Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Superman Being Pressured to Marry (Edited)

Just as O'Keegan finished speaking, Clark, standing next to Robert, glanced at O'Keegan and his group, causing their hearts to skip a beat.

"Boss, that Clark is not simple. The last time the three of us tried, we didn't even scratch him, and we ended up with sore hands for days..." Ander, intimidated by Clark's gaze, cautiously reminded in a low voice, "What if he finds out we're planning to take Robert's prize money?"

"Hmph! What's there to fear? If he could block our punches last time, we'll just bring weapons next time. Besides, he can't protect Robert all the time!" O'Keegan's eyes flickered with apprehension, quickly replaced by greed, "Let's go. We'll prepare and leave this boring place!"

Despite having had a lively time just the day before, they found the place dull after seeing Robert win the prize money. Unbeknownst to them, after their departure, Clark shook his head in resignation.

Clark didn't continue the conversation with Robert about this matter. Since Robert had assured him he had a way to handle it, there was no need to worry.

As for stopping O'Keegan from targeting Robert, Clark didn't know how to do so without revealing his abilities. After all, Robert would still need to attend school, and Clark couldn't simply kill O'Keegan and his group based on their conversation. That wouldn't fit Clark's character, or else he wouldn't have demonstrated his defense to them.

After the award ceremony, the organizers wanted to discuss something with Robert, but Jonathan declined. He didn't want Robert to have deeper interactions with these people, to avoid drawing attention to anything unusual.

Jonathan felt that Robert's participation in the contest had already made him famous enough. Despite his excessive appetite, he had established himself as an eating champion, so no one would suspect anything unusual about his future displays of eating capacity.

They could even let Robert participate in other eating contests, as there are indeed people in America who take part in such competitions professionally to support their families.

Unaware of Robert's fighting talents, Jonathan optimistically believed that as long as Robert didn't expose his tail, there wouldn't be any significant problems in the future.

Soon, the Kent family happily cashed the check and started their journey home in their old pickup truck. Robert wasn't particularly excited; he even considered having an extra meal upon returning home.

After all, the hamburgers used in the contest, while not unpalatable, were hardly a delicacy, merely mediocre. Moreover, the ten-minute time limit wasn't enough for Robert's appetite.

In fact, during the contest, the number of hamburgers prepared for Robert's table wasn't sufficient. He had to take hamburgers from the neighboring contestant's table to reach the count of 123.

What about the neighboring contestant's objections? He had already given up. The hamburgers weren't his to claim; they belonged to the organizers, so he had no grounds for complaint.

On the way home, Robert meditated as usual. Aside from eating and sleeping, he preferred to spend his time in cultivation and meditation.

If not for knowing the Kents and Clark would disapprove, Robert would have proposed not attending school to focus solely on training.

As for skipping school to train, Robert had considered it, but with a "super" brother like Clark, who had extraordinary senses, Robert figured he'd never successfully play hooky without being caught and brought back, which would be quite embarrassing.

Robert: ╯▂╰

Fortunately, aside from school hours, Robert was free to do as he pleased, especially since regaining his senses. The Kents no longer stopped him from wandering off, though Clark kept a watchful eye on him, which didn't prevent Robert from training.

After all, Robert wanted to know the limits of his new body and whether his extraordinary recovery ability still existed.

Upon returning home, Robert disappeared to presumably hunt, which the Kents didn't mind. Clark admired Robert's passion and persistence in his interests, something he felt he couldn't match at that age.

"Clark, how are things going with Lana? You're not getting any younger, you're already twenty-seven. It's time to find someone!" However, Clark didn't expect to face the most terrifying ordeal upon shifting his focus from Robert: Martha's marriage pressure!

"Mom... I..." Even Superman, as formidable as he is, seemed lost for words when faced with this subject.

"I know, you're special, but you should try to integrate into human society, right? After all, aside from your strength, you don't look any different from normal humans..." Martha shook her head softly.

"Now that Robert has recovered, you don't need to worry as much about him. You should start thinking about your own life. Lana is a nice girl, or rather, all those children you saved back then are nice. They've never spoken ill of you, and even as they've grown, they still appreciate you without the fear they had as children..."

"You and Lana already have a fairytale start, like a prince saving a princess. You should seize this opportunity and not miss out on such a perfect princess!"

Martha was referring to Lana, one of the classmates Clark had saved from a sinking school bus fifteen years ago. Lana was special; she was the only one who stood up for Clark when he was quiet and bullied as a child.

Lana had helped Clark more than once, not knowing his capabilities at the time.

Therefore, in Clark's heart, Lana wasn't just a princess; she was more like the brave knight, or rather, the warrior willing to help the weak.

"Let's see. Once I can better control my abilities and understand my body, I'll consider it..." Clark sighed after a moment's thought.

"Sigh," Martha sighed regretfully, hoping to see grandchildren in her lifetime, but now that seemed a distant dream.
