Chapter 55: Practiced Waltz

Lucas is a competent partner, and once I've recovered from my own thoughts, I can fully concentrate on the dance. Lucas twirls me away and then pulls me back in, smiling as our bodies touch and we sway together.

It stands to reason that a merchant that hobnobs and rubs elbows with the nobility - potentially even the royalty - would know how to ballroom dance.

It stands less to reason that a rough and tumble mercenary such as myself would know, and so it's ridiculous he even asked me to dance in the first place.
