Chapter 82: The Rain & The Kiss

Xiang Ling was expecting a clear sky during the night and was anticipating the view of stars and the moon. Much to her dismay, dark clouds took over the sky as the sun went down the horizon.

"It will rain tonight." She said as she took another disappointed glance at the dark sky.

"Rain can also be as beautiful as the stars and the moon. You just need to be able to enjoy both." Wei Guang spoke from where he was sitting beside her. The two of them were sitting in front of the huge round window in Wei Guang's private chamber.

Xiang Ling turned her gaze toward the man sitting beside her and took a moment to appreciate his perfect side profile. The warm glow of the candles and lantern made him look even softer and warmer than he already was.

"Why did you refuse to Divorce me?" She found herself asking all of a sudden.
