Chapter 21: Chapter 21 - Date, Part 2 & Roommates
Kaito was enjoying himself with the horror movie while Kaminari was scared as hell, clinging closely to Kaito, Whenever there was a jumpscare Kaminari would tighten his grip on Kaito's arm while Kaito calmly watched the movie
As soon as the movie was over, Kaminari ran out as soon as he got the chance while Kaito calmly got out, following him, They met back up outside
"..are you alright..?"
"Y- Yeah! J- Just- Not- I- I'm not good with horror movies-"
"..sorry.. I should have noticed.."
"No! No! I- I should have just asked-"
Both Kaminari and Kaito started feeling guilty, after a bit Kaminari started laughing
"S- Sorry- Sorry- I- I just feel like an idiot- I guess I'm more of a goof than I thought-"
"..pfft- your not.."
Kaito held Kaminari's hand and they walked off, Going around town and doing whatever they wanted
Kaito was silent, like usual, just listening to Kaminari talk on and on like normal, They ended up at the park where Kaito confessed to Kaminari
"..Baby, I'm curious, What was that?"
Kaito looked at him confused
"That?"
"When you and the others went missing, when you pulled me into that 'sea of consciousness' thing"
"..oh.. well.. I guess I can tell you.. as you know people have consciousness.. it's the physical awareness of a person.. and the 'sea' is the unconscious state.. with my quirk.. being connected to the concept of 'life' I am able to connect my 'consciousness' to others and help them mentally.."
Kaito looked and saw that Kaminari was trying hard to understand what Kaito ment as he sighed
"..think of it this way.. I am able to manipulate blood, allowing me to lower the blood sugar just enough to knock people out.. once were knocked out I am able to connect my 'consciousness' to another person's.. allowing me to help them mentally.. but if the other person doesn't desire any help they have a chance to reject the connection and kick me out.. causing me and them a headache once we awaken.. if you remember you were able to leave normally by walking out of a 'door' well each person's is different.. meaning each 'exit' will be different as well.. is that easier to understand..?"
"I.. guess..? I'm still having a bit of trouble understanding.."
"It's fine if you don't understand it completely.. Even I don't understand how I'm able to do it.. my quirk seems to be much more advanced and mysterious than other water-related quirks.. now.. let's go.. I would like to continue our date"
Kaito pulled Kaminari close and kissed his cheek, making Kaito smile and Kaminari's flustered as they went to a nearby ice cream parlor to get some ice cream
While Kaito wasn't to into sweets so he just ordered vanilla, Kaminari, on the other hand ordered chocolate with sprinkles and strawberry syrup on top
"..were complete opposites.."
"Opposites attract"
Kaminari said proudly, quickly eating the ice cream as he looked at Kaito, who was finishing his ice cream and said
"..Brain Freeze.."
"..pfft- you shouldn't have ate it that fast.. want to go to my place to warm up..?"
Kaminari nodded and Kaito smile, Kaito help Kaminari hand and they appeared in Kaito's room via water portal
They appeared sitting on the bed as Kaminari looked around the room, seeing the framed photos of Kaito and the kids, Kaminari smiled at how cute Kaito can be when he's around the people he cares about
Kaminari went to Kaito and sat on his lap, hugging him
"..mine.." Kaito hugged back, holding Kaminari closely, They stayed like that til someone barged into the room as Kaito and Kaminari turned to look at the door to see Present Mic
Kaminari was shocked to see their teacher while Kaito calmly asked "What do you want, Hizashi-san?"
"I.. I left my clipboard here yesterday.."
"Ah, so while I was getting extra lessons yesterday you left it, I guess it's understandable to want it back, It's over there by my study desk"
Kaito pointed to the clipboard as Mic quickly grabbed the clipboard and left as Kaminari made Kaito look at him and yelled out
"What is Present Mic-sensei here?!"
Kaito tried to look away while Kaminari was trying to make Kaito look at him "Answer me!!"
"..He's my roommate.."
"You're roommate is a teacher?!"
"..2 teachers actually.."
"What do you mean 2 teachers?! Who's the other teacher?!" Kaminari got off of Kaito's lap and ran out the room, going to the kitchen
Kaito stood up and followed him to see Kaminari pointing towards Aizawa and Hizashi, who were now patting and playing with the cats, Twilight and Blueberry
"Your roommates are Aizawa-sensei and Mic-sensei?!" Kaminari grabbed hold on Kaito, who started shaking him vigorously
Kaminari was forced to stop once Aizawa used his scarf on him, wrapping Kaminari up like a mummy Kaito looked at Aizawa who released him
"Kami.. Calm down.. It's not a big deal.." Kaito felt a hand on his shoulder as he looked at Kaminari who took a big breath in and said "How do you survive with him ad your roommate?"
Aizawa immediately used his scarf to choke Kaminari for that rude comment as Hizashi and Kaito tried to stop Aizawa
"..I suggest not making any comments while he's here.. also could you keep this a secret for now Kami..? I'd rather not have any of our classmates start asking how it feels like to live with 2 teachers.. and if you have any questions I'll answer them.."
Kaito said as he picked up Kaminari and carried him back to his room, Aizawa and Hizashi went back to the cats as Aizawa wasn't really calm yet, Hizashi couldn't focus on the cats since he was more scared for his life, He had to be careful to not anger or annoy Aizawa any further
Kaito and Kaminari were now back inside Kaito's room, back to their original position as Kaminari had questions on how Kaito ended up living with the 2, Kaito answered each question honestly, They ended up talking til Aizawa came and told Kaminari to go home since they had class tomorrow, Kaminari said his see you tomorrows to Aizawa and Hizashi as Kaito sent Kaminari home via water portal
