Chapter 3: The Little Prince
The next day I was awoken by an old woman who spoke a language I couldn't make out.
Sounds Slavic to me, maybe Russian or Polish? considering I can't talk I'm going to have to use simple words that are universally recognized.
"Mama!" I shouted with all my baby might, I'm not proud being an adult and calling a random woman mama but it's for my sake, anyways I got a reaction out of her so it at least wasn't wasted.
"Okh, prosti, dorogoy prints, no ya ne tvoya mat', eta chest' prinadlezhit yeye vysochestvu Ekaterine, a gde ty nauchilsya govorit'?" she replied. I didn't understand what she said but I heard Ekaterine so I'm either part of the Russian, Austrian, or English nobility, what could eliminate the options is the identity of my father, time to try it.
"Dada?", I hated saying that but my life kinda hangs here.
"O bozhe, prints kazhetsya dovol'no umnym i lyubopytnym, nu, tvoy otets - yego vysochestvo Piter, interesno, gde ty vyuchil eti slova", she looked at my with a curious expression on her face as she said that and I don't blame her I would be curious where a baby learned these words, but the most important discovery was the word Piter, that word convinced me which country I'm part of and the role I would play in the future.
My pondering was interrupted by two round objects, they were what many call breasts and this made me remember a fact, during these times no noblewoman would breastfeed their own baby, that task was taken care of by the nanny and well I was a bit embarrassed but I had to surrender under her constant efforts trying to make me suck them.
POV Nanny
Today was an interesting day, I usually breastfeed His Highness early in the morning, but today His Highness decided to try out the new words he learnt from God knows where. His Highness is quite a smart baby and curious too, It seems the future of Russia is going to be bright under his rule.
However, His Highness took quite some effort to feed today, usually he would take to his feeding excitedly but today it constant encouragements from me before he agreed to his feeding.
Okay guys i will release another chapter today simply because this chapter was more lax and tame the next chapter will truly be the meat of the story
