"You are right," nodded Lucien, cocking his head to the side as he stared at the other shifter. The doctors and hospital personnel stopped their frantic searching as they turned around to pay attention to the conversation in front of them. "She isn't a wolf."

"Can you hand her over?" asked one of the men in a lab coat as he approached Lucien. We need to make sure that she is fine, and then it will be up to her whether she chooses to leave or not."

"I appreciate that," smiled Lucien. Fuck he was starting to feel a lot like Dominik right now. How did that wolf manage to keep a smile on his face all the frigging time? "But something tells me that if she wanted you to look her over, she would still be lying on that bed right now. The fact that she is not, tells me that she had made her decision."

"So you admit that you have our mate right now," sneered Caleb, his eyes becoming darker as his animal started to take control.
