Chapter 25: Chapter 24 : First friend in academy
Coming out of his class, Kai takes Kanna to go out of the academy visiting one of the shops that was selling snacks that he created.
They walked towards the direction of the shop near the academy, and as he walked he remembered the anxiety he felt during the shop's first week of operation.
Because on the first week the shop was open it was quite underwhelming because of how conservative people were in this village but eventually they started to be interested and want to try it because of how unique the snacks were for children.
Even though the shop was only less than a year since it opened, it has become one of the favorite snacks shops among children and young females.
Especially during festival season with how catchy the snacks were, it became a really popular snack to buy.
Initially he only had one shop in the first three months after he was proposing business partners, because even though he had a good relationship with the akimichi clan, they couldn't help him without good reason and needed to do some test runs to see how the market responded to the new snack that he created.
Fortunately, the shop performed well and maintained consistency in the three months since its opening, allowing his shop to get support and expand the shop's market reach.
Arriving in the front of the shop Kai saw quite a lot of children from the academy already inside the shop.
Entering the shop Kai looked at the variety of snacks and the flavor that was available in this shop, and decided to just order the banana milk flavors for himself.
After waiting for a few minutes Kai finally was able to order the crepes.
"Kanna, what flavor do you like?"
"I want a strawberry flavored one."
"Auntie, I want to order one banana milk and one strawberry flavored crepes."
Getting their order, Kai and Kanna agreed to eat it in the park that is located in the front of the academy.
After talking to Kanna for a while Kai's first impression of her was that she had an outgoing personality and really liked to talk about random stuff that was quite rare to come by in this village.
Sitting in the park that is located in front of the academy, he eats the crepes while talking to Kanna about the reason she wanted to become a ninja.
"So your only reason to become a ninja was to be able to spit fire from your mouth like what you see when you're little."
"Don't you think it was cool?"
"You can spit fire from your mouth, you can walk on water and stick to the wall."
"I guess so, but you know that becoming a ninja is really dangerous right?"
Kai asked with concern that there might be something wrong in this girl's head.
"Of course I know, I'm not stupid you know."
Looking at her who seems to be in a bad mood, Kai wanna try to say sorry for what he was saying.
"Sorry if I offend you Kanna"
"Hahaha…, I'm only playing with you Kai."
Then she starts talking about other random stuff and seems to be really not bothered by it, they start talking again until they hear the bell ringing and they go back to their class.
And luckily the teacher started teaching the real stuff so at least he doesn't have to suffer from boredom hearing the will of fire stuff again.
After the classes were finished he said his goodbye to the only friend that he only made for now.
And went straight to his home because he was quite curious about the baby bird that he found in the forest.
Running all the way to his home Kai went straight to his room where he kept the baby bird that he found was.
Looking inside the carton box he sees the baby bird that he found was already awake and eating the banana that he put in.
When he looks closely he seems to be familiar with the shape of the bird, especially the beak part that is quite unique.
If he was not mistaken, it was a parrot, the bird that is well-known for having the ability to mimic sound and have remarkable intelligence in the animal kingdom.
