Chapter 25: Ingredients
"From what I have seen, the poison is one that decays your insides, and though potent enough I'm sure with time i could make some kind of potion to resist it" Kankuro said
"How much time do you need?" Temari asked
"Depending on how much time it would take you to get these ingredients" kankuro said handing them a list he just wrote down
"A desert sage, cactus flower, sand scorpion venom and Sunagakure mineral water! This would take us at least a day" Temari yelled
"For you, but if Gaara goes, it'll be easier and faster that i am sure of, so what do you say Gaara?"
"I'm sure I'm faster than Gaara though" Temari put up an arguable point
"Who's gonna protect you?" Gaara asked
"Huh? Don't look down on me, I have my means" Temari retorted back immediately
Gaara only looked at her, and gave a sigh, obviously he didn't have faith in her ability to defend everything but they're a team and hopefully miss Chiyo here would be active if a situation comes up.
Gaara simply left in search of the ingredients, it was not something difficult to find since they passed most of them while roaming the desert for the puppet.
Meanwhile immediately Gaara left kankuro called Temari and told her to try using wind style on the poison ahead which she did and it only dispatched the wind initially but after that it returned to its position.
'It seems there is a source for the poison meaning the closer we get to it the, harder it is to withstand the poison, I hope this will work'
Kankuro thought
'Typically I and Gaara would probably be able to walk past the poison area and into the desert but this is a team mission and even though we actively protect kankuro from the poison, what then?, what if we get attacked, it would be too much' Temari thought
And soon enough another sand storm started brewing but Temari was prepared this time and created a wind barrier for kankuro and Miss Chiyo while telling them to get behind her in a straight line.
Before the sand storm could open up Temari already dispersed it with her fan after seeing the eye of the storm.
This continued for a while until Gaara came back and handed the ingredients over and as for the poison, he brought the whole scorpion and the water he made a jar of sand and filled it with water, amd both plants were still on the desert sand above him, he didn't want to damage anything so he brought them whole and brough four pairs of them.
This stunned his teammates a little as that was a versatile way to do it, convenient for only Gaara.
Soon kankuro go to work and started by grinding the desert sage and cactus plant into powder, diluting the scorpion venom and mineral water to make sure its safe for consumption, and then mixing them together while chanting a protective jutsu to activate its properties.
After doing that he picked up twelve vials and told them to hold three each and take one every two hours and also that this potion was a lesser version so they are effects like weak body functions and it stacks so be careful.
