Chapter 2: Arrival (Cross-Over)
Sunny woke up feeling sore all over his body.
'Wait a minute… sore all over my body? What body? Didn't I have a headache?' he thought as he was opened his eyes.
Sunny saw that he was lying on a couch, a super old couch by the way. He was alone in what he presumed to be one of the oldest apartments he ever saw.
But somehow the apartment was neat and clean. Making him think that although the owner of the apartment was poor he still was a decent person.
As Sunny was calming himself, he heard a voice inside his head.
But then a mechanical voice echoed inside his mind.
[Detecting a suitable host system has started installing.]
[Installing System to the host.]
[1%... 3%... 8%... 25%... 99%...]
[Installation successful.]
[Initializing soul bounding to the host.]
[10%]
[40%]
[84%]
[Soul Binding successful]
[Good evening, Host, and congratulations for binding the Business Management System granted by the Universe Laws, according to the karma that you accumulated in your previous life.]
'What? System? Laws? Karma?' he thought.
Sunny was feeling so confused with all the things that were happening successively that it passed around 10 minutes and he still didn't have an answer from the so-called system.
'Let me think through this. First, I have a headache when I was in the Classroom. Second, I woke up and I think I was crossover. Third, I received a system from the Universe Laws, whatever that means, because of the karma that I had? Karma… if I remember well, it is what we receive when we go according to the universe, well that was my definition.' Sunny thought.
[Yes, host. Everything you said is true.]
'What?? You can hear my thoughts?'
[Yes, I am connected to your soul after all.]
'I guess I can accept that…'
Sunny read some system novels before so he had some knowledge of systems but he didn't remember everything.
'System, how did I have karma to be Crossover when I was just a normal person?'
[Host, after your and the owner of this body's souls exchange place the Universe laws applied and both souls get the system. but the system are different. to assist the host into different world. ]
That made his eyes tear up knowing that he would not have to worry about his family. Sunny had to take some time to compose himself with all the emotions he was feeling.
When he was feeling better, Sunny asked the system.
'System, what are the Universe Laws?'
[Host, the Universe Laws are Known as TVA and it $%#%¨%$]
He didn't understand anything so he waited for the system for an explanation why.
[Host, you don't understand because your existence isn't made for knowing this kind of confidential information. But in a simplified explanation the Universe Laws oversee the myriad of universes and govern it]
Sunny somewhat understood what the system said when he stopped and his eyes went wide with a realization.
'Wait a minute… Universe's ? Does that have more than one universe? So, the multiverse is real??' he asked in a hurry.
[Yes, the multiverse is real. The host is in a different universe]
'That means Marvel Universe theory is correct there are multiverse like that in the Doctor Strange 2 and Spiderman No way Home.' he thought.
[Memories of the predecessor available for merging.]
[Do you wish to merge? YES OR NO]
[WARNING! The merging will cause immense pain. Careful to proceed]
'Wow I was so self-absorbed that I forgot that I was in a different body.'
Sunny stood up to look at himself, he saw he was 1,82m tall and very fragile. He was only skin and bones. He had long silver hair that seemed like straw. He searched for a mirror to look at his face and he found it in the corner of the room.
He walked to it, still feeling pain all over his body, and he saw himself, and damn he was horrible. His whole body and face screamed malnutrition.
'I think my predecessor was having a hard life.'
His face was somewhat handsome but the lack of nutrition made him look ugly. He sighed and came to the couch wanting to know how the situation came to this degree.
'System, merge the memories' Sunny said in his head as he braced for the pain.
For a moment he didn't feel anything but suddenly the pain came to his head and it was not anything that he ever felt.
"Aarrrgh-hhhhh ha-hahaaa ha ha haah" he screamed.
He fought the pain for a minute until he passed out.
when he woke up he realize the the pain is subsided and he was left panting for air on the couch.
"Oh my… that was worse than I imagined... But at least I know how the predecessor became so miserable" Sunny signed.
From the memories, he received his name in this life was Alex Carey but which is different from his previous name, Sunny Chaudhary. He was 5 years younger from in his previous life(23yo), 18 years old. And In his previous life he had a family of 4 his mother and father and his little brother but in this life he was an orphan but the difference was that in this life he had a younger sister that was 16yo and her name was Aria Carey.
And a curious fact was that Aria wasn't his blood-related sister, their parents adopted her when she was 4 years old but they loved her even more.
Their parents died four years ago when he was 13 years old.
And since then, He has been working to provide for his sister since the heritage that their parent left wasn't much and they didn't have any close relatives so Alex worked all day.
His predecessor didn't go well in school but still managed to reach the last year of high school.
But today was the last straw for him. He was fired from his job and wasn't paid for the month. When he came back home knowing that his sister would starve, he had a heart attack realizing that.
And it was then that Sunny's and Alex's soul crossed over and occupied each other's body.
Sunny ask system that if he could to send a message to the Alex asking for his family.
'Host, you can send message only one time as Universe laws give you the only chance. Please, ask him to take care of my family and also tell him that I will take care of his little sister.'
Sunny signed as he thought.
'From now own I am Alex Carey. I may not be you but I promise to never let Aria starve and make her live the life of a princess.'
Sunny suddenly felt like the last will of his predecessor left him as he felt relieved that his sister was going to be OK.
Author Note: Guys this is the first time I am writing a novel so be patient a little with me. If you notice a plot hole, Similar to other novel or a grammar mistake, comment and I will try to fix it.
