(Pov nobody)

("Ughhhhh.....Salem won't be pleased with this.")

Arthur Watts thought, shutting off his scroll with a tired sigh as he exited his laboratory.

What happened?

Well, it turns out he had received a call from Mercury, who informed him that the mission to assassinate and obtain the powers of the maiden had horribly failed.

Not only that, but also...

"Emerald and Cinder dead and Mercury is gone, what a mess... although Cinder's demise was predictable given how naive and stupid she was," he said with a neutral expression.

The mission was supposed to be a success according to Mercury, but a stranger appeared who supposedly had been waiting for them, attacking them by surprise and managing to make the maiden escape safely from the scene.

He and Mercury discussed about the boy and both think he's one of Amber's guards. They knew Qrow worked as her protector, but they didn't know she had another one.

They should have assumed it; it was somewhat obvious that someone as important as Amber wouldn't have just ONE bodyguard.

NOTE, he wasn't saying Qrow was unimportant, as he's one of the strongest hunters at the moment, almost on the same level as the crazy Tyrian.

Meh, back to the point.

Mercury left the group.

When they end talking about what happen in the mission Arthur was gonna send a shop to take Mercury and send it here.

But he refused.

Arthur: "alright, I'll tell Salem about this and send a ship to take you back"

Mercury: "HAHAHA, hell no, if this fire fucker didn't kill me, she will...you know how it went to the last person who worked with her and fail....if I go there I am gonna die, from now on I will disappear, I know she will send people to kill me, but it's worth the try..."

Arthur: "hm, good luck in that."

Mercury clean some blood he had in his mouth and then turn off the phone, making Arthur to sigh...

It was obvious that the plan to obtain the maiden's powers would fail, after all, Cinder, the 'mastermind' planned it.

And that makes him mad.

If HE had planned the attack, everything could be VERY different and a valuable ally like Emerald with her semblance wouldn't die.

...

But he couldn't complain because Salem was the one who chose Cinder to plan the attacks.

Despite Salem's decision, he was sure he was superior to her in every damn possible aspect.

...

So.... Why would she choose Cinder over him, who has demonstrated his analytical ability and intelligence on several occasions?

...

Oh right, he's not a woman, therefore he can't obtain the maiden's powers, damn.

Anyway, Cinder died, so maybe this is his chance to take charge and plan every damn strike on Beacon, maidens, and above all... Atlas.

Chuckling to himself, he realized he was about to reach his destination.

He could already see the huge black door where the queen of the grimm was surely conducting her own experiments with her own magic.

Just when he thought this was going to be peaceful, a scorpion stinger fell from the ceiling, almost stabbing him.

Despite the action, which would have scared or alerted everyone else, he remained calm because he knew who had done it.

"Tyrian, is there any particular reason you almost stabbed me?" he said calmly as Tyrian descended from the ceiling with a maniacal smile.

Tyrian: "Arthur Watts~ tell me, why do you want to DISTURB our queen? If it's something stupid, I'll slit your throat here and now." he said, as his stinger swiftly moved to Arthur's neck.

Arthur calmly pushed the stinger aside and began walking towards the door where Salem was.

"There are important news about Cinder's mission; i obviously won't disturb our queen over some unimportant news you idiot." he said seriously as Tyrian walked beside him.

That answer made tyrian grin wide even more.

The scorpion faunus was fascinated by Arthur's attitude; not only was he useful to their queen, but he was also difficult to intimidate.

He always act like he predicted everything or already had a plan for every situation.

"By the way, come in with me; you should also hear this news," Arthur said with a smirk, looking at Tyrian who just laughed loud.

"Oh, of course, they better be good news. I don't want my queen to be disappointed because a bunch of idiots couldn't complete a SIMPLE and STUPID assassination mission," he said as his smile widened and his stinger twitched with hostility.

("Oh shit") Arthur thought at Tyrian's threat.

("Meh, I'll think of something to soften the news") he thought calmly.

...

Thumb...

Thumb...

Izuku left the police station with a satisfied smile as he adjusted his tie.

The wind tousled his green hair, which along with his eyes of the same color, made them stand out menacingly in the darkness of the night.

With a slight chuckle, Izuku just proceeded to think aloud.

"What a splendid day! I got rid of a green nuisance and got what I wanted with Ozpin in that interrogation, maybe even more~" he said with a mocking smile as he clenched his hand tightly, causing red and black lightning to briefly appear.

"It's only a matter of time before this world fully recognizes my strength; I just need a few more semblances, and I'll be unstoppable!" he said as a crazy smile appeared on his face.

"No more hindrance from that inept Midoriya! Helping the White Fang? Doing things that Blake did in the original story? HAHAHA!...oh god, I'm here to change history myself, not to do the same thing any other idiot would!"

His eyes began to turn red, and his hair yellow due to the fire that appeared as he unconsciously activated 'burn' due to the euphoria of the moment.

"Hmm, now that I think about it, it's a pity I killed Cinder and Emerald so quickly; I would have liked to humiliate them again, but oh well, their deaths were necessary," he said as he flicked small fireworks from his fingers to distract himself.

Walking a bit further, he saw a building in the distance, a huge one but very far away.

"From here, I think it would be about 10 kilometers between that building and me...Hmm, I wonder what the city will look like from up there...well, I'll have to find out!" he said excitedly.

"Normally it would take me an hour or an hour and a half to make this journey...it's a good opportunity to use this new semblance!" he said as he got into a running position.

Closing his eyes, he concentrated and tried to activate a particular semblance.

Seconds passed until something began to emanate from Izuku's body.

Roses, red roses...

The roses began to surround his body, which began to feel much lighter and much more agile.

Sure, many already know what power this is, but for those who don't know, this semblance is...

Petal Burst, Ruby Rose's semblance!

But how did he get it?

That's something Ruby will explain later.

"NOW!" Izuku shouted with excitement, causing his body to dissolve into a mass of roses and quickly start moving away from the police station.

His speed and silence in movement would avoid problems with the hunters patrolling the area, so he wouldn't be caught if he took advantage of his advantage.

Another semblance in your pocket.

It's only a matter of time until you're... unstoppable.

...

(Ozpin pov)

...

Annoyance.

That's what I would define Izuku Midoriya as from my point of view and experience.

His smile and confident attitude already gave me bad vibes; when I talked to him about joining Beacon Academy, I thought he would refuse at first like all the troublesome youths I had to convince.

And if he did refuse, I already planned to blackmail him by telling him that if he didn't accept, he would be at the disposal of the police and the law, which it was true.

With his charges of violence, harassment, and vigilantism, he would have some serious problems with the police.

But he didn't refuse; in fact, he accepted almost immediately, as if he had been expecting it.

Suspicious.

"Hmm, this will take some time," he said, looking at the list Izuku gave him.

They were the identities of those currently working with Salem.

Or worked, like Cinder and Emerald.

Izuku himself told me what happened to them.

His power, his ego, and his indifference in killing were very annoying.

The good thing is that he's on our side for the moment.

"I know people like you, Izuku, people who think they're untouchable with their knowledge and power, after all, I was one of them too."

"Play your moves well, young man, because I've already started mine," he said seriously, looking at Izuku's document photo.

They had a good talk in the end.

The end

Short chapter, I know.

I have no excuse for taking so long; honestly, I lost imagination and creativity, but they are slowly coming back.

Also, I don't really like the MC that much; I like him to be bad, but I feel like I didn't give him a good story to be that way, I didn't delve much into the bullying he received.

Anyway, I'll try to publish more often.

Goodbye handsome ✌
