Chapter 21: The First Princess
"Well, Laria wasn't born yet, so hecould just tell them she died during her birth, and since human's don't know all of the demon's abilities, the one's behind him would never know." The queen started to think of things she didn't know about that endangered her family.
Laria took the opportunity and came over to me and sat on my lap. She gave me 'I dare you to push me away' look. I just gave her a warm smile and started to run my fingers down her hair. It was a thing we used to do in our past lives that she loved.
Laria smiled and decided to focus on the sensation of my fingers on her hair, ignoring everyone else around her but me.
"Then how about the group that poisoned Nina?" The Queen asked.
"What?!" Laria was shocked.
"Its best you don't learn about them, they are too dangerous, evennfor someone with your kind of power." I seriously tell the queen.
The queen sighed and decides to let go, but Laria was quite the opposite.
"Arron, I don't know how you have all this information, but you can't just tell me someone hurt my older sister and not expect me to not do anything about it." Said Laria with conviction.
"And how do you plan to fight them? Currently, you are weaker than everyone in this room. And this organization is stronger than the Death Kingdom."
Laria turned towards her mother to ask her, "Atleast tell me you have a way to cure Nina." The Queen pointed at me.
Laria turned to me, I could tell many silly ideas were starting to go through her head, so I kissed her again to get her attention.
I pulled away, she brought her fingers to her mouth, her mind was still somewhere else, so I asked her, "Want to go cure your sister now before we continue our conversation?"
I finally got her attention, and she nodded her head before she hopped off my lap.
The queen and Laria lead the way towards wherever the first princess was. Once we found her, the queen proceeds to tell her that she is poisoned, and that I was here to cure her.
Nina gave me a curious look before agreeing to her mother. The queen turned to me to ask if there was anything I needed to cure Nina.
I told her, "No, I don't even need to touch her, I only need her agreement to use my healing magic on her body."
The Queen didn't even bother to be surprise anymore, the same couldn't be said for Nina.
"I agree, I agree, you can use your magic on me." Nina said with a sparkle in her eyes.
I got started and use my healing magic on her, it only took a minute to cleanse her body from the toxins.
I told them I was done. Laria jumped on her sister with tears of happiness in her eyes.
"Thank goodness you're alright, I don't know what I would do without you." Nina was one of two people who didn't let her feel alone in this world where she knew no one, and that helped her see light in her situation.
After Laria finished hugging Nina, she came over to me and kissed me. "Thank you, you've always helped me when I most needed it, and even in this live, you continue to protect the things I care about," She looked over at Amaria for a second before saying, "I don't know about sharing you with others, but I am willing to give it a try just for you."
I give her a kiss myself before saying, "Thank you, I'll make sure you won't come to regret your decision."
She nodded her haid before continuing to hug me.
