Chapter 26: Gains (1)

Amidst the monster tide, Rasoul reaped significant benefits, securing substantial upgrades, new abilities, and expanded functionalities within his system. Alongside these improvements, he gathered a multitude of drops, including a wealth of fire Points, experience (EXP) points, and attribute points.

After a five-day enlightenment process, his rank ascended to the pinnacle of the Master stage. Despite being occupied with other concerns, Rasoul, now free from prior engagements, acknowledged the pressing need to address and explore these newfound assets, realizing it was long overdue.

He immediately delves into the messages...

[First Quest: Save Princess Vina and Her Maid Vira - completed successfully]

[Rewards:]

>100,000 Fire Points - Received

>1000 Attribute points - Received

>Medium Rate Rune Book - Received

>Hidden Reward - Received

"System, retrieve all the rune books I have received so far," Rasoul commanded, and instantly, two books materialized in his hands. One was the Basic Rune book, obtained a few days earlier upon completing a quest, but Rasoul had yet to delve into its contents.

Despite acquiring the Runesmith Subclass, he had not fully explored its potential. Runesmiths were exceptionally rare in most kingdoms and empires, as mastering the art of drawing runes proved challenging. Many individuals opted for Formations instead of delving into the intricate world of Runesmithing.

Rinesmithing is a coveted talent that many sought after. The nature of Runesmithing is vast and powerful. Rumors suggested that achieving Saint-level mastery as a Runesmith bestowed the ability to weave abilities according to one's desires.

Many Kingdoms and even empires sought out Runesmiths when they needed things related to Formations or Arrays. Though formations and an array are expected, Runesmiths' knowledge and skill level overshadows them.

Rasoul understood that mastering Runesmithing wouldn't be an easy task. He recognized the importance of laying a solid foundation before aspiring to achieve greatness. His ambitions extended beyond mere dominance; Rasoul sought to exert influence and supremacy in every conceivable aspect of the world. To achieve this, he acknowledged the necessity of becoming proficient in various professions, recognizing that strength in diverse fields was essential for realizing his ambitions.

Rasoul opened the first book, and then...

[Host has learned a new book - Basics of Runesmithing]

In an instant, Rasoul's mind became a repository for a multitude of information, immersing him in the foundational aspects of Runesmithing. The knowledge he gained covered the introduction to basic Rune Characters, the essential tools required, and a glimpse into the history of Runesmithing. Within this newfound understanding, Rasoul grasped the pivotal role of Runesmithing as the progenitor of all inscribing.

From Runesmithing emerged crucial concepts like Array Expects and Formation Expects, both intricately reliant on the presence and design of Rune Characters for their functionality. A key revelation awaited Rasoul as he learned about the indispensable tool of runesmiths—the 'Inscriber.'

These inscription tools varied in quality and rating, spanning from Copper, Silver, Gold, Diamond, and the extraordinary Soul/Spiritual Inscriber. Of particular interest was the Soul Inscriber, possessing an innate soul that yielded obedience exclusively to those who formed a contractual bond with it. Much like Soul Weapons, these inscribers could evolve and develop over time.

Aware that his progress in Runesmithing hinged on obtaining an inscriber, Rasoul carefully stored the current book, acknowledging that the journey ahead required the right tools for this mystical craft. Swiftly, he moved on to the next message.

[Hidden Reward:]

[New Ability Unlocked]

[Clone of Stone: Active] - (Tier 2)

>The Host can summon three earth clones with 75% of their power. Clones gain:

>Elemental Fusion: Merging with earth elements boosts each clone's power by 25% for 60 seconds, adapting to different situations.

>Earthen Vigor: Clones passively regenerate at 5% per minute by absorbing earth elements, extending their lifespan. The host can share this regenerative energy through physical contact.

'Another ability, huh? I suppose I'll have to use them more often to enhance my mastery,' Rasoul contemplated inwardly.

'System, where is the tier coming from?

[Tier is a new feature the host has unlocked after raising your rank a few days ago. It displays how strong an ability is and whether it can be upgraded. For now, It starts from Tier 1 to Tier 20, but the host can only access up to Tier 4. Subsequent Tiers will be unlocked as the host raises his mastery over his abilities.]

'Please tell me there is a way to upgrade the tier of my other abilities.

[There is, but it requires the use of a substantial amount of fire points]

Rasoul thought for a while before moving to a new message...

[Second Quest: Change the Morale of the Soldiers - Completed Successfully]

[Rewards:]

>Dark Olive Spiritual Fruit - Received

>Empty Scroll - Received

'System, what is this Dark Olive Spiritual Fruit, or more importantly, what are spiritual fruits?

[Spiritual fruits are infused with a dose of soul or spiritual energy. When eaten, these fruits can boost, nourish, or mend souls. Dark olive fruits, in particular, are specialized in enhancing the natural strength of the soul, giving a lift to the individual's spiritual energy.]

Rasoul wasted no time as he immediately placed the fruit in his mouth and started chewing. He felt a wave of energy entering his soul. The taste is quite sweet, making the overall nature of the fruit pleasurable. After a while, he received the message...

Ding...

[Purple Rank Dark Olive Spiritual fruit consumed - Your innate soul strength has been enhanced]

'Wait, purple Rank? System, mind explaining.'

[Spiritual Fruits come in ranks: Blue, Green, Purple, Gold, Violet, and Grey.]

Spirtita=uls fruits are like national treasures that many will kill for. If an alchemist sees him, Rasoul consuming the fruit just like that would have coughed out blood, seeing Rasoul just was the fruit like that. Alchemists use the spirit fruits to make high-quality potions and pills.

A purple Rank Fruits can cause a bidding war in auctions should one appear. They are Rare, and only the wealthiest have access to such fruits.

'Now, let's talk about the next thing. What's an empty scroll, and how do I use it? I've got many of them in my inventory,' Rasoul inquired.

[Empty scrolls are like blank pages waiting for you to draw on them with ink. You can use them to create abilities. These scrolls have complex runes woven and inscribed, allowing you to make your abilities. Just think about the ability you want, which will be written on the scroll. The catch is that the ability can't be more powerful than Tier 2, and you can't improve it by mastering it. If you want to boost the ability's Tier, you have to use the system to upgrade, and it will cost a good amount of Fire points.]

"This is awesome! I need a vivid imagination, and I can make super strong abilities," Rasoul exclaimed enthusiastically. He grinned widely, picturing how to use his engineering smarts to create complex and powerful abilities. After admiring the scroll, he stored it away and moved on to the next message.

[Third Quest: Define Orange Field City - Completed Successfully]

[Rewards:]

>Ability Modification Pass - Received

>1,000,000 Fire Points - Received

>Savior Of Orange City Title - Received

>Hidden Rewards - Received

Rasoul's third quest brought three exciting bonuses: an Ability Modification Pass, the fancy title of Savior Of Orange City, and a mysterious Hidden Reward. Although Rasoul is familiar with the coolness of hidden rewards, getting a title and a pass is a fresh experience for him. Excited to check out these new goodies, he quickly looks into the rewards and is relieved to find that they come with helpful descriptions.

[Ability Modification Pass]

-- This pass lets you choose one ability and tweak it to your liking.

Note: You can only use this pass once.

'This is fantastic! I can tweak my abilities to suit me. I wish I had more of these. It's kind of like the scroll; I really need to learn Runes quickly,' Rasoul thought to himself.

The Ability Modification Pass proves to be a remarkable feature, granting Rasoul the coveted admin privilege to alter any ability according to his preferences. Given Rasoul's engineering prowess and mastery as a master programmer, he is the creator of a robust Artificial Intelligence system with self-learning capabilities and the ability to self-modify. With his exceptional intelligence, Rasoul now holds the power to customize any ability to suit his ingenious mind and achieve even greater feats.

[Savior Of Orange City Title]

-- The host gets a 200% strength boost in Orange Field City.

'This is a major power-up! The only catch is, it only works in Orange Field City, not anywhere else,' Rasoul noted.

[Hidden Reward:]

[New Ability Unlocked]

[Geomimicry Triad (Active)] - (Tier 2):

-- The Geomimicry Triad is an active ability that lets the Host summon three distinct earth manifestations, each inheriting 75% of the host's abilities. These manifestations include:

>> Terramorphic Guardians: The first clone acts as a robust earth guardian, absorbing and redirecting kinetic energy to defend the host and allies.

>> Tectonic Puppetry: The second clone excels in intricate earth manipulation, allowing it to strategically shape the terrain, create obstacles and barriers, and launch seismic waves to control the battlefield.

>> Earthen Synergy: The third clone has an enhanced connection to the earth, enabling it to regenerate the host's health rapidly, provide a temporary boost in physical capabilities, and become temporarily intangible to avoid attacks.

[Restriction:] The Host must maintain a mental link with all three clones simultaneously, requiring significant concentration. If the Host's focus is disrupted or compromised, the clones' effectiveness diminishes, and their powers may become uncontrollable or backfire. Keeping all three clones at maximum efficiency demands unwavering mental strength.

[Note: The host can only use this ability once every 30 days, and it will last for only 5 minutes.]

'This is a waste; why would I wait 30 days to use an ability for just 5 minutes?

[Maybe use the ability first before criticizing it]

'Still, no matter how useful this ability is, the cooldown time is too much...

'As a Necromancer, I've got some cool advantages. Perhaps I should start focusing on it more. Who knows, I might catch a break and get some cool abilities...Rasoul chuckled inward.

'Moving on to the next message, I've got many things to tackle and not much time to get it all done, he pondered again.
