Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Report on special squad (Filler chapter)
Lizbeth's report.
With the gacha system, there ought to be bad draws. And in GFOO, what you get is purely randomized. You could get the most overpowered unit if you were lucky, or you could get a unit that couldn't do their designated job properly. Those who took the legion class and used the gacha system often discarded the so-called trash units. But not Lud.
Hence a special squad that solely consists of units that cannot do their job properly was formed. Some would say that having the squad was just throwing money away, but since the so-called trash units didn't have nowhere else to go, the special squad existed.
Now we are going through some of the members that are in the special squad.
Dalia Rax.
Race: Earth dragon
Gender: Female
Age: ~500 years

Job title: S-class monster hunter
Appearance: Long gray hair that is often messy or unkempt. Her eye color is mostly gray, but depending on light, can appear brown. Often wears a jacket and shorts, but can change depending on the weather. Has a long and very thick tail that according to her, causes more problems than it's worth to the point where she wants to cut it off on a daily basis.
Info: Dalia's daily routine is to go hunt and at least one pray per day and bring it to the designated spot. Due to her social anxiety, she cannot function in front of other people, so she lives in a hut inside the forest. She likes any form of canine and she has many of them around her home. The choice of the word "canine" is made on purpose.
The canine companions do come and go as they please, but some of them do appear to bring tributes to Dalia when they go out. Dalia believes that the reason for these "tributes" may be because the canines think Dalia as the leader of the pack. The canines may leave for long periods of time, but Dalia herself sees it as them wanting to feel free.
Dalia can spend years without any contact to a person who she can talk to. The only contact she is able to make is through letters. The telepathy that all legion members have is still too much for Dalia.
Other hunters are instructed to avoid hunting on Dalia's territory. But in the case that they do bump into someone fitting Dalia's description, they are instructed to just leave if Dalia herself doesn't attempt to make any communication. More often than not though, Dalia's senses are able to let her avoid other hunters all together, but in the cases where she is taken off guard, Dalia becomes helpless in her attempt to leave the situation, causing more anxiety.
The only person who Dalia can even remotely make comprehensive conversation with face to face contact is Faust Ilumnos. Even then, Faust himself describes the conversation as hard to move smoothly.
Tukta-Tukten-Tak-Taku-Taku (Tuk)
Race: "Laentriusempektenra" (rare species in GFOO) (The use of quotations is due to dispute between the race)
Gender: Male
Age: 15 years
Height: 132cm – 287cm "Varies depending on many factors such as: lighting, moisture, sleep, mood, food, and other.)
Weight: 7kg – 36kg
Unit class: Information oriented
Quirk: "Addiction to working", Social anxiety
Job title: Surveyor
Appearance: Appears to be wearing a modern day black suit and tie. His head is covered by a white cloth that hides his face for most people. He has six hands and nine thin fingers in each of them, making a total of 54 fingers. He doesn't appear to have any hair, but those who are attuned to seeing spirits are often able to see a floaty hair of flagrant colors.
Info: Tuk is a very hard working man who'll keep on surveillance of the city and its surroundings and reports anything noteworthy to either Zenith, Tear or one of their subordinates depending on the matter at hand.
Tuk can, and will if not stopped, continue to work even if he is on the verge of dying. He doesn't care about his health and will work until he dies if not stopped. And while his race has learned how to survive without food, water or rest for long periods of time, there is a limit of how long they can actually do so without serious health risks. This is the reason why Tuk has been put under the special squad and the attention each of their members require. Tuk in question needs someone else to, often forcibly, stop him from working and taking care of himself.
His race prefers darkness, as light causes them discomfort, so Tuk lives in a basement with no windows. When his race is exposed to any form of light or they don't take proper care of themselves, they will shrink in size and mass.
Tuk's race doesn't technically wear any clothes, since they use their powers to make something that appears like one. They are kind of aetherial in nature, but still follow the rules of flesh.
The way Tuk does his job is by using his powers to make one way windows that allow him to look to distant places. He doesn't have to do any preparation to see anything remotely other than wave his hand a little and the window that he wants to see appears. The light that comes out of those windows don't usually cause discomfort to Tuk's race but it is often advised that they shouldn't spend too much time staring at the windows.
Tuk's race tends to be a bit on the reclusive side, but they can live in small communities. Tuk's race is also very unsociable by nature, but can communicate without many problems if need be.
Tuk's race also doesn't have many combat rules, but when they do fight, they make the target faint by over exerting the target's brain power. Tuk's race tends to stay on a vegetarian diet, but due to their favorite food being mushrooms that grow on dead animals, they do every now and then seek out living prey. They don't shy away from growing these mushrooms on humanoid creatures, and they actually like to play little games with them before their target passes out from exerting their brain power.
These games often include trapping the prey in a certain area and lurking in the shadows, slowly making them pass out. Sometimes they even let the prey go if they win the game in some sort of way. Tuk himself hasn't partaken in this kind of behavior, as he keeps himself distracted doing work. That is not to say that Tuk doesn't know the allure of these games.
Megan
Race: Succubus
Gender: Female
Age: 19 years
Height: 169cm

Quirk: Gymnophobia and Germophobia
Job title: Bookkeeper
Appearance: Two curvy horns, a slim tail, dark violet hair and violet eyes. Outfit may vary, but often, if any is visible, the only exposed skin is the face.
Info: Due to her fears, she has a hard time walking around the streets, especially when the weather is warm. The only season when she can go out is in winter and even then it is only when she is feeling up for it. Her job is mainly to keep record of Elysium's financial situation. She does her job fairly well, but due to the issues regarding her fears, she has problems submitting her work to just about anyone.
Finnergantus
Race: Golem
Gender: Undefined
Age: 2 years
Height: 192 cm
Weight: 529 kg
Unit class: Combat oriented
Quirk: Bad uptime
Job title: Linelia's restaurant Mascot
Appearance: Mainly made of stone. Bulky but often described as cute by the owner of the establishment.
Info: Golems need mana to move and since Finnergantus has a low mana pool, they are unable to move much. The operation time that Finnergantus can remain active is roughly about ten minutes before they have to recharge. Without assistance, Finnergantus recharging takes somewhere around three hours before reaching their maximum mana pool.
It appears that most of the people who come to the establishment like Finnergantus and they themselves seem to like the attention, even though they cannot stay awake for long. Even though they have to speak in a monotone voice, Finnergantus tries their best to show that they have a cheerful personality.
Rodigan

Job title: Seamstress at Latlina boutique
Appearance: Often wears fancy dresses and jewelry. Has long blond hair that is tied up neatly and is missing her left eye. If one is attuned on seeing her, her eye appears meek green.
Info: Rodigan fancies herself a seamstress, but due to her ghostly nature, she is often feared by the living. However, when the situation was told to the owner of Latlina boutique, the owner grabbed Rodigan as quickly as she could and smothered her with kindness.
Rodigan is a very shy person, but when she gets to know someone, she can become quite cheerful and daring.
Rodigan's backstory tells that she was of a noble house called Redharshley, but due to her identifying herself as a woman, she was ostracized and later killed by thugs hired by the Redharshley household to "clear their name". Rodigan herself doesn't like violence, so when she turned into a specter, she didn't pursue any sort of vengeance. However, when Faust found out about this, he asked his brother Roland to make an investigation about it and try to get Rodigan some justice. The short of what happened to the Redharshley household was that they no longer were seen as a noble house by their respective kingdom after Roland was done with them.
Jörinstuut Lårntsä
Race: Giant
Gender: Female
Age: 281 years
Height: 371 cm
Weight: 187 kg
Unit class: Support oriented
Quirk: Low stamina, Low mana pool, Prone to illness and Generally clumsy
Job title: Lifter
Appearance: Wears a gothic dress and carries an umbrella fit for her. Her hair is long and black and her eyes are amber colored.
Info: Due to her many shortcomings, her job is mainly to help lift things from one floor to another outside the city walls. She isn't heavily relied upon due to her issue of constantly being sick.
She doesn't like to talk to people and mainly keeps to herself, but she has no problem doing work that is assigned to her. She has mainly given up on doing any complicated work, but when the situation where she is very much needed arises, despite how she presents herself as dignified and uninterested, she is very happy to be needed. According to Roland, she is what they call "Gothic clumsy tsundere".
Jörin has insecurities thanks to her height. Not because she is tall, but because she is too short. Normally, giants are around 6-8 meters tall, so this makes Jörin look like a child to most giants. Thankfully, Jörin is one of the three giants that came to Lutah when the shift happened. Two others were Lurtämies and Mirrasten. However, since both of them are taller than Jörin even though they are younger, Jörin avoids being seen with the two of them so that her height is compared to them.
Zenith Marn
Race: Demon (Reclantur)
Gender: Female
Age: 757 years
Height: 167cm
Weight: 55 kg
Unit class: Support oriented
Quirk: Perfectionist
Job title: Head maid
Appearance: Long ashen hair and white eyes that exude different colors, albeit faintly. Has four horns that are often described to look like a crown. Has nine very slim tails. Wears maid outfit due to her job and is often seen wearing an ornament that mostly covers her eyes.
Info: Head maid Zenith is in charge of the daily activities of the Myriad castle. She is the only maid that is allowed to serve the king of Elysium at all times.
Zenith doesn't allow any small detail to go unnoticed or unattended. This causes some issues with the other maids, who understand that their lord's castle must look its best at all times, but the extent of Zenith's expectations are a little too far fetched for the uninitiated. While Lizbeth's (my) job is to make sure his highness stays safe at all times, she has to keep an eye out for Zenith so that she doesn't push the other maids too far.
Zenith herself was described by Roland as "Super maid". She can do things at amazing speeds and with as amazing detail. She does make sure that she doesn't show her perfectionist side to Faust whenever she is with him, but every so often she slips her usual act.
While Faust is seen as a great being by all of those who serve under him, none revere him as much as Zenith does. It can be argued that Zenith takes her reverence a little too far sometimes, and that is where Lizbeth (I) come in if need be.
Her subspecies (Reclantur) has few special traits that allow her to achieve the extreme feats of perfection. It is said that Reclanturs tend to seek out perfection in one form or another more than any other race in Mundus. Reclanturs have the ability of farsight, which allows them to see things that will happen in the future, have happened in the past, or what is happening far away in extreme detail. This is to say that Reclanturs, while a rare subspecies, tend to make their feats known as individuals.
Other special properties that Reclanturs have are generally more sensitive senses than with other demons, fast reaction speed, the ability to think multiple things at the same time (Zenith can do 9 in total) and that they do not have the ability to taste sour or minty flavors.
The fact that Zenith's tail splits isn't simply due to her being a Reclantur. It has to do with the fact that Zenith is one of the so-called "royal lines" of Reclanturs. The more the tail split, the higher your position was in Reclantur high court. Nine tailed Reclantur was considered as god descending to the race, however Zenith lore doesn't specify how she lived her life before being summoned by gacha.
Since there is no saying where this document will end up, the reason why Zenith belongs to a special squad is confidential only known toFaust, Roland and Lizbeth (me). It is unknown whether or not Mr. Li knows anything about this, but due to his troublesome nature to find out information, this has remained something to not be investigated. So if you are reading this Mr. Li, with no uncertain terms, I hereby send you this message. Fuck you.

SanderTomson Something little different. Mostly wanted to just spur out ideas that I had when I woke up from a dream. So I thought that while I was at it, might as well add some lore to Zenith who was, if I recal correctly, one of the first characters that was introduced. She didn't get any other thing than a name, so I think this should do just fine.
