In the seemingly endless darkness,A majestic castle could be seen in the distance constructed of wood and stone.
from the front it looked normal yet if you were to look at from the side it would appear as if the giant castle covered with gates and guard posts would seemingly stretch to infinity
'....where am i?'
As he looked forward at the castle he couldn't help but admire it's beauty so much so that he stretched his arm to approach it but-
'where is my arm?'
As the figure looked around his body it seemed as if all his limbs were chopped away he couldn't feel his body anymore, he couldn't even scream.
'THAT OLD BASTARD HOW DARE HE DECI-'
"Kane? Why the fuck are you here?"
Just as he was about to curse out his fate a blueish figure appeared in front of him he looked real yet..... Why was he transparent? He could see through the old man with his giant unending beard. As he looked clearly he finally recognised who the old man was.
'Old foggy? Since when did you die? Where are we? Why did you grow a be-'
"OH SHUT UP WILL YOU. your mouth is always the same isn't it, It never stays shut? Also I'm not dead I uh we'll yeah I'm technically dead but ... Yeah I'm dead what are you doing here?"
"Old foggy..... Don't tell me... You died while doing it with her?"
"..."
"Did fighting your father damage your brain up? You fucking dumbass I'm alive but I'm not it's complicated. Just tell me why you're here and call me your uncle kid."
'OWW you didn't have to hit me that hard
' the old man flicked my head??? That's even if I have one.
' "he" sent me here. He told me that the portal he created would lead me to another universe speaking of which how can you hear me? I'm not even talking also what happened to my body? I can't feel anything'
"Pfft you're gonna get a good chuckle out of this one" just as the old man said so a mirror appeared in his hand.
'old fogg- I mean uncle... Tell me you're messing with me'
in the mirror a blue orb with a pale blue aura covering it appeared.
"Relax Kane that old man wouldn't do anything without a plan. what happened?"
'fine, so basically after I defeated him in close combat he offered me a chance to revive 'her' after i merge and use the law of life that's scattered across the universes. And after that he opened up a crack in his universe and told me to step in it. And when I woke up I was here'
"Hoh? He sent you to me? The guardian of the soul palace? What does he wan- ohhhhhh wait don't tell me.... Did he say something about an informat coming with you on this journey of yours?" Suddenly the old man's face went from a mixture of confusion to awe to bitterness.
'Yes old fog- I mean uncle how'd you know?'
"This opens up an old wound but after your father created me as his first experiment on creating life. After i awoke the first thing I did was to challenge him and well... i lost horribly. Afterwards he sealed me to this palace saying that your life will serve it's purpose when you have to guide my son. Well looks like his "son" has finally appeared. But Kane, why are you so weak? Your soul is even small enough to fit in my hand."
'i don't know about that uncle but why don't you put that aside and "serve" your purpose in guiding me to another universe. speaking of that what do souls have to do with traveling through universes?'
"Brat you really talk a lot,but I think you're underestimating my powers. If I wasn't sealed here I would have punched a hole through the eye of that father of yours just imagining fighting him again....~ahhhh~ unfortunately he's dead" just as the old man spoke his eyes were filled with bloodlust before he cast a look of dissappintment on Kane.
"Anyways moving on let me give you a look at my home while explaining how we are going to teleport you to another universe." as the old man said so he walked towards the castle.
*crrreeeaaakk*
Just as the old man opened the gate of the door kane's eyes which were full of excitement dimmed down.
'old man did you ever clean this place? How are there cobwebs here? Isn't this a place for souls?'
"I don't know. i thought cobwebs would fit the vibe of my house?. Anyways as I was saying , universe hopping is a trippy subject isn't it? But have you ever thought what would happen if you swapped places with the soul of a person in another universe? You would basically control their bodies regardless of where they are. Now doing this is practically impossible without killing one or not both of the souls buuuuuuuuuutt you have me with you! Your very own "Assistant"

speaking of which why do you have a body while I don't?'
"Pipe down little boy switching souls is a complex process I need time to prepare, and about your question. It's because you're soul it's weak, very weak even a normal soul can manifest a body here you're truly abnormal." The old man walked through the corridors of the palace while talking with the orb in his hand before he arrived infront of a door called 'the soul palace'.
'old man are all those black orbs souls?'the orb thought while looking at all the black balls floating infront him glued to the walls of the palace that seemed to stretch infinetly.
"Hmm? Obviously what else did you expect from the house of someone called the guardian of souls? Anyways these are all the souls that exist in this multiverse as a matter of fact you personally killed 1/6th of the souls here that day.... Well that day was hectic"
"Say brat select a number from 2-6 you already got rid of universe 1 didn't you?"

"Heh. Good starting choice for you kane. Anyways let me choose some souls that are compatible with you."
The old man started blazing through the halls of the palace at a jaw dropping speed so much so that it made the orb in his hand dizzy.
Finally after 20 minutes of running the old man stopped in the air while looking at the orbs floating around him.
"Hmmm a good haul if I do say so myself. I've got 4 souls for you boy select o-"
'the third one'
"You don't even wanna know who these souls belong to boy?" The old man started at the orb with amusement.
'doesn't matter luck is my bitch. Where's the fun in life if everything is always decided at birth?'
"Hmmmmm. No wonder he calls you his real "son" both of you are alike."
"aghhh....anyways let me start the process but before that aren't you curious about the name of which universe you're going to?"
'fine speak. I can't leave everything to luck'
"It's called jujutsu kaisen"
