It was the same exact as the day before, something he didn't expect.
"The same as yesterday… does it cap at normal or do you have to do something before it increases… Then again, I should probably be happy it's not getting any harder." He sighed seeing that it seemed he would not have to deal with any difficulty spikes not right now at least.
Just like the day before, he got his water and began going through the strenuous training, however, it was more lenient than yesterday allowing him to not go as hard for effectively the same results.

His efforts continued to bore fruit as he looked at his status to see the growth in its glorious glory.
"One step at a time, I guess." He nodded his head, being resolved to continue that way.
From there on, he went to school ready to have another typical school day.
Today was P.E. and well, it was a bit odd to be there after completing the daily quest, but that would not stop Nivril, as he got there for his first time at the school Gym.
"Morning students, today all of you will exercise your body. I know many of you underestimate this class but the importance of maintaining a proper physique can not be understated. So, even if you hate it now. You'll be thanking me in your future." The teacher began by greeting everyone as she stood there looking at them with a rather stern expression.
Various students began complaining and or sighing at her words, disregarding them completely.
"She's one of those… this is gonna be hell…"
"I already hate this stupid useless class, now I have to deal with this…"
"How do still have this class as a senior, I thought that didn't happen."
"Man, how I wish I didn't get out of bed today."
Many comments were made and it soon developed into a conversation among the students in the class.
"Silence!" She commanded, making it all stop then she continued. "As you're all new to me, I'll introduce myself. I'm Brenda, Brenda Roviere, the P.E. Teacher as you can see. We'll be together for your last year in high school and you'll be free after that. So, do the standard and introduce yourselves."
Once her introduction was over, she pointed at the students who began introducing themselves one by one, until it came to Nivril's time, and so he did.
"So, you're the cultivator kid I've been hearing about… then again, you really look like a grown man… I hope you can behave accordingly, cause someone with your condition could get into a lot of trouble for things that shouldn't be a problem." Brenda expressed her concern in a nice way, but her implications were clear to Nivril.
(It's sad that a kid has to live in such a limited way, but such is the nature of life, there are parts of it that must be accepted and then used to your own advantage if possible, that's the right way.
(All in all, I hope he makes it, and from what I read in his report he's an A+ student who could excel in all classes… except P.E., so I wonder how he'll fare here considering his previous average was C.) She thought to herself as she looked at him almost staring into his soul.
Meanwhile, the person in question had thoughts of his own.
(This woman… isn't she looking at me a little too intensely? If I didn't know any better I would think I was a boyfriend or maybe a husband who just cheated on her… that's the kind of stare she's giving me.) Nivril thought to himself as he saw her being all focused on him.
"I know my way around things, thank you." He smiled with no problems as he replied to her.
"Good, let us begin the class!" Brenda clapped her hands and got everyone up so they could start the warm-up.
The class went well, and Nivril actually kept up with it relatively well, doing well enough to be above most of his classmates.
This performance surprised Brenda who expected him to be down there with the people who didn't even try, however, it was quite the opposite.
(He's a pretty good student… I guess he's turning a new leaf now that he has become a cultivator… I have high hopes for him.) Her interest in this young man grew as he broke her preconceived notions of him.
At the end of class, most students were on the ground sweating and such was not the case for Nivril and a few of the more athletic students, some of whom actually trained in sports from a young age.
After that, they went to the lookers and Nivrol did not use the school joint showers, after all, he already had enough attention on him as things stood, so it was best to not let rumors about his micro rod run around.
The rest of the day and classes were fine, as he met a few new male teachers, but nothing remarkable.
As he was going through the school halls, Raylid approached him with his ruffian gang, and they cornered him.
(Not these kids again… I'll deal with you all later, and when I do, you won't just die, no that would be too easy, I'll destroy you, bit by bit. You'll see.) Nivril thought to himself as he looked at them not intimidated by their presence.
"Look at you, all high and mighty now? I know you aren't a full-on cultivator yet, I heard as much from someone who actually knows what they are talking about. So, I'm here to let you know that you can't escape us later. We'll find you, even if you try to run." Raylid declared with a proud smile on his face as he looked at him with full confidence.
This stare-off, continued for a bit until they left him there, and Nivril just continued with his day, though a thought stuck to his mind.
(Someone who knows what they are talking about?… Well, I did hear there was an actual cultivator in this school, but I don't know anything else about them... Are the ruffians working with that person? It's hard to say yet.) Nivril shook his head and decided to go on with his day.
Eventually, the end of the day came, and he made his way home. Using another new route to avoid the ruffians as he didn't believe he could win against the 4 of them as he is now just yet.
Unfortunately for him, as he made his way through another alleyway, they were waiting for him right in his path, the four of them.
(What?… How?… If it was just one of them, I could chop it up to them splitting up, and planting one person per route, but for all of them to be here waiting for me…
(How did they know? Something doesn't add up, and I think it has to do with that so-called Cultivator at school… That or they were just lucky, but there's no way it isn't the prior.) Nivril thought to himself as he looked at them standing there all of them equipped with gloves and more importantly knives.
"It looks like you didn't believe me when I told you we would you. You can't escape us. Now be a good old man and hand over the inheritance Grandpa." Raylid pointed his knife at Nivril.
"You sound like an ungrateful grandson, so, I would rather leave it all to charity, thank you." As he spoke with a confident smile, Nivril took a step forward and immediately dashed the other way running away from this fight, in a strategic retreat.
"Damnit! Caught that old f*ck!" Raylid ordered.
"Stop! I told you we should have made this a trap and flanked him, but you insisted he would be too afraid to run. Now we have to keep away the knives first and then we can chase him." Snaptrap yelled at Raylid clearly frustrated at their boss for this one.
"That little… I'll catch that dead old man, next time!" Raylid punched the wall out of frustration as he once again let Nivril escape right from his hand.
On the other side of things, Nivril quickly reached his dorm room and let himself lie in bed.
"Tomorrow, I probably won't be so lucky… I hope I'm strong enough by then..." He said to himself as another day was coming to an end.
-Day 5/Friday; 5 A.M.-
Another day started with Nivril's alarm going off, and was once again met with a quest notification.

"Hard mode... It sure lives up to the name… if I was not dying before, I'm dying now." Nivril laughed it off before once again getting ready to do it.
Even worse than before, the training was absolute hell and his body begged for mercy, but he didn't give it any, instead going through with every step.
Unlike before, at the start of normal mode where he vomited once, here he let his lunch out 3 whole different times, and passed out twice, something that made him very late for school, but he managed to push through the training.

"While I'm not sure what it represents, however, I'm around 2 times stronger than when I started overall, so it's probably good." Nivril nodded looking at his status screen.

"Then... How strong am I now?" Nivril asked calmly.
[Response. The stats represent different levels of strength all under the same assumed conditions and on average. 1 is a newborn, 2 is a toddler, 3 is a child, 4 is a teen, 5 is a late teen, 6 is a young adult, 7 is a young adult in good condition, 8 is a young adult in excellent condition, 9 is an adult, 10 is an adult in good condition, 11 is an adult in excellent condition.
[From 12 until 20 are different stages of athletic and martial arts training, all of which constitute the mortal realm. However, do not get confused by the classification because there are teens with adult stats or more and vice versa, this classification simply assumes the best turnout for each stage.] The system explained.
"So… I'm around a young adult with a good condition overall?" Nivril asked after calculating his attributes overall.
[Response. Affirmative.] The system confirmed.
"… so, when I started… I was only as strong as a toddler… in terms of strength… I know my body was weak… but… damn…" Nivril could not believe he was that weak at the beginning.
He sighed and decided to move on from it as he was no longer that weak.
"So… around how strong are the ruffians?" Nivril asked out of curiosity.
[Response. Somewhere around 4-6, among the four of them.] The system replied.
"So, they aren't that strong either…" Once that was resolved, Nivril headed out and left for school.
At school, there were still a few whispers about him, but for the most part, it had died out with most people paying him little to no attention.
Today's lessons mostly revolved around science which somehow all had the same teacher for his class. Teacher Estellve, started with the biology lesson today.
"Cultivators like your classmate Nivril are a great example of how the new world contains mysteries science has a hard time keeping up with at all.
"For example, cultivators naturally change their body structure to be as optimal as possible for more and better cultivation. Something no human should be capable of doing, but they can. Just like how Nivril is slowly curing his own body condition." As she was explaining, a question came up and she used Nivril the class cultivator as an example.
(Oh these cultivators! They will certainly be the key to the next era of scientific discoveries… if only I could get some alone time with him… that would help my research so much, after all, it's the only reason I limited myself to being a mere high school teacher.) She thought to herself as she looked at him and then continued her lesson.
In time, the day continued and many more lessons came, a lot of which were with Teacher Estellve, from maths to physics. It was a long day.
When the school day was over, Nivril left to make his way home and once again tried to go through a different route. However, it seemed his fate was sealed as he was once again approached and this time flanked at an alleyway.
(If only my area didn't require me to always pass through some alleyway to get there… this is getting annoying.) Nivril thought to himself as he looked around, ready to fight them off.
"Come on, I won't even bother saying much. Just surrender and give us the inheritance." Raylid looked serious as only he on one side and Snaptrap on that other were holding knives and all of them had gloves on.
This time they were ready to catch him for good.
"Ok, I know when I've lost… just follow me and-" Nivril lifted his arms up, and began speaking only to be interrupted.
"Hell no! You're not going anywhere. If we have to go find it somewhere just put the location on Rufus' phone and tell him what to do and look for. If it's in your house, give him the keys." Snaptrap was the one to answer and completely turned Nivril's idea down.
"Such a tough crowd, well, then I guess we solve this the good old way." Nivril took a poor stance as he had no real training aside from his second life, which he forgot.
"Rufus and Big Sin, get him." Raylid ordered and the two approached Nivril, while Snaptrap and the ruffian's leader himself stood blocking the exit paths with their knives in hand.
As soon as Big Sin and Rufus were close enough, Nivril acted and triple-socked Big Sin in the face, then turned to roundhouse kick Rufus in the stomach.
All of this because, some instincts stuck to his soul from the journey in his second life, even if he's not aware of them.
Unlike before when he could barely do damage, his every move was felt, and both Rufus and Big Sin held the attacked area as they backed away from Nivril, not too accustomed to being the victims or the ones hit, much less as hard as he hit them.
Big Sin was nosebleeding and Rufus was doing his best to hold in the urge to vomit.
"Frikin useless! I have to do everything myself, damnit!" Seeing them clearly fail, Raylid charged in.
"Wait! Don't break the flan-" Snaptrap tried to urge him not to, but it was already too late.
Using Big Sin's big stature as a sort of smokescreen, Nivril hid and full-body rammed onto the big guy, having Raylid be crushed under his goon, as soon as he got close enough.
Taking this chance Nivril hit the run and headed home.
Soon, Big Sin got off Raylid, and he could hit the ground as he cursed Nivril.
"That geriatric musty dirty hopeless hobo! I'll f*ckin get him! I'll get that damned inheritance! Just wait for me a bit longer, I'll do it! For you… for us!" He clenched his fist as he talked to himself.
"F*ck! F*ck! F*ck! What the hell is wrong with you, Raylid?!" Snaptrap yelled at him.
"Wrong with me?! It's not my fault he suddenly learned how to fight! It has to be the inheritance! We have to get it tomorrow or it's over! The freak just keeps getting stronger!" Raylid responded.
"I don't care! You should have listened to me! We had a plan! If you waited he couldn't escape even with his fancy moves! We had knives and an advantage.
"Plus if you didn't insist Big Sin and Rufus stayed empty-handed so they could run after him in case he escaped again, we could have probably done a lot better!" Snaptrap continued to yell.
This caused the now-recovered Big Sin and Rufus to both between the two arguing like children watching their parents go at it.
*Sigh* "… Ok, I get it… I got too hasty… Sorry, next time I'll just listen to your plan, so what do you have in mind?" Raylid sighed and gave in.
"Good, we're gonna do what we should have done from the beginning. Monday will be a good day." Snaptrap smiled as their group began to leave, preparing for the next day.
Meanwhile, back in the dorm room, Nivril was lying in bed.
"Man… What was that? It felt like my body was just moving… it felt so good… so natural… was this part of my second life?… it might be… Whatever the case, by Monday, I'll be more than ready for those fools!" Nivril was confident and let the day end on a high note.

Another day, another quest notification in the morning as the alarm went off. While Nivril changed the weekday alarm to 3 A.M., the weekend alarm stayed the same.

It was still hard mode. So he got to work and began exercising and completing the metas one by one. Taking more pauses and drinking more water than on weekdays essentially taking it easy as there was no need to rush at all.

While he was in the middle of his exercise route his door was knocked on, and this put Nivril on alert immediately as he had no friends right now, as those had stayed in a long past, and the only ones who wanted anything from him were the ruffians, so he first got a knife and his it, then calmly walked to the door while sweating buckets, and wearing only shorts, showing off his whole muscle toned body basically.
Slowly opening the door, Nivril was ready to attack if necessary, while internally complaining about this door which had the door visor old and scratched out, so he could not see who was outside.
On the other side of the door two girls could be found, one with glasses and brown hair at the front and another with silvery hair right behind her.
(There are a lot of pretty girls in this city… its quite the place to live in…) Nivril thought to himself.
"May I help you?" Nivril was confused by their presence at all.
Both girls stopped for a few seconds not expecting a muscular guy to pop up half-naked and had to take some time to process it, before both lightly blushed.
(What's up with this guy?? This is sexual harassment! You can't just walk out on people looking like that!… Whatever! Focus! You came here to give him a piece of your mind! Focus! The abs though... Focus!!!) The girl with glasses had an internal battle.
(What an odd guy… For some reason his bones say he's 18… He looks thirsty though... Is this a technique?) The girl with silvery hair found herself confused looking at him.
"Yes! Very much so! You are being quite noisy and we are trying to focus on studying! An important exam is right around the corner so it would be appreciated if you toned whatever is going on here down." Even though she was blushing a bit, the girl with glasses was very upfront and kept her composure.
"Oh… It's just my exercise routine, I'll be done in about another 2 hours and then you won't hear anything from me." Nivril responded casually.
(Does he think I'm stupid… looking at him… he's probably some kind of gigolo or Playboy... Disgusting!) The girl with glasses concluded all on her own.
"2 hours?! This has already gone on for 2 hours! Nobody exercises from 5 am to 9 am! That makes no sense!" The Girl with glasses replied clearly offended he thought she would fall for such an obvious lie.
"Just know that the noise will stop in two hours. Just take a break from studying. You won't be able to learn anything if you force yourself too much anyway. If nothing else, I'm going back to my exercise, I have a rhythm to maintain." He responded and without waiting closed the door on their faces.
"… Stupid Gigolo… Fine! But if I hear any noise after 2 hours! I'll call the cops!" The Girl with glasses yelled at the door and then turned to her friend. "Let's go, you said you wanted to see this area, right? I think 2 hours is perfect for a girl's tour."
So, they both left hoping to find silence once they returned two hours later.
At the same time, Nivril continued his exercises until the end. Stopping at just under 2 hours.

(What a turnover… But I guess having two cute girls around while I study is better than nothing.) Nivril thought to himself.
"Yeah… why not. I'll see you in about 3 hours, where are we studying?" Nivril asked calmly.
"My dorm room is the one next door, so don't be late!" The Girl with glasses said.
As they left, the silver-haired girl waved goodbye with a warm smile.
"Odd… oh well…" Nivril then closed the door and went back to exercising.
In time, he was finally done.
