Chapter 43: Chapter 43 Navy Branch

The trials between life and death always make people tougher than before.

Although the gloom of death and pain had not completely dissipated, the residents of Martin Town felt lucky enough.

"Lord White Ghost!" The old town mayor, who was over fifty, walked up from the crowd and said with gratitude, "Thank you very much for your help!"

Adrian casually smiled and said a few words to brush it off.

He had heard similar words many times in the past three months. At first, it was somewhat pleasing, but later, it gradually became mundane.

Casually lifting the head of 'Beast Kado,' Adrian waved his hand to the residents of Martin Town and flew towards the direction of the sea without looking back, quickly reaching the shore.

Two ships were docked at the shore, one was a medium-sized three-masted sailboat flying the black pirate flag; the other was a pure white single-person boat, Adrian's homemade boat.

The pirate ship naturally belonged to the Beast Pirates, and there were some guarding pirates on the ship. However, Adrian, who had come, easily cleared them away.

Thud!

Throwing the head of 'Beast Kado' into a prepared wooden box, Adrian lightly leaped onto the ship, skillfully untied the ropes, lowered the sail, and the ship gradually disappeared on the coastline.

Half a day later.

Adrian sailed to a small island nearest to the Taelan Kingdom, where a Navy base was stationed. During his previous journeys, he had occasionally visited this island and maintained relatively good relations with the residents and the Navy.

Navy Base.

"Captain Flint Hill! Captain Flint Hill..." an excited communication soldier rushed to the office door to report.

Seated behind the office desk at that moment was a man with a cigar in his mouth and a cheerful face. He wore a light orange suit with a red tie, complemented by a white shirt.

Like most high-ranking Navy officers, he had a [Coat of Justice] draped over his back.

He was the Navy Captain - Flint Hill!

"What happened?" he inquired with a smile.

"Yes... White Ghost! White Ghost is here again!" the communication soldier exclaimed.

Shortly after, Flint Hill arrived in the base hall.

"Who is it this time?" the Navy Captain maintained his unchanging gentle smile, "Lord White Ghost?"

"Beast Kado, bounty of 24 million Berries." Adrian placed the wooden box he held on the table along with the bounty poster, gently announcing it.

Flint Hill's smile faded, and he expressed mild surprise, "You took care of Kado?".

The Navy stationed in the the West Blue was not weak in strength, but due to the vast jurisdiction, their overall strength per base was relatively less formidable.

Before, Captain Hill led the Marine base in pursuing Kado. However, the stamina and recovery ability of the Devil Fruit user with an animal-type ability were too strong. Especially the "Honey Badger Fruit" came with astonishing defensive capabilities. After a skirmish, Kado, the wild beast, easily escaped.

Unexpectedly, just a few months later, the wild beast Kado was taken down by the White Ghost in front of them.

One could only say that there are no empty boasts under great reputation!

Opening the wooden box, Hill only glanced at it, confirming that the head indeed belonged to 'Wild Beast Kado.'

"Encountered him by chance," Adrian casually explained.

Hill nodded. In the boundless sea, encountering someone "by chance" may seem like a far-fetched reason, but it was indeed the most common.

"The Marine Headquarters has recently issued an order to all branches worldwide, preparing to expand the navy next year," Hill suddenly asked, "I wonder if Lord White Ghost would be willing to join the navy?"

"Join the navy?" Adrian waved his hand decisively. "I'd rather not. I can't stand too many rules and restrictions."

After a brief pause, Hill continued, "Lord White Ghost—"

"Call me A—" Adrian recalled his experience in the Country of Flowers and changed his tone, "Call me Momoya."

"White Ghost, White Ghost, it sounds a bit too eerie."

Hmm, the next time he meets the beautiful Gion, he can get closer using the identity of Momoya…

"Momoya," Hill went along, "Actually, joining the navy right now could bring you a great opportunity."

"Hmm?" Adrian raised an eyebrow. "Is Lieutenant Hill planning…"

Probably something related to the abuse of authority or corruption. Maybe, quick promotion or even material or sensual…

"No, no, no, I can't offer that kind of 'opportunity,'" Captain Flint repeatedly shook his head, with a bitter smile on his face.

Then he explained seriously, "It's from the Marine Headquarters. The elite training camp for the new year is about to begin. With your talent, if you join the Marines now, you'll definitely have the opportunity to go to the Marine Headquarters for further training!"

"That does sound like a really amazing opportunity..."

Adrian rubbed his chin.

In the year 1490 of the Sea Calendar, the Marines officially established the elite training camp, with the current Admiral "Black Arm Zephyr" serving as the chief instructor. He was responsible for training outstanding Marines selected from the Grand Line to the branches across the four seas, constantly replenishing the Navy with fresh blood.

If he remembers correctly, the three Admiral of the future navy [Akainu], [Kizaru], [Aokiji], the two Vice Admiral [Momousagi], [Chaton], and even more than a dozen elite Commodore and Captain, almost all of them were cultivated by this elite training camp!)

The success rate was simply terrifying!

To be honest, the educational talent of Black Arm Zephyr was truly extraordinary!

At the age of 18, he entered combat for the first time, only to become a corporal at the age of 28 and master the [Six Styles]. In just ten years, he evolved into a Navy Admiral—a genuine monster!

Especially noteworthy is Zephyr's title.

[Black Arm Zephyr], merely describing his mastery of Haki, especially Armament Haki!

[The Unkillable Admiral], only this rule can illustrate Zephyr's true strength and his awe-inspiring combat skills!

To be carefully trained by the Unkillable Admiral is something that countless people on this sea dream of.

In the eyes of Flint Hill, an expression of anticipation is revealed.

Without a doubt, this diligent West Blue Captain is very eager to recruit the legendary West Blue figure [White Ghost] into the Navy!

After all, judging from White Ghost's previous actions, this West Blue legend detests pirates and other criminal forces. Anyone who stands in his way, whether drifting pirates at sea or oppressive gangs, is mercilessly dealt with.

However...

"I refuse!" Adrian

Fire Mountain, puzzled, asked, "Why?"

Adrian remained silent for a moment, then replied with firm conviction, "My heart and my actions are as clear as a mirror. Everything I do is for justice."

The future Navy Vice Admiral instantly showed deep respect.
