Chapter 3: Just physical training.
Once we are outside I slow my walking speed. Drawing attention to mass amounts of people including ninja and civilians. Working together to clean the streets. They seem to be joking with each other and trying to make each other laugh.
Seeing this I pull Kakashi with me as I walk to a destroyed area and start to help clean up. I purposely started working near a group of people that was trying to make others laugh.
The group looked at me in worry for a second. Until I showed off my strength by easily picking up a piece of giant rubble. Every time they made conversation or a joke I would bring Kakashi into it. They seemed to notice what I was doing and started trying to lighten Kakashi's mood.
The group was made of 7 people, 4 guys and 3 girls. The girls were all ninja. Genin to be exact. But the guys were just civilians. The funniest out of the group was named Jin. He was the main one making people laugh, the rest were acting kinda like hype men.
"So Kakashi, I have a question." I say to Kakashi mainly to get his attention. We were able to get him to smile. I know because of air pressure. "Hmm what is it?" He said back in a lazy tone. Working to get a teddy bear out of a collapsed wall. "what happened to you?'' As soon as I asked, Kakashi went quiet. It was a minute before he responded. "My sensei just died. I'm the last on my team that's alive."
"I can't say I know how it feels to lose that much. But I can say that the feeling will only expand the more you wallow in it. I'm not saying forget about them. I'm saying distract yourself in a healthy manner until you're emotionally strong enough to deal with them. That's my best advice."
Kakashi just looks thoughtful for a second then asks. "What if I never feel strong enough to take them on?" His tone is quiet. "Well that's when you rely on others." I answer back in an upbeat tone.
Kakashi just goes silent for a while, while Working on auto pilot.
/time skip end of the day.\
After helping clean up the village for a while. We stopped by the marketplace to get food (mainly for Kakashi I told him I didn't want any). After we had gotten food, Kakashi basically forced me to get some. He didn't actually but come on bacon. I'm definitely going to stop by that breakfast place often.
Thinking about bacon made me remember my past life. "I miss my bunny." I mumble which Kakashi heard. "You used to have a bunny?" He asks in mild curiosity. "Yea but I lost it.* technically not lying as it didn't die I just can't find my way back to it. You know because it's in another world. I hope it's doing fine and it's being taken care of. I swear if they hurt it…
Unbeknownst to me I leaked a bit of killing intent. Which made Kakashi drop the bunny topic immediately. "So how did you get so strong?" Kakashi asks me, waking me up from my thoughts. "eh just physical training." I say he just gives me a blank stare. "Sure." His voice was laced with sarcasm. "Anyway, let's head to the hokage tower. I need to sort out my housing situation." I got out quickly to change the topic.
Once we get to the hokage tower. I basically give no fucks about having to wait and just bust up into his office. Once there I see Hiruzen swamped with paperwork. He just gives me a tired stare. "What is it? I'm a little busy." I stare at him in pity then think for a bit. "Doesn't this village have a speciality for physical clones? Why don't you use those to make your work easier?" He looks at me in shock. Then proceeds to thank me profusely.
"I'm such an idiot, how come I didn't think of that?" He said almost like he just won the greatest fight of his life. He makes 3 clones and they get to work. "So what do you need?" He asks his tone a lot brighter. "Somewhere to live if you can provide it. I'm fine with making my own house if you can't." He gives me an appraising stare then nods.
"I have an apartment complex you can live in. The best one is reserved but you can have the one beside it." I nod my brain having already gone through millions of outcomes. Landing on most likely I'm living beside naruto. Why am I? Manipulation. But it's not directed towards me. So I don't care. "Thank you if you can tell me where it is. I'll head there, it's almost night after all." He looks to the window in mild surprise. "That's unnecessary, Kakashi knows where it is. And he will be living beside you. He's your watcher after all."
He said my brain already supplying that he took care of 3 problems with that. I look towards Kakashi who had been silently watching this whole time, nose nestled in a certain book. "Where did you get that book?" I ask exasperated. "It's my distraction." He said answering my unsaid actual question. I just nodded and tell him to lead the way.
We finally arrived at my new apartment. Opening the door I see the keys inside on the table with a note going over the rent details. Basically I can live her for free if I attend the academy. I don't really care so why not.
I stuck the note in my pocket of my almost black pants still having a very dark blue tint. My common black shirts bottom falling back over my pocket entrance due to its length. As was required by the job I had before I died. Shooing Kakashi away after telling him I'll attend the academy. I go to sleep for the first time since entering this world.
(A/n kinda a filler chapter honestly. Just laying out ground work)
