Chapter 2: Riya
Upon hearing Aadi's straightforward response, Riya becomes happy and breaks into a light laugh.
"Why did you invite me to such an expensive hotel?" Aadi asks Riya.
"And why haven't you been answering my calls for so many days?" he continues, "Something's going on, causing you to ignore me."
"Calm down," she says, "Give me a chance to speak."
Riya, troubled by Aadi's numerous questions, tries to calm him, but she knows Aadi is troubled for her.
Riya becomes saddened thinking about what she's going to tell Aadi today.
"Aadi..., I...,"
"What happened, Riya?"

.
"Aadi, I have cancer, and I'm going to die in a few days."
"What!" (Loud) 🔊
After processing Riya's words, a somber atmosphere envelops the surroundings. Aadi, after expressing his shock, silently gazes at Riya.
"Are you joking?"
"Yes, you're joking."
"Riya."
"Stop making this kind of joke."
Aadi fails to comprehend what Riya said, and while questioning Riya, he starts calming himself and talking to himself.
"Aadi..."
Seeing Aadi distressed expression, before she could say anything, a waitress, a 20-year-old girl in a white t-shirt and black pants, approaches Riya with a smile.
"Ma'am, sir, what would you like to have?"
Riya looks at the girl and, in front of her, smiles, saying, "We don't want anything right now; you can leave."
"Okay, ma'am."
And she walks away.
Aadi, sitting there, keeps looking at Riya and understands that Riya isn't joking with him.
"How many days do you have left, Riya?"
Riya looks into Aadi's eyes, after which she stands up, holds Aadi's hand, and leads him outside the hotel.
