Chapter 6: A transfer student

When she was at her lowest, that's when Lu Qingfeng saved her. He basked her with his love and gave her gifts and anything that her brothers didn't give her.

Before she knew it, she started depending on Lu Qingfeng.

A year from now, Xia Meizhin will go abroad and return 4 or 5 years later. But when she returned, Lu Qingfeng already had a girl she liked. And it was Ji Chiran.

The protagonist, Ji Chiran, was a B-list actress; despite being in the entertainment industry for 3 years, she was still innocent and naive. She could charm everyone with her innocent personality.

That's when Xia Meizhin started going against Ji Chiran in everything; she started sabotaging her acting career and even paid someone to kill her.

Lu Qingfeng, who found out about it, was engaged to Xia Meizhin, whom he treated as his own sister.

Eventually, she met a befitting end for a villain. miserable one at that.

She was sent to a disgusting prison.

Xia Meizhin breathed her last after enduring gruesome torture.

Three days after Xia Meizhin entered the prison, the news about her death made headlines.

There was not a single piece of skin on her body that was intact. Her face was full of blisters from poisonous bugs, so no one could make out her appearance at all, and her fingers and toes were all broken. She died an extremely miserable death.

There were also rumors that she wrote a letter on the wall of the prison made of her own blood. She wanted to make the people who caused death... pay this debt with blood.

...

The heroine, Ji Chiran, was crying her heart out; she was blaming herself for Xia Meizhin's death.

"There's no need to be sad," Lu Qingfeng, the male lead, consoled Ji Chiran.

"That greedy Xia Meizhi would not have lived a long life anyway." Lu Qingfeng paused. "She just died a bit sooner than we expected. And a little more painful, so there's no need to be sad."

That's right.

Xia Meizhin was someone who was ill.

Moreover, for the crying female lead, who pitied the villain Ji Chiran's end, Lu Qingfeng tried to console the crying heroine.

...

Mo Yunru gritted her teeth after she finished reading the book.

"What the hell? You're telling me that's just how the male lead's personality is? "

The moment she read those words that the male lead said, she wanted to rip the book apart.

However, she still decided to read it until the end.

"What the hell is this?" She was so angry that she even threw the book.

Mo Yunru was left in complete disbelief.

She got up from her bed, picked up the book, and put it on the table beside her bed. ,

As she tried to calm down from her anger, Mo Yunru decided to take care of her skin first by doing her skincare routine. She began with cleansing her face, then applied toner and serum. Next, she put some eye cream around her eyes and finished by moisturizing her entire face. After thirty minutes of rigorous skincare, she wiped her face with a clean towel, feeling revitalized, and her mood slightly improved.

Mo Yunru finally felt relaxed and at peace after completing her skincare routine, even more so now that she was in bed, ready to sleep. She took a quick glance at the time and saw that it was already past midnight, which immediately made her feel tired. Within a moment, she had fallen asleep and was peacefully sleeping in her bed.

When her alarm rang at 6:40 a.m., Mo Yunru quickly got out of bed and went to take a shower. She immediately headed to the bathroom for a shower. When she stepped under the stream of water, the warmth of the water felt soothing on her skin. After a few minutes of enjoying the shower, she began her hair routine. She styled her hair into a hazel half-up braid.

After finishing her morning shower and taking care of her hair, Mo Yunru went about changing her clothes. She wore a white, short-sleeve polo shirt and high-waisted jeans, as she did not yet have a uniform for her new school. The school allowed white shirts if students did not want to wear a uniform, so she decided to go with this more casual option for the time being.

After changing, Mo Yunru grabbed her backpack and headed downstairs; she then noticed that it was already 7:23 a.m. As she walked through the living room area, she saw that her mother had already left for work. Knowing that there was no time to waste, she quickly ate her breakfast in the dining area while looking out the window. Once she was finished eating, she hurriedly put away the dishes, headed out the door, and went inside the car.

After spending twenty minutes on a car ride, Mo Yunru finally arrived at her new school. As she entered the school, she was greeted with the sight of a large, imposing building and the sound of students in the hallways.

The building looked massive from the outside and even bigger from the inside.

She entered the huge building, head held high.

A wave of noise immediately flooded her ears. It was louder than she had expected inside the building, and she felt the pressure of all these people staring at her.

She stopped in front of a large doorway and paused to take a last look at her reflection in the glass door. She felt a mix of excitement and nervousness, but she kept her composure and kept a bright smile on her face. She knocked on the door, and it cracked open, and there was the principal, with a bright smile on his face.

"Ah, Miss Mo!" he said with a smile. "Come in, come in!" He motioned her in with a wave of his hand. He seemed kind, and he made the introduction less intimidating than she had thought. She felt herself relax a bit.

The dean made a show of introducing her to her new homeroom teacher, who stood up and smiled at her as they shook hands.

"Miss Mo, let me introduce you. Starting today, you will be a student in Class One, and this is the class teacher, Mr. Li Xiao. He's a very good teacher."

He was kind and seemed to want to make this new experience as comfortable for her as possible. He gave her a tour of the school, showing her different places like the library, the theater, and the various groups and clubs that she might be interested in. He had such a friendly and optimistic attitude that it really helped to ease her nerves, and she felt herself relax and start to feel excited for this new school.

After touring her around the main campus, the homeroom teacher then introduced her to her classmates.

The classroom, which was noisy a second ago, quieted down when I entered. The 30 students from Class One all stopped to look at Li Xiao.

Li Xiao cleared his throat. "A new classmate had joined us. Everyone, please give her a round of applause."

"Oohhhh! A pretty transfer student!" someone chimed.

"Quiet!" Li Xiao warned, then he smiled at her.

"Introduce yourself to them."

"Hello, everyone. My name is Mo Yunru. I've been studying and living in Zeran. I just returned to the country recently. I hope to get along with you in the coming days." She spoke clearly and confidently.

The other students in the classroom were curious about the new girl who just arrived, so they all crowded around her seat. They were all surrounding her and talking to her at once. It was a lot to process, and Chi Muih felt overwhelmed by it all. She tried her best to answer all their questions, but it was difficult to keep up with everyone talking at once.

Mo Yunru was currently studying at Yuwen No. 1 High School, a famous public school in the country. It was different from other schools. It had the most advanced teaching equipment, the most comfortable learning environment, and the top teachers. Yuwen No. 1 High School is constantly ranked among the top 5 high schools in the country due to its achievements in the math and science Olympiad competitions.

As Mo Yunru adjusted to her new school, she found herself struggling a bit with the language barrier. Since Chinese wasn't her native language, she found herself having a tough time at times understanding the conversations going on around her. However, she found that it was overall tolerable and manageable. She had been studying Chinese for a few years now and was familiar with a fair amount of the language, so she was able to piece together what was being said. She knew that she would need to keep practicing and improving her language skills to fully adapt to the new environment.

After finally managing to get through a long and boring political science class, it was finally lunch time. The students bid farewell to the political science teacher. It was a moment of relief for Mo Yunru, who had been struggling to keep herself awake throughout the entire class.
