia talked with Ein during the previous night, she had felt the two marks on her back merge into one. It was quite painful, but she got a skill no other summoned had yet; a summon skill. Now as she looked at the system, she couldn't help but smile.

[Your summon has been found. A superior spirit entity has taken interest in you.]

[You have successfully entered into a contract with Adoffina, A superior spirit.]

As she felt the amount of power in her rise, she smiled even more intensely, surprising Virginia.

"Uh, Emilia... You good?"

"Yeah, I'm good, its just... I will show you later."

For a brief second, Virginia was sure she had sensed Emilia's power increasing, yet her level was the same. She smiled at Emilia, now somehow understanding what was happening.

Ein was seated at the edge of her room's window, looking at the summoned walk out of the arena. She smiled as she looked at Emilia. A feminine figure appeared from the furthest corner of the room and walked towards Ein.

"Do you feel it, my Queen?" the figure asked as it revealed itself. It was greater elf, wearing dark red dragon armor.

"Yes, I feel a spirit's presence in her. Tell me, greater elf spirit Peria, who has she summoned?"

"She is using a divine privilege that makes it impossible to see her true skill and her summon, but by judging the amount of spiritual energy I felt and the strange connection I felt, it appears she has a Superior spirit," Peria replied, nervous. Ein was also slightly nervous as she looked at Emilia.

"Mark and that Liz sure have made a grave mistake to get on her bad side."
