Chapter 127: Two Men Who Might Be Detectives

Downstairs, Kazuya didn't notice anything. He felt that what he did today was very good. As a nanny, he would have scored at least 99 points. One point would be deducted because he was self-effacing.

He had just finished talking to Yoko on the phone. Originally, he wanted to tell her to stop cooking by herself and send her some delicious food. But she was really super good and didn't want him to work too hard, so she insisted. Kazuya didn't want to force her too much and finally gave up. He just told her to eat nutritiously, preferably with meat and vegetables, and not to save money blindly.

Yoko hung up the phone in the apartment, feeling very happy. She liked the feeling of being valued and cared for. She waved to Toratoro and said with a sweet smile: "Toratoro, come with me to the supermarket. Onisan has told us to eat meat and fresh vegetables, and he will definitely ask about it when he comes back in the evening, so we must be obedient!"

Recently, the family's financial situation had improved, and Kazuya put all the money in her for safekeeping. This move really made her feel extremely stable and she no longer thought about excessive savings. After studying for a while, she found that she was too frugal would make Kazuya feel worried. This was not acceptable. She must be an obedient and good sister!

Meat? Hearing the word, Toratoro immediately rushed out of the bathroom and stood guard next to Yoko, loyal to his death.

Yoko withdrew some money and happily went out to do some shopping. As soon as she opened the door, she found two tall adult men passing by. Her heart suddenly tightened and she quickly closed the door.

But the two adult men had already discovered her. They knocked on the door quickly and said they had something to inquire about with polite tone. Yoko hung up the anti-theft chain, opened the door a crack and looked at the two men warily, "Hello, what can I do for you?"

In order to show that they had no ill intentions, the two men took a step back and showed their hands, looking very kind. One of them squatted down and took out a photo to show her in a friendly manner. He asked gently: "Little sister, we are looking for this person. Does she live in the apartment in front? We just knocked on the door but no one lives there."

Yoko took a look and found that the person in the photo seemed to be her mother when she was seventeen or eighteen years old, full of innocence and smiling brightly. Her heart suddenly tightened slightly.

But her face remained calm, pretending to identify the photo and secretly observing the two people outside the door, judging whether they were good or bad. She replied: "She looks familiar. What are you doing to find her?"

These two men were obviously happy after hearing her words. They might not think they need to disguise in front of a kid. The half-crouching man's face became gentler: "We are not bad people. In fact, we are detectives, the kind of detectives who uphold justice on TV, who are similar to the police. It is also a good thing to find this Ms. Shiraishi. Can you tell us everything you know? Is she married or not? Does she have a child about ten years old? "

After he finished asking, he saw Yoko's hesitant expression, so he took out a thousand-yuan bill from his pocket, placed it on the floor, "I'll buy you candies with this money, okay? Tell uncle."

Yoko looked at the banknotes outside the door and her mind was racing. Why are these people looking for her mother? Why do they care if I am ten years old? Onisan is not here either...

She couldn't figure it out for a moment and was still scared, but she didn't dare to stay silent for too long. After a moment, she stared nervously at the two men outside the door, stretched out a small hand and slowly took the banknotes in from the crack of the door. The two men just smiled and made no move.

Yoko looked at the banknotes and tried to smile sweetly at them, "Thank you, uncle!"

"Can you tell us now?"

"Yes! Aunt Shiraishi used to live in the room at the end of the corridor, but she moved away a long time ago. It seems she got married and moved to Kyushu."

Kyushu? The two men looked at each other and continued to ask warmly: "Is she called Shiraishi Renko? We just heard from passers-by that she seems to have a child. Is her child about ten years old?"

Renko? Isn't my mother's name Yumi?

Yoko was shaken for a moment, but immediately regained her composure. Even though she was more than ten years younger in the photo, it was impossible for her to recognize her mother wrong. She quickly said: "She may be called by this name, and she does have a child. But she's not ten years old, she's a seven-year-old girl and in the same school as me, her name is Nanako."

"Seven years old? Are you sure?"

Yoko nodded repeatedly and said seriously: "Sure, I am ten years old. She is three grades below me and is my junior." Then she looked down at the banknotes in her hand and asked expectantly: "Uncle, can you give me another thousand yen? I used to play with Nanako and I am very familiar with their family. I can tell you everything you want to know."

The man at the door took out another bill and stuffed it into the crack. Yoko happily took it in her hand and tried his best to keep her voice steady: "Thank you, uncle! Aunt Shiraishi seems to be a female publicist, but she met a rich uncle who came here to do business from Kyushu. Later, she went to Kyushu to get married with that uncle and Nanako also went with her. In the past, Aunt Shiraishi often brought men back. She often got drunk and vomited in the corridor, which caused much trouble to everyone. Nanako was also distressed and often complained to me, but there was nothing she could do. She didn't have many friends in school, and the teacher..."

Although Yoko's words were a bit unfocused, she worked very hard to make the two thousand yen spent by them worthwhile. She even told them about the black mole on Shiraishi Nanako's shoulder. They listened silently and carefully, feeling that the information were extremely detailed and could not be made up by just making them up. In the end, they all frowned.

After Yoko finished speaking, less than a third of her face was exposed from the crack, and he asked carefully: "Is there anything else you want to know, uncle?"

The two men ignored her. The squatting one stood up and judged: "She is of the wrong age. Shiraishi Yumi is worthless."

"It's unlucky and was a waste of time. Let's go!" After spending a small amount of two thousand yen, they only eliminated a target. The other man said it was unlucky, but he was not very depressed. It's better than nothing to know. They didn't have much hope anyway.

The two men didn't even thank Yoko and just left talking. One of them said casually: "Should we check with the apartment manager again?"

"There is no need to waste time. Now we are competing with our peers to find that kid. Every minute and second is precious. Let's go directly to another district. There is another target whose address is in that area. Let's ask around... How many women have that bastard had? Are they all over Japan?"

"What else can a prodigal do besides playing with women? He was really living a comfortable life..."

The two men turned down the stairs while talking, and their voices gradually became less audible. Yoko opened the door carefully, stood in the corridor and waited for a while, watching them get into a car, which sprayed black smoke and left.

She was not in the mood to go to the supermarket to buy anything anymore. She quickly went home, closed the door, and took her mobile phone, wondering whether to call Kazuya. She didn't know what the purpose of those two people was. She lied them because she was afraid that they would cause trouble, but she was too young and didn't know whether she was right or not after she lied.

Although the two men were saying softly all the time, it didn't mean that they were good people. Why are they looking for my mother? What do they want to do? When will you come back, Onisan...
