Chapter 40: MORNING GLORY

The morning birds chirped, singing happily at the new dawn. It was a lovely morning filled with the aroma of something nice that wafted to Lily's nose. It was a mixture of waffle and cake, also there was a faint aroma of omelet, making her mouth water as she moved it mindlessly.

Slowly, Lily opened her eyes. The room was not so bright. It was painted all black. The girl looked down at her blanket; it was a darker shade of black. But the wallpaper of the room had an intricate design of lines of gold, adding to the shade of black.

Lily wondered who in this world enjoyed everything about them to be all black, down to his curtains and furniture. It was a really peculiar taste, the girl thought to herself.

She moved the bed cover away from her body; she too was now dressed in a black shirt.
