Chapter 43: Riskful Experiment 

"Huff, huff…" Cole wiped at his chin with the sleeve of his worn-out black shirt, not caring if it got dirty or not.

He ignored the gastric juices spread over the ground, some of which had spilled and soiled his skin, the part where his pants were ripped at the foreleg.

"Don't think about that, Cole… Please don't think about that…" He requested of himself out loud, in desperation.

"Instead…" 

Instead– He focused on the tremors spreading throughout the tunnels from the outside. The Wyvern was still after him, ignoring anything or anyone else.

"Why is that reptilian so intently to kill me off…?" Cole whispered a question to particularly no one, his left eye feeling even hazier from the tears that spilled as he puked out the contents of his stomach.
