Chapter 4: Selection, Suspection and new apartment
My academy was about to start in a week. I was ready for it. After all, after the start of the academy I will get permission to enter the Konoha archives. The entry to E and D rank wasn't anything big but the jutsu aren't something I can find in the normal library. So, just some low rank jutsu can also be useful.
A week later,
I was standing in the academy ready for entry and test. According to the teacher we had to do some exercise to check our physical fitness. The test will determine the class of the student. According to my knowledge there are 3 to 4 section's the best student will be put in first, and others will be distributed in the rest. But there were only 400 children currently on academy grounds. Due to Konoha being a ninja village I expected to see 1000 children's at the very least. After all, it's been only 6 years since nine tailed fox had danced in the middle of the village and destroyed many houses, killed many people and ninja alike...
The first was pushups in which I dropped before sasuke who did the highest. The exam continued and I would always show like I am exhausted due to being a civilian and pushing myself to the limit to get either second or third rank. Every time I got second or third rank I would see application in clan heads' eyes due to despite being civilian I outclassed their children. Anger in some children's eyes due to defeating them. And finally sometimes annoyance or contemplative faces on academy teachers due to the same reason as clan heads.
Around three hours later 250 children were sent back to their home rest 150 were asked to stay our chakra were checked by a Hyuga clan member another 24 were sent back to their home until he come to me. I was standing at the end of the line. On seeing me a shocked looked appeared on the Hyuga's face I had highest chakra reserves which were on the level of the a genine. The Hyuga looked towards Hiyashi, he activated his byakugan the shocked look appear on his face but it again quickly converted to neutral face. I was asked to accompany the Hyuga who was standing in front checking chakra reserves to hokage building. After reaching there in the few minutes I was taken to hokage.
Just like in the anime, he was very old with a red hat on his head with kanji for fire on it. I thought about playing a little. I asked Hyuga who is this old man. Who got a tick mask on his face he said in an angry voice: "Brat this is the hokage of the village " I made a confused face and asked "who is hokage?" with the tilt of my head. The Hyuga's left eye started twitching and then he let out a sigh and said right you aren't even in academy.
A old man behind his desk was watching this all and let out a chuckle to which we both turned towards him. Then while looking at me he asked the Hyuga why did he bringed me to the office? The Hyuga bow down in respect and said "this kid has low genine level chakra at such a young age. I suspect he may be a spy from another village." A tick mark appeared on my forehead as I shouted at the one man " That's not true I daily exercise and I can stick leaf to my forehead for a hour." A impressed look came on old man's face. Then it was replaced by curiosity, he asked where did I find about it. I rummaged through my pocket and removed two page which I found in the area where older children stay who either fail in academy selection or help abit in the orphanage since they unlocked chakra. He took the paper and read them for a bit they, pages had leaf sticking exercise in details. He looked at me to which I explained him about how I got pages, after that he told the hyuga to take me back to academy. I turned around before going and asked old man who is he?
He chuckled softly on me calling him old man and remembered about another blond brat who do the same. With a grandfatherly smile he said I can call him "Gramps". I smiled at him and bit him goodbye.
after I coming back to the academy every one looked at me like I had grown a second head. The Hyuga talked to the teacher and he saw me in a new light.
After some time teacher gave me a piece of paper with keys and told me that I will live at this address I can shift all my things to this place. One academy teacher accompany me to the place and showed me interrior of the place. I had a massive face splitting grin on my face since I won't have to hide anymore. I bringed all of my things on the same day since I still had some energy left and it was only 3pm when my teacher left me there.
The orphanage lady helped me a bit to take things out of there. After packing she give me a box which had some blunt Kunai and Shuriken for my academy. She had given everyone the same box. According to her it was the gift from the hokage for getting selected, to all the orphans in the academy. My friends who did not get selected come and said goodbye to me.
