Chapter 27: Chapter 27: The Child

Raven approached the man whose shadow started making movements, appearing behind him. The man still had no idea what was happening behind him.

He only watched the frail-looking boy approaching him.

"Aww, is the kid angry? Do you want to hit me?" The man laughed, finding it funny. "Try it and see if I don't get you kicked out!"

He continued taunting Raven, as if he wanted the boy to hit him.

He didn't know that Raven had refused Atlan's recommendation. He still thought the young boy had accepted the offer, which was bad for his future since he already had a bad relationship with the kid.

He didn't want to risk his future by letting the boy become successful. And he could only think of one way to have Raven lose that recommendation.

"Go back to your seat, Princess. Hitting someone isn't something you can do. Hahaha, you're so weak, you might slip and die before even being able to touch me."

Zephyr has also had enough. He knew what Raven was going to do. And he didn't even try to stop him. He just made sure that the entire coach was empty and the doors couldn't be opened for the time being.

"Count Atlan thought that you were brave enough not to faint. But he didn't know that you weren't brave but a coward who simply froze in fear. I know your kind the best. Then again, it's not your fault. It's the fault of your parents to give birth to a thing like you."

The man continued taunting Raven, feeling that he was close to achieving his goal. However, the moment he was about to speak further, he felt someone close his mouth, as if there was a hand on his mouth.

His shadow had come to life, closing his mouth while forcefully restricting him. The shadow dragged him back to the washroom. The man resisted, but it was useless.

He didn't know who had restricted him. All three people in the coach were in front of him after all.

As the shadow pushed him into the washroom, the man's fear began to escalate. He frantically tried to break free, but the mysterious force was too strong for him.

As he dragged inside the washroom, he finally saw who had restricted him in the mirror. It was a shadow.

Seeing the shadow, he was shocked. However, before he could think clearly, he saw Raven enter the washroom, slowly closing the door behind him.

The man's pupils trembled, having a really bad feeling about this.

....

Ten minutes had passed. Raven stood before the sink and turned on the tap. He placed his pen that had been painted in a beautiful red colour under the water, washing it clean.

The water turned red as it was washed away from the pen, revealing a vibrant shade of silver that had previously been buried in red.

After cleaning the pen, Raven kept it back in his pocket. He walked over the man, who was lying on the ground, unmoving.

By the time Raven stepped out of the washroom, the place had turned completely dark, as if completely covered by the shadow.

When the shadow disappeared, nothing was left behind in that place.

Raven walked back to his seat, not even glancing behind once, his vision still slightly blurry.

As Raven sat down, he could feel that the scenery outside had changed. The train had entered one of the major cities that looked much more majestic than where he came from.

It was as if this city was in a completely different league compared to where he lived previously. It wasn't just the buildings that looked more majestic, but the people here looked strong as well. He could even see a few Mages, practising large scale spells outside.

Once reaching close to the station, the Train started slowing down. However, as the train finally reached the station, Raven saw a very peculiar sight outside which made him convinced of his previous notion.

The entire station was filled with powerful Knights. It was definitely not a normal day.

"Are they here to welcome us?" Zephyr asked, looking at the Knights outside. When the train stopped, he was able to count over fifty Knights outside.

Raven shook his head, his eyes gazing at a particular person in the distance. All the Knights appeared to be accompanying that one person. It was a young boy, who looked to be the same age as him.

Raven wasn't sure about the identity of the person as the young boy was wearing very ordinary clothes, not revealing any royal insignia in his attire.

It was as if the boy was trying to hide his identity and appear like an ordinary person. But all the Knights around him made it impossible not to realise that his identity wasn't simple.

While there were Knights outside, there was Atlan within. And it was clear that all of them were there for the boy.

Raven opened his dairy, writing something in it from the pen that he had just used for something entirely else. After writing, he passed the diary to Zephyr.

"He's Arthur's son." Zephyr read what Raven had written in the diary, getting stunned.

Many people knew that Arthur only had one son. It was a child that he cherished a lot. However, no one had ever seen that child before.

"Uther Pendragon..." Leira muttered, looking at the young boy out the window.

As soon as she gazed at the boy, she felt a heavy killing intent aimed at him, coming from one of the Knights accompanying the boy. It was as if the Knight was warning her, telling her to not even dare look at the boy.

Leira shifted her gaze. "How are you so convinced that it's Uther? I thought no one had seen the boy?"

Raven wrote another line in the diary before passing it on.

"Merlin's Son would already be at that place. And Children of Round Table Members can't afford this kind of treatment either. That only leaves one person... The Child of Arthur."

Zephyr frowned, reading the response. "If that child is here, doesn't that mean Arthur might also...."
