Chapter 22: CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

The dense forests gave way to rolling hills covered in vibrant green grass and wide open skies. The air grew warmer, carrying with it the scent of wildflowers and the buzz of insects.

Yara took in a deep breath, filling her lungs with the familiar warm breeze. After four weeks of travel by foot, they were finally at the southern border. 

Travelling north with the dragon had been tasking since she was born and raised in the warmer south. 

She wondered if they would pass by her home, the thought wiped the smile off her face as she turned to the dragon who looked up immediately. 

Yara quickly turned away, pretending to be busy with something in her bag. 

The dragon frowned at her back, confusion furrowing his brows. Why did the woman's scent keep changing?
