Chapter 5: Mastering Magic
"Let me go over this again... Jellal most likely let me go due to two reasons. reason number one, the sacrifice needs someone capable of withstanding it. I was the best person to take up the role of a sacrifice.
Second, He couldn't fight me. fighting me would risk the other slaves turning their arms against him, forcing him to search for other slaves whom he would have to teach everything from the grounds up. Instead, it was best to have the current slaves work willingly. plus, since I was the perfect sacrifice, it was best he let me walk free to allow me to grow strong as forcing me there would only have drawbacks." Erza said while looking at me, Jellal was her childhood friend who had turned evil.
"the tower of heaven once completed, he should come searching for me. this would lead to a battle between him and me, to the death. if he wins, I will be used to bring back Zeref to life." Erza said to which I nodded slightly,
"But... what is the tower going to be used for in all of this? Plus isn't bringing the dead back to life super hard? When healing magic is rare, what more such magic? I guess the tower has a huge reason for this, plus one might need a huge power source." I said while Erza thought for some time,
"I have to attack before the tower of heaven is completed," Erza said after taking a deep breath, at her words, I shook my head slightly.
"Rely on others, you have a few years before all of this happens. I will do research into this matter and report back to you. when the time is near, it's best you look towards others for help. you can't risk having Zeref come back to life. Although I'm not much of a fighter, you can rely on me." I said with a smile, Erza looked at me for some time before nodding weakly. her hands wrapped around herself, hugging her armor, seeing this I went on to hug her, shocking Erza.
"This was hard on you... I shouldn't have pushed you as I did. but we are now part of the same guild, I can't just look away." I said softly, at this Erza blinked her eyes nonstop, trying her best to stop herself from crying. But this was hard, my touch eased her to a point where she was going to cry at any moment
"you hug onto your armor, the past has left behind such deep scars... but I have no means to help you heal but through a hug," I said making Erza's tears run down her eyes nonstop. ever since she got out of the tower, she had always worn armor. she feels uncomfortable and insecure when she's not wearing armor, the trauma from that tower hunts her. this armor acts as a means to shield her heart... but at this moment, she felt like something else could act like a shield.
She couldn't help but hug me back, while she cried into my stomach. I didn't do anything and just rubbed her head. Erza only cried for a few minutes before she calmed down. But after, she just hugged me, enjoying my warmth. At some point, the warmth she got from Alex had gone from a feeling of a mother-loving hug to a feeling that made her heart light.
My touch had less effect on Erza for the simple reason she had a strong will. Cana had a strong will of course, but they were different. it was easier for me to warm up into Cana's heart compared to Erza who had armor around her heart,
"T-thank you... Sorry, I got your shirt wet." Erza said with a slight blush seeing my wet shirt, to which I shook my head.
"It's an honor to be the shoulders of a beautiful princess to cry on," I said with a smile, making Erza blush slightly. rubbing her head, something which Erza found herself growing to like greatly, I let her go, leaving her disappointed.
"I just moved in, make yourself a home. I haven't bought food or anything just yet," I said softly, to which Erza looked around for a moment before shaking her head.
"This is a beautiful place, I can't imagine the cost. 200k?" She asked. this was the lowest she would guess for this place, but she was wrong.
"nope, 50k. The landlord was so nice and gave me a place with even beds and stuff. I didn't have to buy anything. She is too kind... I wonder why." I said softly, making Erza freeze slightly.
"A She?" She asked with a slight frown, which I didn't notice as I studied the pen that could write on air. So, I just simply nodded, and for some reason, this left Erza feeling annoyed.
"Oh yeah, I didn't show you around," I said in realization,
"But it's never too late, should I?" I asked to which Erza nodded slightly and went on to follow me as I showed her around. She was quickly stunned by this place's size. 3 bedrooms, with a basement, and an attic. thats not adding the two bathrooms, the living room, and the kitchen.
Although she was stunned by the size of this place, she was even more annoyed as she realized this place could be around 400k a month. no, even 500k a month wouldn't be too far. this place should be 10 times cheaper
Don't get Erza wrong, she wasn't in love with Alex or anything like that. She had a crush on Alex, it was more like how someone would feel uneasy seeing a crush dating someone else. An ace in the heart, but Erza felt uncomfortable as if something that should be hers was being taken.
"You and Cana seemed oddly close, are you two dating?" Erza asked making it look as if she was simply curious. at her words, I thought for a moment, before shrugging.
"Maybe? Maybe not, it's unclear." I said softly, to which Erza just nodded slightly. after that, she said goodbye, but I went on to walk her to the Fairy Tail guild, before returning home, where I sat back to look at the system.
'I need to find someone to give part of my power...' I thought while In deep thought about what to do. Once I give someone my powers, although I will be weakened, I will grow stronger so long as the person to whom I gifted my power grows stronger. I can of course take it back to regain my full power,
Although I had the Demon Lord Magic, One should know I only gained it thanks to the system, or else without the scroll to learn it from, how on earth would I know to train? The system took the magic and helped me gain the knowledge to train in it, I have yet to train
{Cana is perfect for the role of Gluttony. She drinks her problems away... although it's best you give her new problems to drink about if you want her to become best suited for the magic.} the system said, to which I nodded slightly while sitting back.
Erza didn't suit any of the 7 sins, she was humble, strong-willed, and selfless. So, she was the worst person I could give any of the 7 sins... but I wanted her in my harem.
I didn't mind giving Cana problems to drink about, I thought it was reasonable. I wasn't the type to take a step back for the sake of others, why take a loss for others? others should take a loss for me instead,
'System, can I upgrade the Demon Lord Magic?' I asked, to which a screen appeared before me, showing the price for an upgrade. the price for an upgrade was 1,000 Lust points which made my eyebrow raise.
{the cost is low because the host and this magic are almost a perfect match. about 90% match.} the system said making me raise an eyebrow. that was all? but he guessed that it was easier to upgrade the magic, leading to the cost being so low. So, he paid the price.
{Upgrading... magic would up upgraded within 24 hours. the host is recommended to pick his race name before the upgrade is complete.} the system said, making me fall into deep thought about my race
'Okay... let's have my race be a demon lord or something of the kind. we would start with a Demon King, when upgraded it would be a Demon Lord, then Demon Emperor, and so on.' I thought calmly,
{Arrogant... the system approvas of the host race name. An upgrade path has been picked.} The system said while I went on to think for a moment,
'If I upgrade my bloodline, would my ability also upgrade?' I asked while looking at [Sex Empowerment] and the other abilities that I could upgrade.
{They would upgrade with the upgrade of the bloodline. but the host shouldn't ignore upgrading these abilities. this is because as the bloodline abilities are upgraded to the max before the bloodline is upgraded, it would lead to the bloodline abilities reaching their full potential when your bloodline reaches its limits.} the system said, while I rubbed my chin for a moment
pretty much, if I upgraded a bloodline ability to the limit, once the bloodline is upgraded, the bloodline ability should reset but far stronger than if I were to have never upgraded the ability. although this would cost a lot of money, it would help me become the strongest version of myself.
I could upgrade everything but my [Natural Weaponry], so I went on to upgrade [Sex Empowerment] at the cost of 2,500 Lust Points. this gave me [Sex Empowerment v2], and even reset the cooldown count of the ability. Now, I get 2% of my partner stats, while being able to use this ability once every 12 hours.
I didn't upgrade [Enhanced Sex Appeal], this is because its effect would be far greater. Its effect was already good enough for now, but when I came across stronger-willed females, I of course planned to upgrade this ability. I just didn't want it to grow too powerful to the point I couldn't control it.
Sitting back in deep thought, today wasn't bad. in just one day I managed to sleep with Cana, getting me magic, and also learned the basics of magic. I got close to Erza and got her to open up to me about her trauma, she is even developing feelings towards me.
in one day, today brought me a huge harvest. but I should get ready. I should learn to control my Pride Magic, there were 2 spells I wanted to learn. both of course being support spells, Since I planned not to be a fighter, it was best I sit back and help my harem members do the fighting.
But it was a pain, why do I have to train? shouldn't I sit back with the knowledge of the spells already ingrained into my flesh and bones?
{Host, to do that, it would cost you Lust Points depending on the spell. the stronger the spell, the greater the Lust Points. but if you want to instantly know the whole magic, it would be 20% cheaper.
Holy Light: Holy Light is a spell that allows one to create holy light which could heal those the light hits, empower those the caster sees as an ally, and weaken those considered your enemy. the greater the mastery of this spell, the greater the boost of power, but at the same time the greater those you try to empower are compared to you, the less effect this spell would have. Also, this light can be used as an attack to harm those of the dark element. COST- 3,000 Lust Points
Suns Ray: This spell allows one to grow stronger with the time of day, up to the point of Noon where they would be at their peak strength. At that point, they become the sun. just being near the user of this spell would cause the world around them to burn up and melt. Note that once learned, this spell would have a passive effect that can't be turned off. Cost- 3,000 Lust Points
I had 10,000 Lust Points after sleeping with Cana, but I just spent 3,500 Lust Points a moment ago. So, I had enough to learn these 2 spells, which would leave me with only 500 Lust Points. I went on to buy this, and instantly my mind was filled with the knowledge of the two spells.
It felt as if I had mastered the spell all my life, after a moment, I held out my palm. Golden light glowed on my palm, a scene which made me smile slightly.
'System, I'm I still weak to the holy element?' I asked, remembering the moment before I picked the system. the system said something about getting the Incubus bloodline would have a huge weakness towards the holy element.
{Not any longer, your pride magic help remove that flaw.} the system said while I went on to look at the price to fully master Demon Lord Magic... which was a shocking 840,000 Lust Points. I of course instantly ignored the thought of mastering such a thing and instead went on to go to sleep
{By the way host, the celestial spirit you have been thinking about is known as Karen. She would die in two years, I recommend the host charm her soon. that way you can control what type of power she can gain from you.} The system said while I fell into deep thought, Karen was a selfish woman, but it was unclear what sin best suited her.
