Chapter 6: an encounter

Ken didn't see any problem he smirked in his thought knowing his stomach now felt like a bottomless pit and for a broke person like him this was a good way to eat for free so he accepted the challenge.
The waiter was happy to see that and ran to the back room and wheeled a full roasted boar the size of three cows which caught the eye of the whole inn and with the rich aroma and qi it was radiating even the cultivators were not spared.
The commotion it caused was so great even the drunken people in the bar were staring at the food like it was a naked woman.
The waiter brought the dish in front of Ken and announced with a loud voice "Ladies and gentlemen may I have your attention here as you can see in front of me is a crown boar dish which our customer here will try to finish in 30 minutes.
He accepted this challenge is only 3 qi stone and if he does it he will get to eat it with another free 10-day ticket for a room here."
The people were so riled up after seeing this that the drunkard at the bars started a bet if he could do it or not which quickly became mainstream. The usually quiet street in the entertainment began to change at one corner attracting outsiders with the scent the dish was releasing.
The people gathered like a snowball going downhill and quickly the inn got filled to the brim. While this was going on unassuming woman was sitting at the corner just watching this unfold with a hint of a smile on his face.
Ken didn't catch any of that he was fully focused on the mountain before him and with the waiter's signal. Ken let out his beast known as his stomach which looked like a bottomless abyss.
Ken wolfed the boar meat with such ferocity that it even scared some watchers who betted on him not finishing it but they consoled themselves by saying "he might look like a dog right now but let's see he can keep it up."
But to their despair, Ken got even more savage fitting pieces three times the size of his mouth but after some time he even found his arms to be a hindrance that he went at it with his teeth.
His action added fuel to the storm of fire that was consuming the inn the waiter got scared but he couldn't do anything about it now it was out of his hands to turn to the owner of the inn that was the bartender.
Ken didn't even need the whole 30 minutes but finished the meal with 5 minutes to spare. Ken took his last bite and sat on his chair with a satisfied smile on his face rubbing his stomach.
The people watching this couldn't a word out as their mouths saw a mortal teenage boy who didn't even look to be in his twenties eat food six times his size like it was just another meal and for a second the whole inn went silent amongst them man said
"I just lost this month's salary. Is he even a mortal no man can do what he just did you cheated us of our money!!!"
Following this, all hell broke loose every man who betted against Ken demanded for compensation, and the small minority that won tried to get their money. Amongst this, the only one who was calm was the woman sitting at the corner just watching the chaos ensue.
Ken who was still savoring the taste was jumped by a mob of people. Ken who was usually a cautious guy caught distracted but that didn't deter him after taking some punches and kicks he started to throw his own which was more precise and minimal with a great effect which he learned from the training facility used by assassins.
But Ken had a major flaw in that the transformation of his body wasn't just in his internals but all his being including his muscles and bones which made him a 6 foot 3 thin man who didn't look like he didn't have a sliver of muscle.
The mob did a good punch or two before the bartender shouted "Aeiiiiiii!!! This inn is protected by the Rose gang are you challenging their authority?"
The men knew the gang and immediately stopped making a ruckus and swallowed this bitter L. After all the people settled down the woman at the corner approached Ken's table and said hi.
Ken who was alarmed by his recklessness heard a voice close to him and tried to find the person which made the transition from being alarmed to being scared out of his wits for a split second but tried to focus on the surroundings.
Ken quickly a shadow and followed it to stare at the empty air after some moment a woman materialized. Ken's mind was working on overdrive and tried to quickly figure out who she was which was easy seeing a blue frozen lily emblem on her elegant blue robe.
Everyone whether mortal or cultivator knew this was the emblem of the profound yin sect. the woman invited herself to sit and started to talk like nothing happened.
"You are good for a mortal figuring out my location that fast. You don't seem like a local here where do you come from?"
Ken didn't even register her question as he was lost in thought but quickly pulled back thinking this wasn't the time to think.
Ken didn't have to come up with a story on the spot because he had prepared an answer and modified it a little to answer her subsequent questions
"Miss immortal thanks for the compliment but I am just a traveler who came to this city by chance from mammon city."
