"What in the devil's name are you blabbering about, Jasmine? Disgusting designs? That's a load of rubbish! Your creations are nothing but brilliance. I've always harbored a sense of guilt, knowing you deserve to soar among the stars, yet here I am, pulling you down to this minuscule studio of mine. Your great artistic skills can make anyone to their awe. I won't stand for you belittling your own extraordinary talent!" Asher's firm voice echoes in the room as each word he utters is dipped with confidence in the woman before him. His eyes bore into her face in astonishment and disbelief as he couldn't understand how someone like Jasmine could put herself down.

Jasmine's eyes widen in disbelief as her gaze fixates on the serious face of Asher. Every word he uttered carried an undeniable sincerity that echoed in the stillness of the moment, leaving no room for doubt or deception.

She felt happiness deep inside her heart that overrode the bundle of sadness building up. Her lips trembled before she let out a whisper "really?" filled with self-doubt.

"Of course!" Asher's firm voice filled her ears before she could completely let out her words as he got closer and raised both of his hands to her.

Jasmine's face twisted in confusion as she narrowed at him, and before she could ask the next question, he replied with a huge smile on his handsome face, "give me your hand."

She was reticent for a second but placed her hand anyway and looked at him with her eyes filled with confusion and yet curious to know his next move.

"Do you know, Jasmine? This pair of hands is gifted with great artistic skills for design, no matter what you create with these, it will be loved by everyone around the world. I was so mesmerized by your skill to the point, I hired you with one of the highest salaries in the entire design department," Asher's firm voice filled with confidence rang in her ear.

"What?!" She almost shouted at his words. Jasmine had no idea about the salary and thought everyone had the same until now.

"Why did you do that?!" She continues with a sense of guilt and disbelief.

"Because you deserve that, Jasmine. You deserve a lot more than you think," Asher's eyes softened as he got closer, almost near her face while whispering those words in his most affectionate voice.

Jasmine's heart melts as she looked into his soft eyes, still holding both of his hands tightly as she heard those words after a long time. It's been years since someone has ever told her this.

"I thought Mr. Davies gave us some alone time to discuss the project?!" Sebastian's cold voice almost made their blood turn cold.

Jasmine's eyes widen in pure shock and terror as she felt like a cheater again seeing the rage in Sebastian's eyes.

Asher got up like nothing happened and smiled at Sebastian, saying "I was just checking up on my employee, Mr. Donovan."

"Checking up?" He mocks but then smiles at Asher, as he continues "I have decided to give you the project, but the designs are not exactly as we need so I came up with something if you guys agree to that."

"What is that, Mr. Donovan?" Asher asked in confusion but is determined to do anything to get this project.

"I want the designer of the project to work with me for another month to change the details accordingly to our company's standard," Sebastian's demanding voice shook the core of Jasmine.

She thought he might reject their project but his words confused her and yet sent a shiver of fear down her spine.

"No! I am not interested to work with you!" Jasmine straight-up rejected him in the fear of getting herself again tangled with Sebastian.

"Yes, our designer will work with you Mr. Donovan!" Asher interrupts her words and gave him a professional smile.

"But your designer doesn't seem to agree as you do?!" Sebastian's voice filled with arrogance and anger as he stared at Jasmine.

"I can talk with her. Just spare me 5 more minutes of your time," Asher asked as he turned to look at Jasmine.

"No! I will never agree to work with him no matter what you say, Asher!" Jasmine's firm voice echoes in the room, making Asher worry and Sebastian angry.

Asher took a sigh as he grabbed her hand and asked "please come with me" as he took her out of the meeting room and to his room, which is a few steps away.

Sabastian stared at their disappearing figure inside the other room clenching his fist into a ball. He didn't like the way Jasmine and Asher behaves and only proposed that offer to take her away and place her in his presence.

In Asher's office

"You know how hard we worked on this, right, Jasmine?" Asher's voice rang in her ear as soon as they stepped inside the room.

Her face fell as it soon filled with guilt. They have been working a lot harder for this project but seeing Sabastian made everything go blank.

If it is someone else, she could accept without even thinking twice but it is Sabastian. She can't spend another second in his presence.

"Please... I am begging you. This is the only way for us to save ourselves" His voice lowered as he begged Jasmine to consider this offer again.

Jasmine couldn't reject him this time but just thinking about seeing Sabastian turned her blood cold, itching to reject him again.

Her mind playing back and forth with accepting and rejecting the offer but then she took a long breath and calmed herself and then looks at Asher's dejected face.

"I have a few conditions to accept this! Are you okay with that?" Jasmine's firm voice reaches his ear as he looks up to her in hope and nodded his head, saying "whatever you demand, I am ready to fulfill it."
