Chapter 80: Preparations for the Party

Five days later, on some unknown S.H.I.E.L.D. base.

The bodies of several agents were lying on the ground, one of them, whose identification fell out of his clothes, was a senior Level 8 agent.

While the few survivors still held their weapons in a fighting position, but the enemy did not give them the opportunity to fight back, eventually the base was completely taken.

"Commander, I am Ansaka, Aslite and I landed on planet C-53 - ''Earth'', we arrived at the headquarters of the human organization, S.H.I.E.L.D, and found information about Mar-Vell's whereabouts, we await your orders."

"Have we found out where Mar-Vell has been hiding all this time?"

"Yes."

The Kree Soldier responded - "According to the information, she has taken the name Wendy Lawson - and is running a project called "Project Pegasus" on a secret military base." "

"Good."

On the other side of the communicator, Yon-Rogg nodded - "Get back to the ship, let's prepare for the mission."

"Yes!"

After finishing the transmission and the communicator turned off, the soldier, next to Yon-Rogg, spoke directly - "Commander, should we inform Ronan - The Accuser?"

After hearing the question, Yon-Rogg frowned.

The capture of Mar-Vell was a mission that the main factions of the Kree Empire attached great importance to, to the point that both his elite squadron and Ronan's fleet were responsible for capturing the traitor, so he should share these information.

But the crux of the matter is that Yon-Rogg hated Ronan.

He is the commander of the elite Kree squad that serves directly under the Supreme Intelligence, while Ronan, on the other hand, is one of the leaders of the Accuser Corps, two completely different factions in their operating modes.

While your squadron is focused on strategy and infiltration, the Accusers' fleet is completely warmongering - in short, the two are like oil and water!

"...Pass on the information"

However, after frowning for a few minutes, Yon-Rogg finally chose to follow Kree protocols rather than his personal dislike.

"This planet is completely primitive - Mar-Vell probably has no way of escaping, we just need to find her before that brute and his fleet get here."

"Yes!"

Pegasus Project Laboratory, pilot training ground.

"Boom!"

Faced with the energy beam fired by Carol, Asher remained stable, standing in the same place.

"Buzz!"

Just as the energy beam was about to touch him, his body instantly moved, appearing next to Carol.

"Boom!"

His right hand turned into an extremely sharp blade, striking Carol directly, who blocked the blow for a fraction of a second.

"You're too slow."

Asher just laughed, and then gently touched Carol's forehead, who was thrown directly to the ground by a telekinetic pulse.

[Congratulations to the host for defeating Carol Danvers ''Captain Marvel'' and earning 100 system points, the host's Pokémon "Deoxys" gains 40 experience points].

''The experience is becoming less and less''

Hearing the familiar sounds of the system in his ears, Asher's expression remained focused despite the small mental reflection.

In fact, the cooldown period for Victini's "Wish for Victory" had already passed 2 days, in other words, Asher could travel back in time at any time - and because he was close enough to his original point in time, the chances of successfully returning to the correct point in time were very high.

But Asher chose to delay his trip for a few more days, and the reason was right in front of him, Carol Danvers.

In short, he's helping Captain Marvel master her own powers - and of course earning some system points in the process.

From the beginning where a defeat would earn him 1,000 points, to this moment when defeating her would only earn him a symbolic 100 points, Asher has defeated the future strongest heroine on earth countless times.

Of course, the current Carol is far from her peak power - although her energy levels are increasing by the second...

"Hey? Can't you get up?"

Looking at Carol, who fell to the ground and didn't get up for a few seconds, Asher decided to tease her a little.

"No, I'm just thinking a little, I think I might not understand the kind of power You and the Doctor were discussing."

Carol, stood up with a look of disappointment - "I can feel it surging inside me, but... At best, I can only exert half of my strength."

"Maybe if Dr. Lawson continues studying the Cosmic Cube, it will be faster than training me."

Carol was a little depressed, Asher just kept a disguised smile.

He knew that Mar-Vell was researching, but he was not optimistic about the other party's research.

Because although the energy within the cosmic cube be infinite, as seen before and it is necessary to stimulate it first.

Asher himself tried to incite the Space Stone, but facts proved that it was difficult even for him without an artifact like the Infinity Gauntlet.

Otherwise, if he had fully mastered the Space Stone's power, he would have much more easily fought Thanos instead of escaping through time.

As for Wendy Lawson, it is true that although she had knowledge of Kree technology, Asher did not think she would be able to use the cosmic cube to its full potential, mainly due to the limitations she was subject to on earth.

"I don't know who these Skrulls are, much less what these Kree are? Do I feel confused by all this?"

Carol seemed to be holding a lot of things in her heart, to the point that she started complaining to Asher.

Which is pretty reasonable, when you think about it - she's an Earthling who has never come into contact with the dark side of the world and now finds herself stuck in the middle of a war between two alien empires after gaining superpowers, and to complete a One of the people she most respected, she was actually a fugitive traitor from one of those empires.

"I don't deny that."

Asher can understand Carol's thoughts a little.

The current Carol is not Captain Marvel, she has not yet experienced the brutality of the wars that would come her way.

"We're done for today, rest – maybe a cheeseburger will help ease your spirits."

After hearing these words, Victini, who was drowsy in his arms, suddenly woke up and floated around his master - "Tini, tini!"

To eat, the little one even ignores sleep.

Not long after, Carol arrived at the cafeteria where she was greeted by her best friend.

"Carol, it's hard for me to believe that you've become...A kind of Superman or rather Superwoman."

"Actually, I'm not even used to it yet, Maria."

Carol shrugged.

"But it's cool, isn't it? I heard you can even fly, without the help of equipment."

Maria was jealous of that.

"..."

Carol, secretly glanced at Asher, and then scowled at Maria - "If you have to fight a weird alien every day, and he doesn't hold back even a little bit, you end up learning a trick or two quickly."

"I actually held back a lot in training, and I have to say again - I'm not an alien."

Asher took a piece of his burger and sent it into Victini's mouth, casually.

While the three were eating and talking...

"Asher! Carol!"

A panicked voice came from the walkie-talkie in Carol's chest - "My trackers have detected signals from outside Earth."

"It's them... They're coming!"
