Chapter 155: Chapter 155: Sirius Black

Half a day earlier.

Murphy was leisurely playing Tetris in a Muggle arcade, while simultaneously using his shared vision with the lightning crows to locate the Aurors, preparing to strike them with a heart-wrenching blow once more.

The crows, having participated in his Animagus ritual, had actually become part of his Animagus form.

This meant the crows were now his symbiotes and avatars.

This was an immensely powerful ability with vast potential for exploration.

However, Murphy generally used them for surveillance or as unmanned drones capable of striking, without attempting any more applications that might impose a greater strain on his body.

In fact, he felt like a glass cannon.

In a full-force battle, he believed he could go toe-to-toe with Dumbledore, perhaps even managing to kill him with a surprise lightning strike.

But, conversely, his body was on the verge of collapse due to the significant flaws brought by his imperfect Animagus transformation.

Unleashing 10,000 damage at full power meant he would also suffer 9,999 points of backlash... It was uncertain if it would kill the enemy, but he was almost sure to die himself.

For now, he could only cautiously use his abilities, hoping the medical experts could come up with a treatment plan for him.

While his mind wandered with these thoughts, his hands didn't stop moving. He had scored the maximum 999999 points in Tetris, breaking the arcade's record, with a crowd of Muggles behind him, mesmerized by his dazzling hand speed and maneuvers.

Suddenly, through the vision of Miss QuackQuack, Murphy spotted an acquaintance.

"Finally found you, Mr. Black."

In fact, Murphy's surveillance through the crows over the past few days wasn't solely for striking at the Aurors.

Another goal was to find Sirius Black, who was in hiding.

Fighting the Aurors in turn-based combat wasn't his style. Once he launched an offensive, he preferred to keep escalating, aiming to take them down directly.

And Sirius was another weight on the scale in his plan to topple Bartemius Crouch.

With serious matters at hand, Murphy ended the game and entered his name on the arcade machine: Anon.

He stood up, immediately receiving applause, "Incredible! Bravo! A true master of Tetris!"

The arcade owner even offered him a bottle of wine, "I'll hang your record up. Are you sure you don't want to leave your real name?"

Murphy smiled, "Mystery is the core of a legend's longevity, isn't it?"

Raising the wine bottle, he toasted, "To the game, to the great Tetris!"

...

While Murphy was playing games and drinking, Sirius Black's situation was dire.

He realized he was being tracked.

And the trackers were the very Dementors he feared most.

With the sudden decrease in Aurors in Diagon Alley, the Dementors became uncontrolled. Fortunately, with fewer people visiting Diagon Alley now, they hadn't caused much trouble.

But for Sirius, the reduction in people meant fewer covers for him.

Hiding had become increasingly difficult.

Leaving Diagon Alley would be the wisest choice, but he couldn't do it.

The traitorous rat was here.

That despicable rat, Peter Pettigrew, was last seen here.

From the moment Sirius learned that Peter was still alive, rage burned constantly in his heart, but even stronger were his remorse and guilt.

His best friend died because of his arrogance and stupidity. He couldn't rest until he avenged him.

He tried tracking Blenco Lloyd, whom he had seen holding the rat in a newspaper. Sirius thought it might be Blenco's pet.

But the old Auror was tough to follow, nearly discovering Sirius several times, and afterwards, he never saw Blenco with the rat again.

Perhaps the rat knew of his escape and fled from Blenco.

Maybe it had gone elsewhere, maybe it was no longer in Diagon Alley.

But in the vast world, where could he start looking for a single rat?

So Sirius stayed, desperately waiting for that slim chance.

However, misfortune favored him before luck did.

While out searching for food, several Dementors spotted him. They seemed to recognize his scent, so they followed closely, even his animal form couldn't shake them off.

During his panicked escape, he was cornered. Nervously, he drew an old wand he had stolen from Knockturn Alley, clumsy but possibly his only lifesaver.

As the Dementors attacked, Sirius tried to recall happy memories and cast the spell.

A thin wisp of silvery smoke shot from the wand tip, unable to form a real Patronus.

He had little happiness left, and the unfamiliar wand didn't help. Achieving this much was already his limit.

The silver glow blocked two Dementors but enraged the others.

Over ten Dementors attacked at once, bypassing the protective light. One came close, opened its foul mouth, and took a deep breath.

Cold, despair, in an instant, Sirius felt as though he was back in Azkaban, trembling with fear, and overwhelming despair made him unable to sustain the Patronus. The barrier shattered.

There was no longer anything between him and death.

The Dementors, seemingly communicating, gathered more and more, each one taking a soul-sucking breath upon arrival.

Without the Aurors' restraint, they showed no mercy, especially to this prisoner who had escaped their watch.

They intended to drain his soul completely, ensuring his utter demise.

Sirius's struggles weakened, his eyes only seeing the countless Dementors dancing like death in the air.

At that moment, he lost even the emotion of fear. His soul froze, his thoughts halted, death was but a step away.

Then, a bolt of lightning struck a Dementor, startling it like a frightened fish darting away.

"I've heard Dementors fear nothing but the Patronus Charm."

"I wonder, can ten billion volts of lightning kill you?"
