Chapter 5: Holy Monsters

Admon had been operating on the woman he had gently placed on the table for almost 5 hours. He had found almost seven sword fragments inside the woman's abdomen and had managed to remove six of them, he had no idea where these sword fragments came from as he thought she was fighting bears.

Despite all the confusion in his mind, his focus was still on getting the seventh sword fragment out of her abdomen. He had managed to slow her blood flow with a pill to the point where she was no longer in danger, and the surgery went incredibly smoothly.

"Ah...come on!" Admon was dealing with his fatigue on top of the struggle in his own mind. Because of the incredible damage to the woman's internal organs, he had to make a lot of effort because the sword that entered the woman's abdomen was scattered around as if it had exploded.

That's why he was trying to heal the organs on the one hand and trying to remove the last piece of the sword fragment on the other. Normally, he could do this easily, but the last remaining piece was so deep that removing that piece could tear the abdomen completely. He did not want to offer her a certain death.

Admon was so busy and focused on his work that he didn't realise what was going on around him. That was why he did not realise that Nalin and Vered had already left the garden. The two had left the garden to fulfil the order they thought they had received from their master.

-----

Travelling fast through the forest, Nalin and Vered behind her had already reached the place where they had first found the woman.

"Sis...we need to get back to our master, we have to kill his enemies quickly." Vered looked towards her sister Nalin and tried to indicate with seriousness.

"Then let's go." Nalin replied and with that her form began to grow, after only a few seconds she had a coat of fur that was jet black with touches of white in between. The fur, which resembled a starry night, caught Vered's eyes for a second, but with a sudden "come on!" he jumped on top of his sister and hugged her tightly.

At that moment, Nalin started travelling through the forest with an incredible speed. Admon didn't know it, but both Nalin and Vered were incredible creatures. In fact, every living and non-living thing in his garden was incredible.

Nalin herself was a Space Tiger. She was a great holy beast whose species was now extinct, a noble beast that could stand next to holy beasts, namely Dragon, Phoenix and Qilin. Vered was a Space Dragon. His species was extinct, just like Nalin, and was known as the most exalted among dragons. It was so much so that where these two were, every beast had to fall to its knees. That was the main reason why the bears fled after all.

If only Admon knew the truth.

"Big sister, big sister!" Vered suddenly called out, seeming to have a question on his mind.

"Tell me," replied Nalin, who was already bored by Vered every day with asking questions over and over again. In short, she was used to his little brother.

"Our master is incredibly powerful, but he hasn't stepped out of that energy barrier since we were born, nor has he done anything himself since. Why does he send us to destroy someone and not himself do it?" When Vered asked this question, Nalin took a deep breath and then said, "Our master is very powerful as you say, his past must be just as perfect and ancient. We don't really know him, but the fact that we see him as our father means that we will not disobey his orders. He sees us as a normal cat and a snake, but those of us who understand his inner thoughts should not even let him move, if someone has to die, it should be us who kill them."

Neither Nalin nor Vered knew that Admon knew nothing. Of course, Admon was indeed an ancient creature, as Nalin had said. After all, he had died billions of times and been reborn billions of times. He had seen millions of universes destroyed and just as many reborn. That was why he was truly an ancient creature. Yet he was so obsessed with rest that even the destruction of the world on which he now stood could not move him, and he did not even consider himself strong enough to move.

A war Saint like him, a genius of war with billions of lives, would surely have turned the world to ashes with that much power, after all, his power had pierced even the strongest immortals. However, Admon, who thought himself weak because of the mistakes made by the system, was too lazy to test his strength.

In short, Admon really didn't know anything.

"I see....I think I underestimate our master, how stupid of me." Vered, clearly upset, realised his stupidity and made an effort to apologise to his master.

"Yes, your stupidity has reached its limits, brother. You are very lucky because our master doesn't care about your stupidity, if he did we probably wouldn't be having this conversation today." Nalin had clearly said this answer from her heart. Every time they looked at Admon they could recognise the immense power in him, they respected him as much as they feared him. That's why Nalin really thought that Vered could have died by now, after all, in his eyes Admon could always crack another egg and create another monster.

It was a creature of such a high order, of such great power that even death or life no longer existed for it. He could even shake the universe if he wanted to, but rest was his only purpose. There was no need for him to get his hands dirty, and death had no purpose to come after him, after all, did not even death itself serve him?

An absolutely and utterly immovable force was living in that garden, in that house, and going about its life without a care in the world. What could be better than that, right?
