Chapter 2: THE HIDDEN PAIN
Seated in his office, the famous Mr Roshi, despite the progress and success is troubled. His life was a mess until he met his friend, Lion. Lion has helped him overcome countless barriers but there is one, only one, he is unable to overcome.
"Mr Roshi, Mr Roshi!" Lion calls him but gets no response. Tears silently fall from Mr. Roshi's eyes but his body is like a statue.
Flash back
"You wouldn't let that bastard son of yours become the heir, will you?" Yelled the first wife to 'king' Michael.
"It is not upon you to decide, Rael."
Michael is super powerful and rich that he was addressed as 'king'
"Why are you being so unfair to me? Aren't you satisfied with bringing that..."
"Mummy, why are you shouting?" The young prince and heir to Michael's businesses, Delta, walks in. Beside him is the son of the second wife to Michael, Roshi. The two boys are adorable and are loved by every servant in the mansion. They always play together as half bothers. Roshi's mother, Benta, also the second wife to Michal is also a blooming flower highly praised by everyone. She got married after her pregnancy was known by Michael six years ago. Eight months later she brought a lovely boy to the world, Roshi, a replica of Michael.
Faced by her son, words fail Rael. She fixes her firm eyes on Roshi, who she hates to the core but dares not do a thing infront of Michael.
Inside her room, Rael comes up with a plan to do away with Roshi and Benta. As the sun rise, Benta and Roshi continuously become a big threat to her and her son. She is afraid that Roshi will take her son's place as the heir someday because of his continuous excellent performance in school despite his young age. She just can't accept that he is clever than Delta, her son. Roshi shows greater potential and always come up with better ways to handle matters than Delta..
"Sir Michael is already showing interest and favour to my young master Roshi" a servant whispers to another as they pass by.
"Yeah, it seems your master will be the heir someday, i wish it were my master Delta. You better be on the good side of younger master Roshi, it might serve you well in the future " another servant responded.
"I definitely will. i can't wait for the kind hearted Benta and mater Roshi to take the lead. No one will mistreat us when that happens " with bright smiles, the servants walk past the living room.
Hearing the gossip, Rael was overpowered by jealousy. 'i can't accept to lose everything! I have to think fast'
Two days later
"aaaah...!" Everyone runs to where the sound comes from.
In the middle of the second Wife's room, a pool of blood is seen. Beside the blood there are two bodies lying lifelessly; Benta and Roshi. The Older wife, Rael enters the room and at the sight of the bodies she lets out a sharp cry.
"What are you waiting for? Hurry and call the ambulance" she shouts. As everyone gets to work, an evil smile appears on Rael's face.
One month later
A weak young boy about 6yrs of of age stands before a dead body. With the help of the iron pillars, he looks at his mother's body, which has been stiched back to place after heartless deep cuts . It has just been a few days after Roshi woke up from a full month in a comma. The doctor said he had been poisoned. Rumours say that Benta poisoned her son and committed suicide, but to Roshi, who knew her mother too well found it absurd.
Her mother was always happy, always cheering him up to do better in school. The image of her full of life mother promising to travel the world with him after he finishes his studies popped in his mind. Roshi's sweet mother kissing him goodnight. A bitter smile curved on his lips 'you can't be gone mother..... You have promises to fulfill....you ca..n't lea....ve...'
