Chapter 47: Back in Shape

"Just a bad dream," Cole mumbled, his voice raspy against the silence of the dimly lit room. Kalor's concerned gaze softened, lines carving deeper into his weathered face.

He had been constantly healing people since the battle of the Wyvern, and a lot of damage had been caused. Thankfully, his inn had been near the center of the city, where the Wyvern didn't rampage through. Cole had done a great job of keeping him at bay by the gate for the majority of the battle.

"Sounds rough," he rumbled, placing a steaming mug beside Cole's bed. "Nightmares tend to be like that."

Cole took a sip of the herbal concoction, the warmth soothing his parched throat, taking his sweet time to relish the tasty– "Bleh, so bitter!" 

He contorted his expression as he slightly stuck his tongue out, managing to get a chuckle from Kalor.

"Bwahaha, say whatever you want, but that you have to drink."
