Chapter 7: Farewell of the Butterfly

Ella was getting ready for the big day, meticulous in every gesture, as if each detail held significance. Her delicate fingers moved over her belongings, carefully folded and prepared for the journey. She couldn't ignore the echoes of jealousy emanating from her cousins, Emma and Elizabeth.

Emma: "Oh, look at her. She really thinks the palace will change her. As if she deserves this chance."

Elizabeth, nodding with a venomous smile, added, "She's going to be a princess, as if that makes her special."

Yet, Ella remained unperturbed, focused on the present and the unfolding future. As she gathered some items from her mother, the two cousins observed with a mix of resentment and curiosity.

Emma: "Relics from your mother? As if that will make you noble."

Ella, lifting her eyes from her belongings, calmly replied, "These memories hold more value to me than you could understand."

Then came the moment of farewell to her uncle. The exchanged glances were farewells laden with untold stories.

Uncle: "Make us proud there, Ella. Be worthy of what you're about to become."

Ella, moved, nodded coldly, "I won't disappoint you, uncle."

Meanwhile, the servant sent by the palace bustled around her, preparing her luggage and ensuring everything was in order for departure.

"Lady Ella, we are ready to leave whenever you are."

Ella, her eyes gleaming, nodded and headed towards the door.

"The carriage is ready to take you to the castle, Lady Ella."

The final moments in the family estate were imbued with tangible emotion. The departure hour approached, and the journey from her modest abode to the majestic royal castle was a symbolic crossing.

The carriage gradually moved away from the family estate, entering a landscape that seemed to have lost its familiarity through Ella's eyes. Green fields and rolling hills passed by, but she was captivated by her thoughts, absorbed in worries and anticipations swirling in her mind.

The journey unfolded in an almost solemn silence, punctuated only by the gentle sound of horse hooves striking the paved road. Ella, seated inside the carriage, navigated between excitement and anxiety. She questioned how her life would unfold in the castle, wondering if she would meet expectations, if she could navigate with ease in this aristocratic world.

Her mind wandered to the prince, with whom she would share this new chapter of her life. Doubts flooded her: would she meet the standards of the court? Would the prince appreciate her company? These questions fueled her apprehension as the castle loomed on the horizon.

The first turrets of the castle appeared on the horizon, majestic and imposing. Ella wondered how she would be welcomed, how she would conduct herself in those grand halls, and if the prince would find her to his liking.

She observed closely through the window, scrutinizing the approaching castle. Doubt and excitement were evident in her eyes.

The carriage passed through the massive gates of the castle, and Ella was greeted by the grandeur and magnificence of the place. Ready to face the unknown, she wondered if she would succeed in capturing the prince's heart in this luxurious and mysterious setting unfolding before her.
