Chapter 2: Ch-2 How Did We Get Here?
Aiden never got used the luxury of this house. He looked around while following Sabastian. After walking for some time, they stood in front of a certain door.
*Knock, knock*
"Young lady, I've bought mister Aiden as per your request."
"Let him in and prepare some snacks." Muffled by the door, her voice sounded calm and soothing, a gentle stream of conversation that hinted at a friendly presence on the other side.
Aiden opened the door as Sabastian gestured him and went to bring snacks. In the snug study room, a girl was sitting in a chair with a book in her hands. Her vibrant red hair was put up in a messy bun, she boasts a face adorned with captivating green eyes that sparkle with a hint of sharpness. Her lips, delicately curved, carry a natural allure. She waved her hand, her palm facing the door where Aiden was standing.
"Yo. Why here so late? Did something happen?"
"Well, mom suddenly called me and said 'go to your friends house' so here I am. Why do you look so ugly today?" He went forward as he talked and flicked her forehead.
Ivy tightly held the book in her hand and said..."The fuck did you just say?" She got up and was about to blow Aiden's head but unfortunately someone knocked on the door.
"May I come in? I've prepared the snacks." Sabastian's voice was heard behind the door.
Ivy scoffed and whispered..."Lucky bastard."
She added..."come in."
Sabastian came in and placed the snacks on the table. Meanwhile Aiden was thanking Sabastian with puppy eyes which said 'thank you, my savior.' Sabastian just slightly nodded and smiled. He was used to this. He left after serving snacks and went back.
As they munched on their snacks, Ivy said with her mouth full of chips..."what you gonna do for summer break?"
Aiden just frowned and said, "I don't know. Mom and dad are busy as always. And you. Don't you have any manners? Who eats like that?"
"Manners? Not really?" She simply replied and shoved more chips inside her mouth while reading book with one hand. Aiden sighed and proceeded to read his own book which he bought from home.
Aiden wanted to ask something but then he saw the book Ivy was reading. "Is that a romance novel? Lemme see." Aiden got up and snatched the book out of her hand.
She just smiled and said..."you're gonna regret it. Well, read it out loud. Be my storyteller."
"Huh? Fine." He turned to the page she was reading currently and spoke..."Get on all...fours...open...wi- what the hell are you reading!?" His face was red after seeing the content of the page. He immediately threw the book at Ivy who was dying of laughter.
"Ahahaha....haaa I told you, you'll regret it. Ahahaha." She wiped the tears at the side of eyes caused by laughter.
"..." He just stayed silent while having a bright red face.
"Well, lemme see what you're reading. Huh? What's that?" She pointed at the book which he was reading. He looked at the book. The letters of the pages were transforming into into something like ancient language. The pages started turn on their own very fast.
Aiden went ahead to close the book but it started to suck him in.
"W-what the..." He grabbed Ivy's hand out of reflex. Ivy also started to get sucked into the book. After absorbing both of them the book closed shut. The book's title was 'Heaven's Slave'. It slowly started to vanish away along with all their stuff.
Meanwhile everyone who knew about both of their existence also started to forget them, as if they never truly existed in the first place.
Sabastian who was about to knock on the study room suddenly forgot why he came here. '...why am I here?' he wondered. He was trying to remember something very hard but he couldn't. It was as if an important piece of thing was missing from this house. He went downstairs to complete rest of his duty.

"Ouch!" Ivy winced in pain. She looked around to see what happened. Her eyes widened when she saw the sight in front of her. She was laying on grass. Her surroundings were filled with trees. She felt a heavy weight on her back.
"Get off of me you idiot." She wiggled around. Aiden fell on top of her when they suddenly got absorbed.
"What the hell happened? Where is this place?" He asked as he got up.
"How am I supposed to know? I think my bone is broken because of you." She streched her back.
"This is a forest? What the hell?" He looked around for a while.
"I'm glad it's daytime... you got absorbed into the book and I also got absorbed because of you. Anyways, let's go." She dusted off her clothes.
"Huh? Go where? And why are you so calm?"
"Have you never read novels where they teleport to some fantasy world? I've ready way too many novels like that and my guess is we got teleported too."
"... I've read them but not as many as you. If what you're saying is true then can we go back to our world?" He was thinking even if they go back would things be the way they were?
"Why? Missing mama? Ahaha... Well, I don't know about that but for now... say 'system'."
"Huh? Why?"
"Well, I think you can't see this but..." She looked at the air in front of her. Aiden also looked at where she was looking but could see anything other than trees.
"Just say it. You'll see what I'm talking about." She added and he did say 'system'.
"What is this?" He saw a golden screen in front of him. The screen contained some kind information. He has never seen something like this in his life.

"Haaaah.... This is your status. It'll show your stats and stuff. Thank God, I read such novels. And I'm now fully sure that we're in a fantasy world. It's gonna be so much fun." She explained and he just nodded his head and looked at the information in front of him.

"Hmmm.... What skills you got?"
"I have fire manipulation. What about you?" He asked.
"I got wind. Tsk. You got the better one." She was disappointed about getting Wind Manipulation but she was glad that he at least has a usefull skill that could protect him.
"Uh... If there are skills like this that means there are monsters too right?"
"Of course. But first practice your skills." She ordered as she went to check her status once again.
"But... How do I do that?" Ivy looked at Aiden. To Ivy this question was pretty stupid.
"Just... Just imagine, use your brain for once. Imagine fire in front of your hands or something. Here, look." She closed her eyes and after a while a strong gust wind formed around her hand, dust and leaves mixed with the wind made it easier to detect it.
It formed into a circular shape, then shaped into a sharp curve and went straight towards a tree at a rapid speed. The tree was pretty much unharmed but it left a significant imprint on it.
"Whoa, you made it look so easy." Aiden praised Ivy and she told him to try it with his fire.
"I'll name this wind cutter. Now you try."
"Ok, lemme try." He closed his eyes and raised his hand and imagined a fire forming into a ball shape. He felt a little warm in his palm so he opened his eyes to see a fist-sized fire ball in front his hand.
He thought of shooting it at the same tree Ivy sent flying her wind cutter. The fire ball moved at the same speed as Ivy's wind cutter and it hit the same place as her. The tree was pretty much hollow now and it had burn marks around it.
"Nice. Now make multiple one at a time and make it bigger and shoot it at that until the tree is down." She instructed and Aiden started to imagine three fire balls. This time he successfully made three fire balls and it was much bigger than last time.
He tried many times but he couldn't make more than three fire balls. And the shape of the fire balls was not changing as well.
"Ivy? Why can't I make more than 3 fire balls?" He turned to look at Ivy who was throwing wind cutter at one tree non-stop. The tree was half way cut. She stopped and looked back and said...
"Ask your system. I'm pretty sure it'll give you much more understandable answer than me." She continued her assault on the same tree afterwards.
"Hmm... System. Why can't I make more than 3 fire balls?" A screen appeared in front of him which said...
[That is the limit of level one. Host can only use fire balls in this level and host can call the system in his mind if he ever have anything to ask.]
"How do I level it up?"
