Chapter 6: Ruthless world
A hand moved and a stabbing sound resounded.
Nameless instinctively moved his dagger to an alienoid monster that had just jumped to devour him!
It was jet black, hairless, it emited faint hyena like sounds while looking like an alien. It had six legs, sensory quills near its ears and was the size of a dog.
It had a massive jaw and was just one meter in length yet looked ferocious.
Nameless immediately lifted his sight at the prey he just stabbed in the jaw only to see multiple red eyes shining above him.
Nameless immediately moved!
He jumped and ran, moving his hands and stabbing anything that came even close to him before breaking the wooden door with his bare hands.
Just before getting out however he was bitten in his lower back, he looked back only to see that the alienoid creature had half of its body inside the tree biting him and the later half outside the tree.
The beast could pass through objects!
"Fuck!"
Nameless immediately stabbed it in its skull and jumped from the tree hitting branches, vines, giant flowers and bushes on the way before hitting the ground.
Yet he didn't even take a few steps before he heard thunderouds ear-piercing sounds coming from all around the forest!
He heard shrill screeches, defeaning roars, earsplitting growls, sharp buzzes, piercing howls, loud croaks, ringing sounds, defeaning screams...
Ear-piercing loud beast noises came from all over the forest!
It was a beast tide!
Nameless didn't know but the immortal fetus formation had gathered energy from the divine trees and the terrain for decades if not centuries when it was forming, a huge amount of that energy had been wasted and scattered.
It wasn't just normal energy, it was energy in a very unique form that could be absorbed fast and and almost instantly and only needed a day of digestion to be utilised yet the formation also crippled the divine trees at the same time.
The forest was ruled by the higher level divine trees for countless years, they fed on all strong beings and let weak divine trees and beings live as a renewable form of nourishment.
Yet as the energy from the immortal fetus had dissipated, it was absorbed by beings that were near-breakthrough and were the next meal in line, it could even lift some weak beings to a high enough rank to challenge divine trees!
This wasn't just a beast tide, it was a rebellion!
Nameless didn't know but he had failed!
A huge amount of Heaven and Earth Qi as well as energy from the formation had dissipated near his birthplace. That energy could have been absorbed by him to raise his dantian from a rank 1 dantian to a rank 3 dantian yet he failed. he didn't even know he had a dantian!
His body could have instinctively absorbed that energy yet he didn't at first because he didn't have a rank 2 sea of consciousness to see and feel it.
He didn't reach his birthplace fast enough. He had lost most of the energy needed for him!
The immortal fetus had been extremely weakened even before the fight of the demonic cultivator with the purple willow tree over control of the formation, let alone after the tribulations. By that point immortal fetus had already lost most of its power.
Otherwise it wouldn't have given such low level centers of power yet it was paradoxically only this weakened immortal fetus that could give birth to Nameless.
The only solution would've been for Nameless to rebirth, absorb the energy and Qi in his birthplace and then immediately escape but it was too late now!
All the beasts were rushing there right now, they had just ended the digestion of the energy and were about to start a war over the control of the forest.
As he soon as he heard the beast roars and louds sounds, Nameless climbed the branches of the trees and escaped!
The sounds couldn't render him deaf meaning the beasts were atleast a few hundred kilometers if not a few thousands kilometers away or atleast that's what he theorised.
As he escaped, he kept hearing faint hyenah sounds behind him, the dark alienoid hyenas were still chasing him!
At the same time, ear piercing screeches resounded again and the earth began to tremble!
It seemed as if an intense earthquake was about to happen.
The beasts charged!
Nameless's eyes pierced hundreds of kilometers behind him and he observed some of the charging beasts!
There were hoards of giant alienoid rhinoceroses that had rhinoceros beetles-like horns, multiple eyes and powerful bodies in the 4th rank!
Just one stab from them was enough to render him a cripple only waiting for death.
There were alienoid apes that had vines growing out of their backs!
There were alienoid crocodiles and reptiles that could stand on their feet!
There were bears that had hands that were flexible and could extend and swing from branch to branch like monkeys!
There were insects that had very fast wings, multiple sensors all over their body and specialised in investigation.
The beast tide looked reckless but it was extremely organised.
The beasts seemed to have rallied to rebell and win their independence once and for all.
Nameless had long since stopped looking and had started running faster and faster!
He couldn't know that the giant hoard was even more gigantic that he imagined.
There were horses triple the size he knew in his previous world, some of them breathe and launch fire, some could absorb energy from the earth to fuel their charges, some could pass through trees and obstacles unhindered. They could all breathe from gill-like organs all over their body and could survive even after being decapitated, they were carnivorous with higher ranking ones even having alienoid wings!
There were giant lions that had heat vision and extremely sharp venomous fangs and claws that could attach and glide through the trees and branches with high speed!
There were hawks that could release all types of gas, gas that poisoned, gas that confused, gas that could slow down the nervous system, gas that paralysed, they could even use a special gas to stimulate their nervous system increase all their capabilities!
They were even special type of fungus and mushrooms that exclusively fed on divine trees, the moment they had absorbed enough energy, they immediately began to consume the weaker divine trees.
There were blue alienoid elephants that were even bigger than what Nameless had seen before that could change sizes, sense things and could even think rationally and make plots, as well as send messages to both their specie and others species.
These types of elephants along with alienoid eagles and special types of hawks and multi-colored birds and other types of flying beings were in charge of the strategies, investigations and methods of combat.
There were alienoid buffalos, alienoid hyenah, jackals, koalas, hornets, alienoid monkeys, alienoid locusts, alienoid mooses, alienoid dogs, alienoid lizards and snakes, mouses, owls...
Weird peacocks that could use special technique to increase the power of the beasts in an area of effect and could fly rapidly in between the beasts without taking damage.
They were some coordinators, even what seemed to be dinosaur-like alienoid beings in the back waiting and blending with the dark waiting for the front to defeat the weaker divine trees before they rushed in.
Countless beings of types and sizes were charging and coordinating although not completely perfect but it was as perfect as possible and more than enough to take on divine trees.
This was not just over the main forest Nameless was born in, it was the epicenter but even other beings beyond the foggy ravine, all over the forests were about to follow the charge.
a Massive charge ensued.
Countless smaller beings were annihilated before the charge even began.
The divine trees weren't any weaker than beasts, they had their roots all over the forests. their roots were sharp, poisonous, that could confuse as well as prey on the beings absorbing their energy in the blink of an eye.
Their roots could spread all types of chemicals with all sorts of effects, they could even merge, seperate and alternate between their usage.
Let alone that, they could feel, hear and know the majority of what was going all over their areas of influence with medium ranked divine trees as coordinators. The higher rank trees being in charge and using the other trees as cannon fodder. They could respond efficiently and intelligently.
The moment the charge started, roots stabbed from below the ground stabbing all kinds of alienoid living beings and killing them in one blow yet that wasn't enough at all to stop the momentum of the charge.
Divine trees were extremely powerful yet they had barely recovered and the formation had slowly weakened them for a huge amount of time. It was inevitable that this fight was gonna be bloody and deal a huge blow to the entire ecosystem that ranged for hundreds of thousands of miles all around the perimeter of the immortal fetus.
Nameless had already escaped a few tens of kilometers yet no matter what he did he couldn't shake off the dark alienoid beings. He always kept hearing hyenah-like sounds not far away from him.
