Chapter 68: Keep Your Cheap Tears To Yourself

What greeted Calix and Leslie once they stepped inside was desperate cries for help. The yelling came from the man and the woman. Their limbs were bound to one chair each.

"F-forgive us! We didn't mean harm!"

"We're sorry! We promise we won't do this again!"

"Help us!"

Calix narrowed his eyes, staring at the sorry state of Monica and Alex. The perpetrator and her accomplice looked at him, pleading for forgiveness.

The young actress' appearance was disheveled. Her long hair was messy, forming knots and tangles as if she was not an actress who frequently visited hair salons to maintain her appearance.

The young man's bathrobe exposed a large part of his chest. From the faint bruises on his skin, it was obvious he tried struggling against the bodyguards but failed.

"CEO Xu! P-please tell CEO Qin that we're sorry," Monica stuttered with her words. Her composure was long gone, "I didn't mean to do anything to Violet! It's just a prank!"
