Chapter 7: But no one came…

Note: You can skip to ~Who Are You?~ to not read the whole abuse thing. Although it's important to C2's character development it's not needed to enjoy this Fanfic.

[???, ???, ???, ???, ???]
In an abandoned church, C2 could see a very young child, possibly only 3 years old, covered in dirt and dried blood, he could not even tell what color the child's hair was because of how filthy it was. Walking over to the child, he tried to touch them, but his hand just slipped through them, like he didn't exist.
"Please… help me…" The child called out. C2 tried using his abilities, but nothing worked. He couldn't interact with anything he could only watch as the child called out for help.
"Please, mom, dad… I'm sorry I won't do it again. Please… it hurts…" The child cried out. But no one came.
"I promise I won't open my eyes again… just please make it stop hurting… please…" But no one came…
C2 knew he had been here before, yet he had not at the same time. It was a weird feeling. He knew that child, it was him, yet not at the same time. The scene then changed, now he was in a small apartment littered with trash. This time the child had aged a bit and looked to be around 7-8 years old.
"GET AWAY FROM ME DEVIL CHILD!" A balding man said throwing a broken bottle and hitting the child in the leg with it. The bottle impaled itself in the child's leg, yet the child did not scream nor cry, they just stood there.
"YOU RUINED MY LIFE!" The man shouted throwing the child to the ground. The child still didn't do anything and just stared at the man with dead eyes.
"IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU I WOULD STILL HAVE MY JOB!" The man shouted and got on top of the child a started to punch them. Punch after punch the man's hands were full of blood, mostly from the child but also some of his own, but the child still didn't react one bit. Not a flinch, not a scream, nor a single tear, they just kept staring at the man with dead eyes. The scene changed again, but not by a lot. This time lots of Police Officers and Paramedics could be seen inside the apartment, sirens blaring outside, a dance between red and blue constantly, and ever-changing, filled the apartment through the windows.
C2 could see the police and paramedics talking but all he could hear were muffled sounds like what he was hearing wasn't from his own but from the child's perspective who was zoning out, not even registering what was going on around them. The scene changes again, this time he finds himself in a void.
~Who Are You?~
He could somewhat make out a figure in this black void. Looking at it he felt compelled to ask. "Who are you?" To which the figure smiled(?).
"I'm a puzzle, complex yet clear,
Seen in reflections, both far and near.
In thoughts and dreams, I take the lead,
A mystery wrapped in human need.
I'm present in laughter, in moments of strife,
The narrator of your unique life.
Not he, not she, but a word so true,
Who am I in this riddle? It's simply ???" The figure said, after which C2 woke up in a cold sweat. Pushing Cheese-kun out of the way he checked the time on his phone. [05:28] "3 hours till class starts… guess I can go for a walk…" Rising from the bed he put on a pair of loose black pants and a white t-shirt with Cheese-kun on it. (he got it from the Gacha)
Exiting his dorm room he made his way toward the artificial forest since he saw that in the middle of it was a beautiful lake. Sitting down near the lake he contemplated what the figure could mean. Looking down in the water. "Wait… 'Seen in reflections, both far and near.' could that mean… yes the figure was me…" He then let out a chuckle at this realization. Three notifications popped up from his status.

Raising an eyebrow C2 looked at his new gifts and the R.A.C. he had gotten. "Fuck it, no need to think so hard about it." Deciding to just not question it C2 used the R.A.C.

C2 was shocked beyond belief when he saw what he could do with this Noble Phantasm. Taking out his phone he looked at the time again. [07:23] "Guess I'll head back now…" He mutters as he gets up and starts walking back to his dorm.

As much as I didn't want to write the first part of this chapter it was necessary. This was meant to show that although he chose a male version of C.C. as his appearance it affected more than just his appearance. The C.C. before him did not have the same experiences as the cannon C.C. They are two different people even if they have some of the same characteristics.
Btw, what did you think of the Noble Phantasm? I think I made it decent. For the Golden World part when inside it looks like Nero's Aestus Domus Aurea. And for Tarnished World it's like Whore Of Babylons(Beast-Nero) Oblitus Rosae Theatrum. I based the Noble Phantasm on them, sorta, this NP is different I just took some inspiration from Nero.
The NP variations loosely translate to: Imperial Privilege: The Golden World Is Mine, I Make The Rules, and Imperial Privilege: The Tarnished World Is Mine, I Reject God's Rule. I know this technically makes it two NP but I just couldn't help myself.
