Chapter 99: Found Out

Since the incident in the capital the Kingdom had been less celebratory and more dull. They'd lost their king after all, there was always an inevitable fear when there was a leadership change.

Henry was unknown, therefore nobody was sure the kind of ruler he would be. For all they knew, he could be much worse than his father. He was raised by the same man and ontop of that he witnessed that man die the most gruesome death.

For this reason they were weary of strangers and travellers but they also needed the money. And the man in dark always brought in money for them, at least that's what they chose to call Levi.

He was somewhat a regular for them now despite never having seen his face before. Money will do that to anyone and they needed it to survive so they accepted the stranger.

Scarlet felt a waved of emotions hit her like a ton of bricks. The last time she was here it was her home, with her parents still alive. Something was rising quickly within her.
