Chapter 5: Sky-fall Coffee Shop
Alex woke up at 6 am in the morning feeling refreshed and ready to make his plans to work.
Today he is going to buy the Sky-fall Coffee Shop and convert it into an internet Café with a coffee shop and put his business skills to practice.
But, first, Alex went for a run and did some exercise around the neighborhood as he was determined to have a healthier body. After an hour of running and exercising, he came back to the apartment exhausted but happy that he was capable of running and exercising.
He went to the restroom and took a shower after that he prepared breakfast for Aria.
Aria woke up as he finished making breakfast for both of them.
While they were eating, he asked her.
"Are you going out today, sis?"
"Yeah, I am going to the library again with Delia." She said while drinking coffee.
"OK, but be careful outside and come back home early," he said
"Thanks, bro, I will be careful," she said while getting up to go get ready to go library to study.
After he bade farewell to Aria, he started to get ready too, as he also had a busy and important day to fulfill his future plans.
He dressed in his decent clothes and went to a cyber Café to search for his target Sky-fall Coffee shop position.
Alex discovered that the Sky-fall Coffee Shop was located near the state university situated in this city but somehow the business wasn't going well and it was on the verge of closing up.
'That makes my job easier, perhaps I can buy the coffee shop with less than 10k and convert it into two in one Café he said in relief.
He printed the agreement he composed with the knowledge he gained from the Business Management skills and went to the coffee shop.
As he arrived in front of the shop, he observed its surroundings and discovered that it wasn't too bad. There was a decent flow of people.
Alex entered the shop and he saw the interior wasn't the best. He could say it was a horrible combination but if I arranged it here and there, it could become a presentable coffee shop and install some decent computers and gaming consoles for internet surfing then it became a two-in-one Café.
He walked to the reception counter and he greeted the only employee of the shop with a smile.
He saw a blonde-haired girl a little older than him with blue eyes, and she had a captivating smile that instantly caught his attention.
"Good morning! How can I help you?" She said with a smile.
He came back to his senses after hearing her voice and He liked her attitude.
"Good morning! Can I speak with the boss of the shop?" Alex said firmly.
She observed and assessed him, noting that he wore cheap attire, though it appeared well-maintained, leading her to conclude that he wasn't homeless.
She said, "She's at the back. Please wait a moment," as she made her way to the back of the shop to call the boss.
After a while, a chubby-looking woman appeared and looked at him.
"Well, what do you want?" She said arrogantly.
Alex observed her and felt that after acquiring the place, this woman had to leave. The woman didn't look like someone who would make for a pleasant working partner.
"I want to buy the Sky-fall coffee shop," Alex said directly
She looked at Alex suspiciously as if asking if he had the money to buy the coffee shop.
Alex looked at her knowing what She was thinking.
So, he pulled out his old phone opened his bank account, and showed 6k of the 10k that he had.
Alex didn't want her to see how much he had in total.
Her eyes lit up in enthusiasm.
"I offer 4k for the shop," Alex said directly
"I want 7k," She said
"I offer 5k, that's my limit," Alex said firmly.
She looked at Alex with some hesitation as if wanting more money but after seeing that Alex wasn't budging, She accepted his offer.
Alex took the contract and they went to meet a lawyer to make things official. After engaging himself all morning with the contract.
In the afternoon it was official, the Sky-fall Coffee Shop was Alex's.
Alex arrived before the Coffee Shop. It was named Sky-fall Coffee Shop. This was the shop that he'd just bought over to start his life here in this world. He had spent more than half of his savings which he gained from the system to buy it.
Furthermore, the location of the shop wasn't bad too as he could see that it was near the State University.
After the previous owner left. Alex entered the shop and he saw the employee that he had seen in the morning.
She watched everything that happened in the morning and was really surprised that he was going to be her boss. 'But I genuinely hope that he'll be a more capable Boss than the person who couldn't manage to run a successful business' she thought.
Alex walked over so he could talk to her.
"Good morning, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Alex Carey, your new boss. Could you please provide an overview of how the coffee shop operates?" he asked with a warm smile.
"Hello, don't worry about it. My name is Sarah Turner and I work as a barista here, I am the only employee Our business has been slow primarily because the previous boss lacked the knowledge to manage a coffee shop effectively" she said frankly.
Alex looked at her approvingly. She appeared highly skilled and far more than what one might typically expect from a regular barista.
"You said he was inept? How can you know?" Alex questioned.
"I studied at Sky-fall State University for business management, but due to lack of money for tuition fees, I had to leave college before completing my degree. So, I do have some understanding in that area," she explained with a hint of disappointment.
Alex looked at her bewildered. According to the memories he received, the Sky-fall State University was the university situated here in Sky-fall City. It was one of the most prestigious universities in the City. It's a university that typically admits students with high intelligence. So, not being able to complete her studies due to financial constraints, he could truly relate to her situation.
Alex decided while looking at her. She was a pretty girl with blonde hair and purple eyes but he looked at her seeing a gem that could be his helping hand on the path of conquest of the world.
