Chapter 2: 2. Forest Walk
As the group started there journey into the forest trio were excited that they might see some display of the activities that happen in the forest at night but they were also scared because as night creeps on them the forest get increasingly more dangerous. The only one who was not scared was Cyrus who just wanted to deliver these children to the school and meet his mentor.
Cyrus is his early days when he awakened his powers was a very temperamental boy and because his power get activated through his mind he could not control them. any emotion could trigger his power. First time his power went out of control was when he was in a accident in which his parent died. Seeing his parent lifeless power brought out his buried power.
thats when he met Ari Jennings The weapon master. He stopped Cyrus's rampage and took him as his apprentice and From him Cyrus learned how to control his emotion and telekinetic power.
After hearing from Anaya that he is coming to meet her , Cyrus decided to meet his mentor and also this way he can ensure that the children can get to school safely.
As they were walking silently in the forest there was an awkward silence between the trio and the one who was leading them. To get through this awkward moment Anaya decides to ask a question on his mind.
Anaya says " sir, how do you..." Cyrus cut's her of and rotates his neck toward her to look at her and tells her " how about you cut this sir business and call Cyrus huh , sound good" with a charming smile. "Ok, Cyrus I was saying how do you know my Grandfather " Anaya says complying with his request.
Cyrus smiles hearing the question and says " Lets just say him and me have very respectable relation and don't think to much about it you will know soon enough when we meet him at you school ".
This made Anaya and other two to contemplate the meaning of his word and surge of curiosity in them. Then Raphael steps ahead and gets close to him asks " Cyrus , what were you doing alone in forest ?"
Cyrus looks at him with a smirk and says" Oh, I come here time to time for relaxation and to get away from my job , That's all". Raphael was about to ask another question but suddenly a specter passed in front of them the same specter whom the trio followed.
Aiden surprised said while pointing to the specter " sir.. sir , that's the specter Raphael followed ". Anaya also agreed with him and Raphael was silent his eyes following the specter. Cyrus saw how Raphael was looking toward the specter like they had some connection he moved toward Raphael but suddenly Raphael turned his steps toward the path into the woods where specter. Despite Cyrus warning he ran but suddenly his advances were stopped and he now stood there dead in his tracks.
Raphael turned to look at Cyrus and he came to senses. he said" what just happed… " Aiden and Anaya explained " you were going to follow the specter ". The trio was puzzled they looked toward Cyrus for answer , but he was looking toward the way specter went.
Cyrus said to the group " come on , you want answer then follow me" then he stared walking , the trio followed behind him and walked into the woods and after few minutes of following they reached a pond in which there is a stone Pedestal right in middle with a skeleton on it.
Anaya and Aiden with questioning look on there face , they looked toward Cyrus who was smiling and then they turned toward Raphael who had a look that he wanted to jump in pond to reach the pedestal As if his life dependent on it.
" the specter is attracted to him " pointing to Raphael Cyrus said. Ayana asking him " why?"
"Specters are a type of ghosts who usually stay on physical plane because of a desire to impart there inheritance with some condition, nobody has much information about them because of there rare appearance" said Cyrus.
" This one is attracted to this one "again pointing toward Raphael.
Now Raphael starts going toward to pond , other to step ahead to stop him but Cyrus stops them says " let him be ".
the specter enter the skeleton while Raphael take his step toward the pond . group follows him closely then they reach the pond. Raphael goes into the pond but to everyone's surprise he stars walking on the water , Aiden tries to follow him but goes straight onto the and gets pulled out by Anaya .
Raphael take his steps toward the pedestal , when get in front of it , a spectral image starts to emerge from the skeleton . the image says " If you are seeing the spectral recording , that mean my specter has found someone who's soul matches closely to mine , oh... First I should introduce myself I am Darho udani . I am a Spiritualist , but I was sea adventurer in my days but because of an unfortunate fight I got stuck in this forest, and never got the chance to deliver my last voyage story and the information of what comes after , so I am offering you my Spiritual training method and my sword that is made with leviathan tooth and dragons fire and all the gold with many more treasure that I had accumulated in my life journey , and in return you find my voyage books and complete the last one" .
spectral image continuous " oh.. and if you accept this offer you will enter in soul contract with time limit of 10 year in which you have to complete the takes".
He gave Raphael a necklace with a green ruby and pitch black chain and said "ah… and I know this can be very big decision for your life because I can't and don't know your what type of life you are leading so you have 30 day to think about the offer after that the the necklace will come back to me".
"If you accept I will tell you the full details, Goodbye" and just like that the spectral image was gone . Now Raphael was very deep in thought, a very rarest of rare thing had happened to him. He was trying to absorb the information that was just suddenly give to him.
On the other hand Cyrus , Anaya and Aiden also saw the spectral image but they could not hear what it was saying . When they tried to go toward the pond and water barrier emerged infront of them. They wanted to ask Cyrus to break the barrier but Cyrus fully understanding what was happening told them " your friend is very lucky, you don't need to worry about him, he getting a gift just wait for some time he'll come back ". Then he turned to his left and went toward a human sized stone , floated and sat on it. Anaya and Aiden both confused hesitantly followed . Cyrus took them into the air and placed them on the stone too . Then they waited ...
